I never get tired of these King ranking lists. He is an amazing author and I’m saying that as somebody who only started reading his books back in January.
Liked this, 47 short reviews and not at all predictable, would never have guessed the top pick!
You all probably dont care at all but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost the password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
@Junior Jake instablaster =)
@Mordechai Francis thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Mordechai Francis It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account !
@Junior Jake happy to help :D
Finally a person who wouldn’t spend 10 minutes explaining 200 topics to discuss.
My personal favorites go like this:
1. It
2. 11/22/63
3. The Stand
4. The Shining
5. The Dead ()one (keyboard can't type the first letter of the third word)
6. Pet Sematary
7. Doctor Sleep
8. Different Seasons
9. Christine
10. Duma Key
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Drawing at 2 is very very accurate and what you said is spot on.. that's as wild and imaginative as it gets. The fact you haven read Pet Semitary or The Stand literally floors me...
Most unconventional rating vid of King’s work that I’ve seen and I enjoyed the format. Nicely done!
Subscribed!
Wow! IT @ 23 and The Shining @ 17. Respect for having a different list, brother!
Such a unique list. I love hearing other opinions, especially ones not beholden to the normal lists. Having said that, I was still shocked to see The Dark Half, and Doctor Sleep on the bottom of the list. And thrilled to see 11/22/63 so high. And Hearts in Atlantis is so underrated. Well done
Heeelll yeah! I loved Dolores Claiborne, absolutely inhaled it over 3 days (which is lightning quick reading, for me!). Totally underrated imo.
Great video! Just bought myself a copy of Misery yesterday 👍🏼
you have no idea how excited i got when you said hearts in atlantis was number one. it's my top favorite book of all time and it definitely doesn't get the recognition that it deserves.
Your content is amazing, keep going bro🤠 I'm reading"it" and am loving it..the best part of Stephen King is that he captures human emotions very well which resonates with our own stories✨
Once you read The Stand, you’ll be bumping it pretty high up the list; I’m sure.
To be honest I did not like the second half of The Stand, so in my list it is high
@@DavidCorderoM I felt the same way I love the first half and like the second half
@@DavidCorderoM
Spot on, the second half disappoints.
My favorite, so far, is 11/22/63.
And my least favorite, so far, is The Eyes of the Dragon.
Reading Funk it also has one of Kings best endings
Solid comment. Eyes is weak
Bruh where are The Stand and Green Mile
You should get them ASAP
I just finished Rose Madder. II already read it years ago. Next I'm gonna reread The Talisman.
Love your shirt.
Thank you.
Wow, I didn't think it could be done but you did it: ranking nearly 50 King books (and why) in less than 12 minutes. Concise, but informative. Well done.
Dr sleep in the top bomttom? :O Wow, I love it
Me too, actually liked it more than The Shining.
Your review is very crisp, short and apt for the title, suggest you to read Pet Semetary, Green Mile.
Great video! Thank you for posting. I just got a copy of Hearts in Atlantis today. I'm currently halfway through The Stand right now.
I like how well-spoken you talked, because you only had 2 sentences. Really enjoyed the video.
Here‘s my ranking. Most of them are 5 star books to me.
1. The Green Mile (first one I read and watched, so it‘s for nostalgic reason and I‘m majorly biased)
2. Misery
3. The Dead Zone
4. Pet Sematary
5. IT
6. Salem‘s Lot
7. End Of Watch
8. The Stand
9. Carrie
10. Mr. Mercedes
11. On Writing
12. Cujo
13. Finders Keepers
14. The Institute
15. Elevation
16. The Outsider
17. The Long Walk
18. The Body
19. The Gunslinger
This looks pretty similar to my ranking. In fact my top 3 is the same, just in a different order: 1. Misery 2. The Dead Zone 3. The Green Mile
Totally agree on Duma Key which doesnt seem to get a lot of love. I would humbly suggest you read The Dead Zone one of my all time faves. Great video!
Thank you.
best ranking video i’ve seen !!! very entertaining as well!
I love to see some more unique takes. Hearts in Atlantis was immediately one of my favorites too! Definitely in my top 5.
I’ve only read about 15 but I agreed with your explanations on what I’m familiar with and I’m so excited to see you ranked “The Drawing of Three” so highly! I actually watched your recap of The Gunslinger to jog my memory and it was very helpful!
