Wow the fact that he admitted to himself he needed to take time off from pastoring to learn how to hear God’s voice is wonderful! You don’t hear of pastors doing that nowadays; they just going about pastoring without ever hearing God’s voice. I greatly admire this man’s humility and diligence to serve God’s people better and to serve God better through recognizing his flaw and need to hear Jesus
Do you want to hear God’s voice? Open your Bible and read it out loud. Apply the scriptures over your life, walk in the narrow path and wait for Jesus returns. This kind of teaching is not biblical, it is gnostic teaching mixing with Christianity.

I remember a time when I was first learning to hear God's voice when during ministry time at a meeting at Singing Waters Ministries, we, young leaders, had an opportunity to pray for people. I used all for keys when I was praying for a man who had stomach pain and I spoke what I heard the Lord say; " be released from this pain," then the man fell on the floor and got up healed! Hallelujah!!

Vision -- Fix my eyes on Jesus, see Him present with me, because He is (Emmanuel God with us) 3. Over 30 years ago a small home Group that I attended got a hold of Mark Verkler‘s “Communion with God” tape series. We were between churches as ours had closed and used it in a home group setting as our teaching. I’m certain that I still carry with me What I learned from then.
I been journaling for years. Recently at a Shabbat service, I got caught by surprise (as we were asked to start praying, some standing praying for each other, some kneeling by themselves, etc. This never happened to me before, this quickly. On knees began quietly praying in tongues and Yah had me pause multiple times quickly to write down a message meant for all of us! I was in wow mode! Obeyed Yah, and alerted the pastor (teacher), that it is biblical and urgent. Gave Word to all while feelin Yah's presence. Learning to get calm in the midst of it and presenting message as Yah would have me present it. Words come so fast (and a prior job experience involved my writing information very fast) I realized prepared for writing quickly words given by prophets (assisted them) even so, it's like we gotta ask God to slow down some! HalleluYah!

I would add knowledge of the Word-memorizing because for me His voice sounds like the Bible. It is after all His words and helps me confirm what I hear Him saying. This keeps me from an imagination gone wrong.❤
When I started hearing God’s voice , I was a bit confused and it was then that the Lord guided me to CWG . There I discovered so much no one in my environment was teaching. Great man of God. I heard God it was a male voice it was verbal the voice was deep authorative and stern! I was thinking about and fearing getting varicose ulcers, I have feared this for 40 plus years and I spoke out loud to myself (I just don't want to have varicose ulcers) I wasn't asking God for help I was only talking to myself ! I don't know why I spoke outloud and I would never have expected anyone to reply to me but yet when The Lord did reply I didn't question it! because it felt so natural to me just as it would had one of my close family spoken to me, God's reply to my fear of getting varicose ulcers was very direct , he said ( WELL DON'T HAVE THEM THEN) and my question straight back to him was automatic (How?) and there was no reply and still I didn't think ( who spoke to me im in a room in my home, I live alone!) I don't drink or take drugs and I have a sound mind! I was in my early 6o's and I have never heard God since then, so how do I know it was God? I just naturally knew! I was not religious I wasn't brought up in any religion, I have always been a 22:27 believer but never went to church except for weddings and funerals! It was as normal to me to hear God's voice as it would have been had one of my close family spoken to me and I didn't even question it! We just know what more can I say, I we are all God's children, AMEN.
Gods word says that by His the stripes of Jesus, we are and we're healed. Isaiah 53:5 & 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus already healed us at the cross and paid the price for our total divine healing and health in this world 2000 years ago at the cross. God is saying "well don't have them then" bevause it is our choice to either believe the fear/the lies of the enemy and the symptoms and the doctors reports... or we choose to believe what God's Word says about us that we are healed now. Paul tells us to cast down all false imaginations and anything that exalts itself above the Word of God. Let God be true and every man be a liar. I believe God didn't answer you when you asked "How?" because this truth and answer/remedy for your problem is in His Word in multiple areas. Praise God for His Word and His report about us!
This is call the greatest communication with one on one. Yeshua desires to have communion with his people, especially with leadership. Remember He is Holy.
@@GospelProgress Let me try. In my experience, when you have a personal relationship with God, and commune with Him in devotion daily; you start to get thoughts/ideas concerning different issues. These are usually issues concerning you, where you live, the people you know. Now, how spontaneity works is that you know how you think, and you know your thoughts. But, these ideas/thoughts that drop in your spirit usually as you pray in the Holy Spirit (although not limited to when you're praying only) are totally different from your thoughts and most times are contrary to your circumstances. In my experience, that's how I know it's not my thoughts speaking, neither is it my circumstances, but God. And when I take on these ideas, or supernatural counsel, I come out on top. All in all, I watch my mind as I pray and when my thoughts drift away, I catch that. And that's how I've got revelation, and insight from the throne of God. I hope this helps. Be blessed.
Praise God. Hearing God is supposed to be natural for every believer. My sheep hear my voice John 10:27. Obedience to the word of God makes u graduate to hearing God's voice. God doesn't waste his time speaking to those that won't obey what they see in the Bible. Pst comfort
Wow. We were taught to keep prayer journals in YWAM. But I never followed thru with those. It was something to write down in after prayer to put what God had said. I have had God say and do many wonderful things and remember all my powerful encounters. But I don't remember the dates. But this works. It caused me to remember the times when God had told me to puck up a pen and paper and when I did it just flowed. It did today as well when I followed these steps. So much that my hand and fingers began to hurt. I could not write fast enough.

