A very interesting incident happened to me after a month of moving here for my masters. I was in the same intake as you, so this incident was in October where my entire backpack was cut from my shoulders without me even knowing. I was carrying groceries back home after university and on the way back I travelled through London Overground and Bus. Somewhere in the middle, I was having severe headaches all of a sudden and my backpack was taken from me. Till this date, I was not able to pinpoint the time and place of the event. The backpack had a lot of important things like my BRP card, my hard disk (which had all my projects from the past 6 years), my journal, bank passbook, and some other things. Later, I was informed by the police itself that there exist a lot of gangs who follow you even if you are travelling by public transport especially international students, they even told me that Romanian gangs are mostly active in this way. So overall, a very difficult phase for me to recover some of the damage, both emotionally and monetarily.
P.S- I never take my bag off my shoulders ever unless I reach my destination or home. So, this was a unique experience.

Is it okay if i show bank statement for 1 month rather than 6 months. Is there any mandatory rule that I have to show 6 month bank statement?

Yes. Take a flight to London Heathrow and then get a domestic flight to Edinburgh or you can take a train too...
Note: book flights of the same company so that in case your first flight gets delayed or may be due to any reason you miss the second flight, they will arrange you the second flight.

Hi Ritwik wanted to clear some doubts that I have. So I am reaching London Heathrow airport in September. And flight reaches the airport late evening like around 8pm so as it might be difficult for me to board bus to Norwich at that time can you tell me whether I can wait the night in the airport and in the morning leave for a bus? It's just budget friendly and safer for me. Can you please suggest if it's ok to stay in the airport the night? I am a bit confused
I dont think it should be a problem. Have you tried budget friendly hotels near the airport
