Original owner of an 07 V6 EX sedan auto. It’s been a great car all these years with 255,000 miles and still my daily. Still original engine and drivetrain. Awesome not needing a car payment since paying it off in 2010. Still drives great.
@@juliuscaesart depends on the engine and transmission it has. How many owners it has had and if they maintained it. If they have always serviced it on time every time, then yes if it has no trouble codes, no suspension rattles, no blue or white smoke, no dirty tailpipe, engine compression looks good. You might hear a little lifter tick and that wouldn’t scare me. If AC is still ice cold, I’d take a chance on it. A couple items ive replaced were DIY on my car, wheel bearings, one starter motor, and one rear brake caliper. I do all my own maintenance, including the timing belt and water pump in the V6.
@@juliuscaesart
It will but it’s not worth $6k, i just bought one with 200k miles for $2k
@@mysticpebbles9652 yes, if it is mechanically sound and was well taken care of. I still drive mine and now has 270,000 and still drive long distance with it if needed. I also replaced the headlight assemblies myself over the summer cause they were yellowing and man, made it so clean again.
I went from riding a bike to getting my older sisters 05 accord at 19. 2 years later and I barely had to take it in for maintenance issues other than standard ones. I also find good parts for it at the nearby junkyard so I was blessed from the beginning 😇
@@hcsswest5047 I personally don’t know but I used to just look online and do research and watch DIY videos. Inspecting your car is important and more frequent the older it gets. I got mine with around 205k miles on it. It is still running strong for me but I’ve been experiencing some problems lately when I changed the oil a few times and I couldn’t figure it out myself so I had to take it to a mechanic. And make sure to not overpay on it. Probably 4-5k is good for a functioning accord with that mileage and year but do research!
@@Santi29o Sorry for the late response. If I do recall one was for a rotor replacement as mine was way too long overdue for a change and the other was getting a replacement alternator (used tho)
Used car prices have skyrocketed, but this car is a tank.
My 06 accord has 210k and still running.
The shop said it's small seal inside the tranny. Cheap part atmospheric labor. I wasn't sure if they're telling the truth but it seems oil drips to the ex manifold and it wasn't from valve cover.
My parents own a car like this. I really love driving it.
i plan on buying this car within a few weeks, do you know if its good in the snow?
Fax what a powerful lil shit I ended up buying my own identical one as my fosta parents lol
Today I was blessed by a coworker, sold me his 2005 Accord LX 2.4 Manual transmission, 179,000 miles, $1500… runs great, only used 2 gallons driving 60+ miles uphill in southern cali up the grapevine. Needs some tlc, oil change, detail interior, A/C , radio, headliner, BUT I can do all repairs/maintenance etc
These mid 2000 year Honda vehicles still selling for plenty with 200,000 miles. Insane
I just got one with 98k for 5k. I'm happy that it's a manual plus it was adult owned.
If you do a creak test on these, they are by far the most solid car I’ve ever felt. Honda engineered this car so well.
I love regular car reviews! It's way more relatable for the average guy who can afford the average car =)
Thank you my friend yea I enjoy doing these because this is a budge most can work with
I have a 2006 Honda EX 3.0L with nav. I still prefer the nav over Waze or Google Maps. My car still looks great, doesn’t have any rattles, has plenty of power and has 229K miles with no signs of slowing down. This generation of the Accord is solid.
I have an 07 EX-L V6 with nav with 120k miles. The guy I bought it from had all the maintenance records for the cars entire life. Got it for $6k and I love it!
Can always tell the ‘05’s by their rear taillight assembly. They had negative feedback from the ‘03 & ‘04 and changed it to this full red with the little white spot in the lower middle for 1 year. The ‘06 & ‘07 were changed again (and looked much better in my own opinion).
I personally like the rear end of the 05 more cause it gives me a retro feel with the enlarged size of the rear lights.
I owned the 2006 model year EXL. It gave me 360,000 miles of hard driving. Loved that car.
@@lifeisabadjoke5750 finally all the oil leaks got so bad that they would saturate all of the belts.
Do more of these haha. I’ve been looking for a beater for this coming Winter.
Arguably the best Accord ever, the 7th generation 2003-2007
Yes the best generation of the accord engine-wise. Bullet-proof from day one. Changes the ignition coils, spark plugs and upper and lower control arms now it rides like a new car. Keeping my 2006 Accord forever.
