This looks more like RID 2015 Bumblebee than the actual Bumblebee toy.

All I got to say is Sunstreaker's car mode looks great. Speeding down the wartorn highways of Cybertron as the Decepticon forces break through the front lines.
-I like to think that if he had physically appeared in the Bumblebee movie, we would have seen him as the Autobot that said "Look out, incoming!" Before Soundwave, Starscream, and Shockwave made their entrance.
Absolutely. It's got such a cool vibe, and it even looks like it'd be at home on the Transformers 1 Surface.

The female's skin grows around the eggs, forming a bunch of honeycomb-like cells on her back. Once the eggs hatch, the toadlets burst through their mother's skin, leaving a bunch of holes in her back. Unlike other amphibians, the babies don't start out as tadpoles, they're already fully formed toads ehen they hatch. The babies just look like tiny versions of the adults.

This might be completely unrelated, but I just got a sealed Alternators Wheeljack off of ebay. Man, I can't believe you used to be able to get an accurate replica of a licenced car with a great looking unique robot mode for £20, I really wish Hasbro would bring back some sorta "pseudo-Masterpiece but cheaper with new designs" kind of line.
I know right! I am so jealous of the people who were able to acquire the Alternator toys, I was so young at the time when they were relevant. Wish some day they chose to reissue them if they can.
This looks so good, love how Hasbro’s really giving us concept characters. Just a great concept, hope to see a concept Sideswipe soon!

hasbro making every SS sub line as a way to have non movie characters in, all the while having the options to do even more bayverse characters (such as breakaway for the gamer edition and all the toy exclusive character for the concept serie)

I personally don't think complicated transformations are a negative, but that's just another subjective thing.

I like complicated one's as well, but there is also overcomplicated too.
Even tho I don't share you dissgust of the head, I do agree he has at best ok looking robot mode, but a quite nice looking cyberpunk carmode.
Also I googled bouth of your "do not look it up" warnings.

The Toad make me want to rip off all my skin. It's babies are Zits... I'm uncomfortable even writing that.
Degloving is also quite bothersome.
The Optimus. Followed by this one. The Optimus has an awesome look, Great Posing, a fun inventive transformation, and a great altmode.
And this because it's just uncomplicated. The others are either over complicated, or just in general have no great points.
I looked up de gloving, think the toad wasn't that bad. But holy shit de gloving would make the doom slayer creep out

The Transformation is good, but normally that would just make me wish for a better figure around that?
Honestly I think that's the only explanation I can come up with
I personally am not a fan of the weird fan wheel thingies. If they wanted a hovercar aesthetic, they should have been angled down. If they wanted a normal wheel aesthetic, they shouldve just made normal wheels. Honestly my big problem is that they dont break up the sea of yellow on the side view like how the black of black tires would. Honestly i wouldve hated them less if the fan rim thingies were orange like the splitter at the front, which would preserve that they are part of the car shell while also breaking up the side of the car like real wheels.
I don't think they are supposed to be a Hovercraft thing, I think the are either supposed to be made out of energy, or like are making a magnetic field.
Maybe it's just me but when the close up of the face happened itunironically put a chill up my spine. Looks like he's infected with some kind of disease and crowding up he's face

Part of the reason the cab looks off is because the hood pieces are connected to their hinges backwards out of the box. Popping them off and spinning them around should make the front look a good bit cleaner.

I think you will like him a good bit. The Transformation is quite satisfying. And unlike me you won't feel absolute revulsion from his face. Literal actual Revulsion, I am not exaggeration, this is not Hyperbole. His face creeps me out.
I hope sunstreaker is sign we get more concept art figures or even updated versions of the old toy exclusive characters.

I think that is what the intention is, they are introducing “concept” characters this year to first see the demand for them and after they sell well they’ll produce more. Also there is an upcoming Widow Maker from AOE coming in 2025 too!
Speaking of your last video, I'm betting they'll retool this into Rescue Bots Blurr given the vehicle mode and torso.

And I LOVE the car mode, it gives me something that I have always wanted in a vehicle mode for a transformers figure.

Guess what I got a second copy of MP Skyfire. So I'm officially more hardcore than you. I got both legends, but I sold the TNT cos the shoulders were very loose. I mean the TNT has double shoulder joints, which is good, but only the hotrod shoulders work. Incidentally, ThatToyGuy calls them Triiggerhappy shoulders. Anyway I got siege but not Vincoroor cos it's a KO sold at commander price. I sold my Thrilling 30 too.
Anyway, I just want to say I figured out what the issue was with compressing his backpack. If his wings are tucked too deep, they will clash when you attempt to collapse the backpack. So, I pulled the wings out a pit, compress the backpack from below, then the sides, and it worked without issue.

That Toy Guy is wrong to call them that, as they were first on Hotrod long before they were on Triggerhappy, and they are on like 90% of Hotrods, where there's only 1 Triggerhappy who has them.

If you've not seen the videos I do with my brother, he thinks Sunstreaker is ugly beyond belief.
Yeah, I really like this thing too. Despite its flaws, it’s just a really solid deluxe figure. It’s honestly near the top spot for me for my favorite Cybertron mode BB movie Autobot. At first it was a toss up between Wheeljack and Arcee, but now it’s a toss up between Wheeljack and Sunstreaker.
I’d also like to comment how fast this thing and SS gamer Sideswipe (of which has also gotten some pretty great responses for) were available online for direct purchase. Usually it’s always pre-order first, but not with those two figures. They were ready to be delivered right out of the gate. Oh, if only more Transformers figures were that readily available after announcement.
So many people are buying these two together to have the Autobot Brothers to them selves.