Why do you interrupt, so when he was STARTING to explain the process, he didn't even get beyond the first point out of four before the interruptions began? It would be nice to have the whole idea layed out, before the interruptions begin.
I'm not saying his way doesn't work but I have been hearing God for the last 20 years 24/7. And I only do the first of the four. God speaks to us in a small, still voice on purpose. That way we have to get ourselves quiet, still, at peace on the inside if we want to hear Him. Then we confirm it is Him through the Holy Bible. If it goes along with the Bible it's Him, but if it goes even the slightest bit away from God's Word, it isn't from God.
Well here’s the thing when you come to God in prayer you must believe he’s there with you and listening to you because without faith your prayer is like a wave at sea. Just because he has steps doesn’t mean it’s wrong you can go to the Lord yourself and ask him what he thinks about this man’s steps and get the answer.
Open up your bible. Read scripture in the bible that describes a scene like Jesus talking with the masses. Imagine yourself there like as a child. When spontaneous thoughts hit your mind,write them in your journal. Those spontaneous thoughts are most likely from God. Tell 2 or 3 trusted people about what you wrote down,ask them if they think it is from God. That's what the man said to do. Worth a try.

I attended a ministry for many years that taught us how to journal this way. It was called "writing the thoughts of God."
I believe the church wouldn't be where it was if they followed what this man did! Blessings

@@GospelProgress Let me try. In my experience, when you have a personal relationship with God, and commune with Him in devotion daily; you start to get thoughts/ideas concerning different issues.
These are usually issues concerning you, where you live, the people you know. Now, how spontaneity works is that you know how you think, and you know your thoughts. But, these ideas/thoughts that drop in your spirit usually as you pray in the Holy Spirit (although not limited to when you're praying only) are totally different from your thoughts and most times are contrary to your circumstances.
In my experience, that's how I know it's not my thoughts speaking, neither is it my circumstances, but God.
And when I take on these ideas, or supernatural counsel, I come out on top. All in all, I watch my mind as I pray and when my thoughts drift away, I catch that. And that's how I've got revelation, and insight from the throne of God.

Praise God. Hearing God is supposed to be natural for every believer. My sheep hear my voice John 10:27. Obedience to the word of God makes u graduate to hearing God's voice. God doesn't waste his time speaking to those that won't obey what they see in the Bible. Pst comfort

I hate journaling because I don't want anyone finding my journals and reading my personal stuff.

Wow. We were taught to keep prayer journals in YWAM. But I never followed thru with those. It was something to write down in after prayer to put what God had said. I have had God say and do many wonderful things and remember all my powerful encounters. But I don't remember the dates. But this works. It caused me to remember the times when God had told me to puck up a pen and paper and when I did it just flowed. It did today as well when I followed these steps. So much that my hand and fingers began to hurt. I could not write fast enough.

God os talking to us all the time, we just dist want to do wat hes telling us.
I'm not saying his way doesn't work but I have been hearing God for the last 20 years 24/7. And I only do the first of the four. God speaks to us in a small, still voice on purpose. That way we have to get ourselves quiet, still, at peace on the inside if we want to hear Him. Then we confirm it is Him through the Holy Bible. If it goes along with the Bible it's Him, but if it goes even the slightest bit away from God's Word, it isn't from God.

Wow that’s amazing there’s four steps to hear God. I’m so glad it’s not seven steps because that would be three steps too many.
Well here’s the thing when you come to God in prayer you must believe he’s there with you and listening to you because without faith your prayer is like a wave at sea. Just because he has steps doesn’t mean it’s wrong you can go to the Lord yourself and ask him what he thinks about this man’s steps and get the answer.

Open up your bible. Read scripture in the bible that describes a scene like Jesus talking with the masses. Imagine yourself there like as a child. When spontaneous thoughts hit your mind,write them in your journal. Those spontaneous thoughts are most likely from God. Tell 2 or 3 trusted people about what you wrote down,ask them if they think it is from God. That's what the man said to do. Worth a try.