VTEC V6 is so fun and the throttle responds great for a cheap car I get plenty of smiles per gallon
V6 is legendary with these Hondas probably one of the top V6s in the game in my opinion
@@MeynMotorGroup exactly I have had the chance to own some decent American muscle cars in my life but I gotta say these older V6 engines are so well tuned at the factory that 200 hp feels so fast in my Honda even when I'm driving 40 mph it feels like your doing 70 mph it's weird but I love that
I have a champagne ’05 Honda accord and I must say she’s a fantastic looking car and can too go fast, thank you very much! I hate the idea of having to get another car one day. I hope I can keep her lasting forever.
I have a 06 with 218k still going strong only regular maintenance has been done still drives great only thing is the suspension is starting to make a some noise it being all original but I’ve had it for 3 years paid 6k for it at 180k miles. Only thing I have to say is the cold air intakes sound good but they will throw a check engine light pretty quickly if they aren’t properly tuned good cars though
Love these reviews, my dad bought a 1991 Toyota Cressida (AUS) not sure what you guys called there but I remember asking my dad back then why did you buy that it's boring. After 15 years with out any major fault I realised why he bought it. Great video on these types of cars Kevin really enjoy them. Brenton🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you my friend! And yea cars can def last If they are taken care of
As a Lexus owner now.. I sometimes miss the handling on my Old 2002 Honda Accord.. coupe I use too have… every drive was fun & so memorable .. ❤️❤️❤️…!!!!
@@charlesjackson1700 Exactly.. always got praised from the people riding in it.. saying how good that car rode
Thanks for a good video.
I have a black 2004 Honda Accord EX 2.4 liter 4 cylinder, which looks near identical to the Accord in your video.
240,000 miles.
Almost nothing other than routine maintenance.
Runs and drives as near-new.
Can't say how much I like my Accord.
I owned the first Accord model in 1977, a 2 door hatchback.
It was a great car as well.
Great review. Now you’re making me rethink handing down my IS to my daughter 😂.
Hahah I think it's fine it was mostly a light hearted joke but I'm sure she would appreciate the IS great looking car
Excellent review Kevin, and right on. My son works "downtown" and has an 01 Accord with 175k or so as a work car. I drove it recently, seats are worn, paint faded, buy it drives so well that it is startling. Honda and Toyota just have it down, they make the best.
I got a 03 cheap, but I see comments that they are priced to high. I think a well maintained one is easily worth the higher prices
Great driver dependable. Affordable on all counts.
I'd never thumb my nose at an Accord. I sold a 1992 LX for $700 in 2008 when the Engine mounts needed repair... One of the dumbest things I've done in life.
188k miles on my 07' exl 2.4 doesn't burn a drop of oil. Paid off in a few months keeping it forever.
Hondas and Toyota products of this period are about bullet proof. Not thrilling cars...but safe reliable transportation that has a low cost of ownership
Everything he says is soo accurate. My 03 has 216,000 and runs like a top it’s nuts how well it compares to a 2017 fusion. Made in Japan!!
I have a 2005 6mt 6 speed coupe. So fun to drive
I had a 72 Jevelin/AMX and had 175,000+ miles on it and never had a significant issues. Having sold Accords and Civics, 200k-250k miles is common on a trade. My last CR-V had 250k at trade-in.
GREAT CARS!!!
Have the v6 version of this. Still a dream to drive.
Now your ballin brother 😂🤣😂 I drive my 02 coupe pedal to the floor I luv it
I just bought a 05 Honda for $3,800 is that a good deal?
These and 8th gen Civics are hot in the first car market
@@YannickKhong Damm that’s a steal. I got a 2010 LX with 100k for $6500 back in 2019
I own an 07 accord, best car for the money!
I have an intake and exhaust and with the right exhaust it sounds amazing
I owned this model. Bought it new in 2005. Owned it for 13 years. Not one single problem. Sold it because we needed a bigger vehicle for kids.
That's the model taillight i prefer , i hate the other angular taillight design.
Quick yet extensive review for this car. I happen to have one. I purchased it for $ 3600 dollars. I immediately placed $ 700 dollars worth in repairs; drive belt, ac compressor, ATF change and plugs. I had to fix the ripped leather seats upfront for another $ 300. I later drained the ATF for a second time and bought four new tires. I am up at $ 6000. Since I plan to keep it for some time, it was money well spent. Cars are too expensive nowadays, so I feel that I made a good buy. One only complaint about the review: drop the vulgar language. It doesn't add to what is a good review.
Oh please. What vulgar language??? And did you replace the AC compressor by itself or the whole comple AC system?