I made a recap of the drawing of the three also.
Needfulthings, stuck with me to this day and been decades. Love Stephen King. Watched you whole post and I will watch more. Thanks!
Really enjoy your Chanel and love your enthusiasm for books. I’m a huge Stephen King fan myself. I read all his books and a lot of them twice. Keep up the great work.
I've read all the Stephen King novels (except for the latest 2, I haven't had time to read these yet, but I have them). Just had to put my Top 10 list here as well:
1. 11/22/63 (I'm a Kennedy Assassination nut, so this content/story was amazing)
2. IT
3. Needful Things
4. The Shining
5. The Stand
5. Different Seasons (just for The Body and Rita Hayworth & The Shawshank Redemption)
6. Misery
7. Duma Key
8. The Long Walk
9. Under the Dome
10. Full Dark, No Stars
I have to amend my "read all..." comment. I *tried* like hell to read Insomnia and can't do it. And I quit the Dark Tower series after Book 3. Lost interest in those... and also, I can't read the Peter Straub collaborations. I could pick up on who wrote which part and I didn't like it. So, I read MOST of them cover to cover, but some I could not do.
Every King book I've read
1. IT
2. Pet Semetary
3. Salems Lot
4. The Shining
5. Doctor Sleep
6. Carrie
7. Revival
8. Misery
9. Geralds Game
10. The Mist
11. Mr Mercedes
12. Finders Keepers
13. End of Watch
14. The Outsider
15. If It Bleeds
16. 11/22/63
17. Firestarter
18. Different Seasons
19. The Gunslinger
20. The Dead Zone
21. The Institution
22. Drawing of the Three
23. The Wastelands
24. Wizard and Glass
25. Liseys Story
26. Dolores Claiborne
27. Just after Sunset
28. Wolves of the Calla
29. Song of Susannah
30. The Dark Tower
31. Wind through the Keyhole
32. Tommyknockers
33. Bag of Bones
34. Under the Dome
35. Later
36. The Stand
37. Night Shift
38. The Long Walk
39. Cujo
40. Full Dark, No Stars
41. The Green Mile (currently reading)
My first Stephen king book read is Hearts in ATLANTIS
Hearts in atlantis fans assemble.
Specially for Ted Brautigan
(he's mine)
(Anthony Hopkins is my te-ka)
Low men in yellow coats !
The Regulators is one of my best all-time favs.
Was a bit surprised to not see "the stand" on your list
Thank you for keeping this short and simple! I’m obsessed with his books
He's good !! I'm reading the stand now.
@@theloveofreading3563 I’m thinking of buying that book right now actually on Etsy. Do you recommend it so far??
I'll take heat over it but I would recommend the original abridged addition.
@@theloveofreading3563 ohh ok thx :)
That’s one hell of a list
Reading Hearts in Atlantis now. Just finished low men in yellow coats.
Thank you so much for making this video! I've got a lot of catching up to do!
Awesome Video !!! I have read like 10 Stephen King based on your recommendations. Completely agree on Duma Key, Hearts in Atlantis and Misery in the top 10, absolutely loved those. Can't wait to start Dark Tower series!
U definitely change my views on what books to read with Stephen king!!! Thanks..I trust your opinion
Wow you have Read So much and A very nice collection keep it up Bro. Currently I am Reading Lisey's story and After that 11/22/63.
Hearts in Atlantis is my favourite SK book as well my fav book period! The first two stories are the greatest.
Love your channel.❤ Awesome reviews appreciate the time n depth of information,it's very helpful. 😊 Long time King Fan n a hopeful to catch up with all his publications lol which it self seems a long walk for me. 😃
Ranking Stephen king #13 bazzar of bad dreams #12 the body #11 nightmare and dreamscapes #10 the green mile #9 the tommyknockers #8 misery #7 the talesmen #6 cujo #5 the stand #4 carrie #3 under the dome #2 needfull things #1 IT.
That t-shirt is awesome!
I recently became a Stephen king fan in 2017 after I saw IT Chapter One. I own 8 King books and 1 audiobook on the Audible app. The books I own are; IT, Cujo, Carrie, The Shinning, Misery, Pet Sematary, FireStarter and 11/22/63. The audiobook I own is The Stand. I only read Pet Sematary so far. I am currently reading FireStarter. The only king movies I have seen are IT, IT Chater 1 and 2, Cujo, Carrie, and Pet Sematary 2019. I’m on season 2 of Mr. Mercedes. If I have seen other king movies I don’t remember them.
