Is the Bankhead considered a “beginners” pattern?

I would say it’s simple enough to be a confident beginners’ pattern - so long as the person can knit/purl and k2tog. the one thing that might be more tricky for a beginner is the twisted rib - knitting through the back loop. as it’s a free pattern no harm in trying it!! I love this pattern so much and have just knit another hat from it 😊