I bought this same model about 4 months ago. The radio wouldn't turn off. It made this static sound when you turn off the engine and it sucked the life out of the battery. My mechanic had to kill the radio. I have a check engine light that doesn't go away. It seems that is nothing serious because I took it to two mechanic friend of mines and they found nothing serious. Light is still on though. Protect your car from the sun too. The paint peels off you will see many cars like this with paint peeled off. Water is getting inside the car. They changed the seal around the windshield and water is still coming inside. Im not too happy with this car. I mean I bought it used. It had 98K miles on it. Not too bad. Hopefully these issues with the check engine light and water coming inside is fixed so I can have a peace of mind.
This is my first car. It was my moms and i bought it off her when she got a new car. Tinted the windows and thats all it needed to look dope as fuck. When you take car of it and make it look clean and new, it look super classy and expensive
Had one of this generation and it was solid. Burned oil every 1k miles and had a light for the cat on but not bad
Back when Honda cared enough to put a relatively advanced suspension on a mainstream sedan.
Got a gold 05 (basic version - 4 cylinder) with 204,000 miles. Just do the coolant and the transmission oil at the dealer. Everything else is cool.
Have the coupe ex with a injen intake, that I just hit 150k miles on. I probably won't sell it after I pick up the new Corolla hatchback. Insurance each month is damn cheap on it too. I had to replace the engine+transmission mounts and it now drives so nice. One thing with this model is that it does leak oil, so you wanna keep an eye on that. Door lock actuators may get funky. However, still a loyal car.
Great review. Can you recommend a good sounding intake for an 05 manual ?.
i had a 2012 Accord LX-S with the same engine and transmission as this car youre reviewing and damn, it was slow. Just no excitement at all from it and it was only a 90k mile car, but i got it used. Maybe more used than I thought. I tried a K&N Typhoon whatever intake thing and it made it worse. From an almost 22mpg it dropped down to no more than 15mpg combined and it was instant that the performance dropped. Even idled rough. Oh well, had my fun with it and sold it. 18 second 0-60 leaving a toll booth and thats flooring it, or standing on the gas pedal as you said it :D. Time to go back and watch LS430 videos
Review a 2007 Camry!🔥🔥
I think that’s the year they had the murderous floor mats that accidentally accelerated the car, and they got recalled for that
@@charlesjackson1700 at the time I member the issue, it was the floor mats. They got wedged under the gas pedal and whoooaaaaaa hold on!!
A pragmatic first car, I remember mine it was a 1964 Datsun Bluebird with crank start as well as electric :)
@@MeynMotorGroup What I meant to say was key start so starter motor run off the battery but if that failed which it did a couple of time or the battery was flat you could pull out the crank handle and fire it up :)
Oh I see I'm a nut thought you were driving a 64 Hybrid 😅😂 like I'm sure we would all know about that Datsun lol
@@MeynMotorGroup It was more putty than metal as they used to rust badly back then and I'll never forget it I was driving down a country dirt road in the middle of the night heading to the Colo river from the Hawksbury river when going around a bend I hit the floor switch which activated the high beams when all the lights went off, I puckered up so tight you couldn't have stuck an American Express card between the cheeks of my arse, and somehow made it around the bend without incident before managing to hit the switch and the low beams coming back on again LOL. had some good times with that car before getting rid of it for a 1977 Chrysler/Mitsubishi Sigma 2000 and what a car that was it was quicker that my mate's Escort Cosworth 2000
Even though the interior isn't in the best condition I think I'm just one of those ppl who think any interior that isn't black or even gray depending on the interior looks good or fancier 😆, nice video bro
I have a 2011 Accord V6 & it's only 200 miles away from the 100K mile mark :)... Btw I just put an intake and an exhaust on mine (mostly for sound purposes). The V6 is already fast enough stock
My best friend at JCSU has this exact car. It is a classic.
Thank you for the review
I just bought this exact car as this review but nighthawk Pearl blue paint instead. 110,000 miles, paid 6900 without taxes, which included a bunch of maintenance the Honda dealership did on it. Fantastic car I just have to fix the stupid driver's seat rocking motion which is super annoying/ common but at least there's a fix for it.
I don't really agree with how he was driving it. That's not how the 4 cylinder version of this car is meant to be driven. You can get really good fuel efficiency from the four-cylinder if you drive it chill and relaxed. The way he was driving he was getting absolute shit gas mileage. It's not a fun car to floor but that's because it's designed for efficiency. The six cylinder version is fun to race around but it eats gas like crazy. I prefer efficiency there's no point in racing around you just get speeding tickets. I prefer to race around on the water (jet ski)
Car review buddy it's called a test isn't that why people watch these things? You can always watch grandma down the street but you won't learn anything from that.