I read insomnia in early high school possibly even middle school and I absolutely loved it. The three bald people were intriguing, I loved the characters despite not relating to them, and certain chunks of the setting like the lost items and the park were great! The political subplot wasn't great though, minus the bits about abortion.
Wow we agree so much on some things Hearts in Atlantis, and disagree wildly on others! Black house is top 5 for me lol. Keep up the great work on the channel
Good list of Stephen King books.
I read nearly all the books, except the Dark Towers seris and Black house.
Great vid!
I’m definitely a Stephen King girl!!!I’ve read a few of his books 📚. He’s a terrific and awesome writer!! I’ve been going through a reading slump 😢😢 recently and I’m slowly getting out of it. I’ll be reading more in 2021 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽. I’ve got so many Stephen King books I can’t wait to read❤️❤️❤️
Give Night Shift a try!
Are you nuts?!… Wizard and Glass is sublime… did we read the same book?… holy cow man!
Under the Dome is my number 3 as well.
Nightmares & Dreamscapes would be in my Top 5.
I also read 11.22.63 in 3 days it's one you can't help but finish once you start reading
Loved the video !!! I’m starting the devil all the time and then a binge read of Harry Potter for Christmas time but before that I’d love to try and get my hands on if it bleeds or duma key
Dark Half almost made me never read King again. Didnt like it much at all. Then down the road I read IT and went from there 😁
Amazing video and great job. Good luck on reading the rest of his books.
I have read 6 Stephen King novels so far and I would rank them this way:
6. Needful Things
5. The Eyes of the Dragon
4. Thinner
3. 11/22/63
2. 'Salem's Lot
1. Pet Sematary.
But I enjoyed them all though.
Would recommend Pet Sematary to you.
Also, can you do another ranking video on other authors ?(Dean Koontz maybe)
Pet Sematary is so damn good!🤙
Awesome Video! Love Wireman as well
Cool original covers
Hopefully one day I'll be just as well read regarding Stephen King. I'm currently reading through his novel 'The Dark Half'. Interesting so far but none of the horror is actually taking place yet.
It hurts my soul that Wizard and Glass was so far back on your list :( Good job on the video though! I'd have a heck of a time organizing a list of his books by faves (I've read them all but the non-fictions). Our #2 is the same! The Stand is still my #1. There is not a King book I haven't read at least 3 times since I started on him in 1981. Firestarter was my first. I'd be interested to hear how you like The Stand, and what would be my least favorite, The Tommyknockers.
My list of DT faves is much easier from best to least: 2, 4, 1, 7, 6, 5, 4.5, 3.
Wow you’ve read so many!! I just am starting reading King’s books. I’m making a series on my channel reading classic Stephen King horror. I filmed a review of Salem’s Lot and I’m going to read The Shining next this month and I’m excited.
@@theloveofreading3563 the movie is really good although Stephen King didn’t like the adaptation.
I enjoyed watching your opinions and how you rate the books. Especially since I have very different opinions for some and very similar with others. I just bought hearts in Atlantis and that will be my next king book I read based on this video lol I wonder if this is one where I’ll feel the same or completely different.🧐
@@theloveofreading3563 ooh ok. Thanks for the heads up!
totally agree
I recommend watching this video with speed at X1.75 +
The long walk, rage is my favorite
I just finished the audiobook of Rage yesterday. It was amazing. I can't believe it's no longer in print.
Got hearts in Atlantis on my tbr. Look forward to reading it after that recommendation.
😊 awesome video!
Well on your way in your journey buddy.
Oh no! I actually enjoyed the regulators a lot for some reason
Huge fan of James Patterson as I love detective stories but I just can’t stand the fact that I’m reading someone else’s work with just the signature of JP. With that said I’ll be giving SK a try I already read Pet Sematery. Thanks for the video always good stuff.
Just finished Duma Key and it was Red!
Loved it!
Wizard and Glass is my favourite novel of all time.
Hey amazing video!!! Being a King fan plase read "Thinner" if you haven't. It is a quick read with a really interesting premise. Try it!
