Premo does the same beats over and over....Loop soul sample, similar drum pattern, and other rapper's lyrics scratched into the hook...I think Nas has evolved past that sound at this point. The music he does now fits a 50 year old man better. Hit boy is more diverse and refined.

Magic is a classic. I wasnt a fan of a lot of the beats from Hit Boy but Magic is precisely named because I think the beats match Nas flow.

@@MarkHallOfFame Enough of what "sound"? What are you talking about? People think current day producers offer a new texture when they actually are regurgitating old styles and methods.
Premo does the same beats over and over....Loop soul sample, similar drum pattern, and other rapper's lyrics scratched into the hook...I think Nas has evolved past that sound at this point. The music he does now fits a 50 year old man better. Hit boy is more diverse and refined.

@@MarkHallOfFame Dj Premier did the track with Anderson Paak on the Compton soundtrack, which I was shocked to learn that coz it sounds nothing like what I'd expect from him . His sound is very evolved these days... But I agree. Using the same formula for 30 years can get a bit nauseating

Aged gracefully like fine wine, Nas is timeless. He took us on his life journey with his music, growing up in QB to becoming successful and being one of the all time greats. He always kept it humble and real in his evolution as a man. Salute king 👑