Do you it’s wise buying this car now for 4000 Australian dollars and has 177k km on clock
Great video
Can hear you a honda fan
I have one similar and it drives very fast it’s a 2005 too
Do you like/prefer the 9th gen over this 7th gen Accord?
My friends used to have one of these. 257k miles and she still sold it for 2k.
I have a '05 Accord sedan LX 150,000 miles, did regular oil changes and fluid flushes, replaced serpentine belt once. Works great. Is there anything else (major) that needs to be done ie replacing the timing belt at this point (or in the future)?
Check you radiator cold 1x per week
Keep up with your oil changes every 3k miles. 100k = injectors. Keep up on plugs cabin filter in glove box. Engine air filter too.
My 2005 ex just hit 300,000 miles and it runs like a champ
Dam my 04 is currently at 165,000 nothing wrong with it but I was thinking maybe I should sell it or not 🤔
god fkin damn it, this car still looks so car for 2021, fresh as hell, the accord is too clean, but im a v6 guy
Dude I know right.. even the interior despite the radio still looks modern-ish to me.
Can someone help me. Guy is selling a 05 ex-l accord with 160,000 miles for 3400 hundred. From the pics it has a split in the front bumper and like a small hole in the driver side back end not sure what that is, I will ask. But if it turns out to be nothing major is this a good deal?
Honďa accord and es 300 2002 which 1 is good drive comfort car ? Kelvin
I love those wheels on the 05 accord better than 06 accord but the body style is better on 06!
My dad had this exact car but it was an 0'3 and it lasted until like 300k miles and then the car died
How come you didn't mention the fact that the 05 Accord has frequent total transmission failure? Am I mistaken about this or do you not know?
Don't diss the looks, it's not bad at all!!!! It looks like my 2007 Corolla but almost certainly drives better..
Ahhh I test drove a Satin Silver EX-L & a Redondo Red V6 back in 2004 (fresh outta high school) & wooo the V6 just pulled away effortlessly ! Seriously, these are premium autos ! Why ? Because it has 170k miles and can go another 200k without taking out a second mortgage unlike some brands..*COUGH* BMW !!
Spend $1200 & reupholster the seats, spend a Saturday doing some paint correction and you’re good to go 👍🏽
V6 would def be amazing in this. Need to get Dave back on the channel to talk about some bimmers
Found one for 3.5k with 57k original miles and super mint condition 😭 if I had the money I’d buy it, it’s a personal seller so I can’t do payments lol
Why your temperature is too high? 3.0 V6 own here.
I love this car I have 900,000 miles on this car and have minimum problems.
I’m gonna assume it’s on its second transmission
I own a 2005 with a V6. 150K miles. Still on its first transmission. Still trouble free.
the 4 cylinder ones didn’t have the problems that the 6 cylinder ones had, primarily because of how much load the transmission gets? i’ve always seen V6 Accords of that generation way more abused than 4 cylinder ones. I have an 03 TL Type S 03 that’s on its original transmission and 177k miles, regular transmission oil changes and no abusing will make it last a long time. it will go out eventually, but people can most definitely prolong it
i still have one of this a 2005 ,let me tell you i dont sell it for nothing ,the best car i ever know ,18 years one single problem a 48 dollar radiator sensor rarararararararara ,all the rest is original even the starter
K24 Legendary Motor
I had an 03 same Gen. which is suppose to be one of the worst models.. I had no issues luckily. I might grab another one. Ok Kevin 03-06 Accord or 02-06 Camry?
does it have an aux entrance?
Bro do a 2010 model LX 4 cyl review if u find one. Maybe even compare that with this 05 to what which one you like better
I got a 2005 Accord 4 cly with 177k miles
I have an 05 LX with 168,000 miles,im pretty sure the racket pinion is giving me problems, only the drivers side window works gotta get a main window switch for the other windows to work, really good car though...
sorry to hear about those issues but yes I do think it is a good car regardless
Yes the 2004 honda accord ex coupe is noticeable faster and has blue led headlights with a fully leather seats with a much better sound system and has a sunroof for 2004 it’s the shit with the K24A4 engine and a V6 💀
I have the stick shift coupe its awesome
This cars super reliable
You should review an avalon, dont think you reviewed a single one. 11-12 is a good year for them.