@@theloveofreading3563 nice! I'm excited to know your thoughts.
PS. I just got Duma Key on your recommendation!
Nice Video!!But Why do you don’t have the Long Walk on the list??
My friend suggested me to do a ranking of Nicholas Sparks and I did it a couple of years ago.
I am excited to read Carrie. 📖😍
The Long Walk is the first novel that I read. I 💗 it.
I also read Ur. From what I remember it talks about a person who does not want to adjust with technology. 📱
Thanks for the video. I've read 12 so far, and am wondering if you are going to read Cell? I am trying to decide whether Firestarter or Cell is better since I have an order that I am creating, and am torn. I appreciate any comments on this.
@@theloveofreading3563 Did you read the book? That's what I am curious about.
Considering some of his books I could never get into like Salem's lot, pet sematary or the stand, and since I never even wanted to try and read It because I loved the 1990 miniseries so much I figure there's no way in heck it could ever compare, I of course have some gaps in my list, but here it is anyway of the Stephen King novels I have read:
The Dark Tower
Wolves of the Calla
Wizard and Glass
Song of Susannah
The wind through the keyhole
The waste lands
The gunslinger
The drawing of the Three
The Dark Man poem
Charlie the choo-choo
The institute
Hearts in atlantis
Insomnia
Creepshow
Cycle of the werewolf
Cujo
Everything's eventual
Carrie
If it bleeds
Needful things
Four past midnight
Later
Elevation
The dead zone
Firestarter
From a Buick 8
Ghost brothers of darkland county
The running man
Thinner
Different seasons
Misery
Gerald's game
Dolores claiborne
The eyes of the dragon
Skeleton Crew
The Dark Half
The girl who loved Tom Gordon
Liseys story
Revival
Duma key
Night shift
Rage
Roadwork
The Long Walk
Blaze
Forgot to say that from liseys story onward it gets pretty crappy with those horrible bachman novels being some of the worst stories I've ever read in my life.
Forgot to say I read rose madder and really liked it too.
Also gwendys button box and gwendys magic feather both kinda sucked.
The only bummer thing about Stephen King is that I don't physically own most of his books, with most of them being read courtesy of my local libraries.
And by the way I've been reading his stuff for close to thirty years.
How the hell is IT not in the top 5 ? Where is Stand snd Green Mile.
The Song of Susannah was the weakest of the tower series in my opinion, but I agree that the 2nd instalment is the best.
I am also a constant reader.
Thanks for the vid! But oh man, you're missing out on The Stand, Different Seasons and The Dead Zone......
The stand and different seasons I am reading this year.
I just loathed Under the dome, but anyways, put in S.K.'s words; different strokes for different folks.
Try The Tommyknockers...I think you will be surprised...and ignore the negative comments about this one...his writing voice is like none other. 😉
11/22/63 is my favorite SK book
I was surprised to see doctor sleep so low I thought it was great also what about the stand?
How did you get through 46 King books without reading The Stand?
I will be reading it this year.
Lot of Dean Koontz on that shelf. Still not sure what I think about him, don't think i'm going to like it.
I want to read Stephen king, I don’t know where to start. I’m a 16yr old girl that just got back into reading during the pandemic, I’m into psychological thrillers. Does anyone know where to start, because Kings books seems so intimidating
Misery. If you've already seen the movie try Duma key.
Start with Carrie. It's an excellent book and King's first novel.
Great video.
The Stand???
I waited until the very end for The Stand and it never came.
I don’t get the love for Hearts in Atlantis. To each his own. Low Men was my favorite out of the stories. I guess the 60’s setting just doesn’t do it for me.
Am new I haven't read any book so which book is best for me except IT ????
Start with a short story collection like The Bazaar of Bad Dreams
Probably a good idea to start with his first book, Carrie. It's fairly short and you'll get a good idea of what his writing is like.
Personally: novels - Salem's Lot, Bag of Bones are good starting points. Story collections: Night Shift
Amazing!!!
The Stand ?
What? Dreamcatcher was higher than doctor sleep? That's crazy man I'm sorry but I liked that even more than the shining
I had a hard time understanding Duma Key, and all the Dark Tower Books, and Insomnia. I hated Regulators. I couldn't get into dream catcher either.