Well PE I think you may be crazy seeing as I know you’ve complained about the shoulders before at least with Tarn. Anyways Sunstreaker is a strange thing to me seeing as it’s a “concept art” figure though we’ve never seen the art, I’d be more accepting of the CA line overall if we could actually just see the fricken art.
I complained about how they look bad on him, but I don't think I complained about this issue, though maybe I am insane.
I might pick this up as my only BBM SS figure, just for the Transformation. I just love how fun some good transformations are.

I always thought It was just me up until a few years back but unfortunately it's a real phobia. I can't even a frigging bowl if honeycomb cereal. 😭 (Great review). A lot of people are REALLY trying to look it up, and fortunately most of them are seeing that it just looks like a Toad and not going deeper, to find the real horror.

I wanna know how your brain works. I love movie designs and tf prime that you hate. I like the visual complexity and sleekness. You love blocky figures that I don't like as they look clunky to me. Yet we are still in the same fandom.
They don't look clunky. Sure they are square but based on like the Magic Square prime they can be INSANELY articulated. Meanwhile the Highmoon designs always have far from perfect articulation.

I didn't really want this, but i saw a picture of this with gAmEr EdItIoN Sideswipe and thought "I get it."
They do share a vibe, and it makes sense to want the two together.
i preordered the fig a month ago and just arrived on Saturday and even though I don't have a personal connection to sunstreaker, I'm loving it so far. Maybe because it's my first hasbro fig after so many years (I just got into collecting transformers). Am hoping for an upgrade kit for it to give the shoulders more range but overall, it's one solid figure.

Epic review PerspectiveEnd!! I got Sunstreaker just to have him stand besides Gamer Edition Sideswipe, since this is only the second time the Autobot Lamborghini brothers were given figures released at the same time, the first time was the G1 figures in 1984. lol Keep on being amazing.

I can't remember where I learned about Degloving, but I assume it was movies. The Surinam Toad I learned about from my brother. And Kirkenburg arms I learned about from a weird friend.
hinestly, I follow you cause sometimes you're a fun goofball, also you're one of the few reviewers that are willing to play out the bad parts of a figure, which, as someone who has a pretty small colelction budget, is really helpfull, on top of reminding me of AVGN era angry reviewers, which is not soemthing you see often for transformers.
but yeah, those shoulder designs should have been left in the unicron trilogy, because apart from a few specific cases, I always see a way to easily engineer more normal shoulders.
I was probably very heavily influenced by AVGN and the Channel Awesome stuff.

The only thing I like about this figure is that it looks NOTHING like the disgusting art on the box it comes in.
The box art is qute different yes.
For me the boey looks very cool and so much better then the box art design that thing is so fat and chubby and tho i love some fat boi transformers but it just looked ugly on that desgin,the altmode is cool tho id love more color like i think a pattern like the shattered glass blur or the laser prime scourge deco would make this alt mode look more alive cause for me it looks kinda bland, probably wont be picking this guy up but if i ever find this guy on sale for like 12 pounds which i find often with deluxe transformers in my aera he couldn be a nice impulse buy

I’m not gonna lie, the Bumblebee movie line is a lot less appealing to me after RotB killed my hopes for the movie franchise.

Sunstreaker really gained weight, his 3d render is not doing him justice
He lost weight after the 3D render. That or the camera put like 100 pounds on him.
Honestly no matter how bad a figure may be as long as the transformation is great hand candy that's what makes the fig great look as seige side swipe mold it's such a mid fig but it's transformation is so much fun tho flip them
A good Transformation does make up for a lot.
It's a meh for me. Maybe going to wait for a sale. Wonder if they'll repaint it to be sideswipe

I got the figure 2 months ago along with BBM Shockwave all I have to say is The face just looks like a cybertronian Freddy Kruger.
I dislike the yellow and orange combo colors.
Last thing to mention when I looked the CGI render of him I was thinking to myself why does his torso look so damn wide.
I agree the vehicle mode looks good but the robot mode has faults that I personally have issues with.
You aren't wrong about the Freddy Kruger thing, though I think it's even uglier than that.
And yes the Torso is WIDE as hell.

It's decent. It looks really good, but the altmode doesn't feel like it's finished. It just feels a little loose.

Apparently most copies of Concept Synstreaker have that issue where the windshield doesn’t sit flush in vehicle mode due to a misassembly issue. Including your copy. The panels that for the headlight/front bumper sections are the majority of the time installed incorrectly. At 6:03, you notice how the windshield doesn’t sit flush and that there is a small triangular notch cut out on the rotating hinge on the calf panels that form the front of the vehicle mode, that’s the part that is missasembled. It luckily very easy to fix, since those panels are held in by friction. All you have to do is pop those panels off, rotate the hinge 180 so that that triangular notch is facing the windshield. Then pop the calf panels back on and now the windshield will sit flush in vehicle mode.
Well that explains a lot. Man I hope that's not a pain to fix. Thanks for the tip.
This figure just has that satisfying vibe to it the face is a love action face and it can pose but feels good to fiddle/transform. My buddy has it as a sunstreaker/sideswipe favourite characters and the car is nice but the robot looks good until you try to pose him
I can not agree that the face is good, but I do like this figure a lot.
Anything above a core class not having wrist swivels is so cursed.
Chase didn't have them, but he did at least have Narcisiwrists just for the hell of it, that was not part of the Trasnformation.

I love this figure as well. I always have a good time when I mess with it, I think that is why most of us like it. And that is a very important part for a figure. Like Master Piece and their panel forming now days... SUCK!!!
