Wow... that was some heck of a mess you inherited from the last contractor...I'm able to watch a number of videos . Get the pros and cons of what works and what turns into a mess.. What extra machines are helpful.
Here is Pa we can't burn. So I go in with a 12 inch chipper a wheel loader with a log grapple and a excavator. I'll cut down the trees leaving the stumps. When everything is chipped and cut to size. Then the stumps come out.
No.. I just chip into the side or on the path of my or road. The chips help keep the mud down.. Just the branches I cut and leave the main tree on the side. Basically about 4 to 8 inches goes through the chipper. I'm just looking at getting rid of the branches and not have them getting in the way. Is it slower in some ways? I'm sure it is but it's done and out of the way. As you know sometimes the mess from the trees can be overwhelming when you're doing it yourself. I like the set up that v-belt and son has or cottontop3 has. Both of those you tubers have nice machines.
Not a lot of room to work there for sure, good that you have some slope to be able to get rid of the water, if you can manage that muck in the mean time. Good video 👍
The one on the 306 is made better to fit the size of the machine. As far as the pin length and strength of the machine. The 309 is way to powerful for the style of thumb that's on it.

Yeah there was no clear easy way to do this job. I only had a 25 foot wide easement to work in and a swamp. Nobody else wanted to touch it lol

I've thought about investing in a track chipper. I'd like to see if I can sell the chips or something like that. Do you ever sell the chips to a mill?

I gotcha. Yeah if I could just get limbs out of the way instead of waiting to burn them, it would make a world of difference.
You've come a long way from making mud pies at Maw Maw's! So much work, makes me tired just watching the videos. Proud of you!
This has been the worst job
Maw maw’s mud pie baby?
@@scottaddison8071 playing in the mud at my grandmother's 🤣
My maw maw fed me collards Green’s several times a week and I made some special green mud pies
@@scottaddison8071 Ha Ha, exactly! Who knew then that he'd make a living one day playing in the mud?!
What a mess! Somebody sure didn't care about what they left behind with all the water traps they made.
No they didn't. I heard they sunk a tractor and never came back after they got it out.

Yeah man I'm just doing the best I can with it. It was left in a mess all winter so now I get to deal with it. I appreciate you bro
If you don’t like the thumb on Cat 309, then why did you get another one just like it?
