That's true. With only 100dollar capital, your account can't hold the floating if you follow the master trader with big account size.
Be wise. Trading is not quick money scheme. It's also not a forecasting or assuming the direction of market. Trading is about managing you capital and know what to do if market against you

Well I don't think that a weird choice but if ur master equity is higher than then I should choose proportional but if ur equity is higher or the same then choose equity
