He has always been able to sing up there. David is one of the most underrated/ unique vocalist I have heard.

Trying to catch up with all that Justin's got going on - wow!! I'm a few months late with this series but so far this is great - looking forward to watching #3 and beyond.
Did I hear some G#5? Higher? Wow! Good stuff. 😀

Yes!!! All good stuff y’all!! 🎵 Great questions & beautifully presented too!
Hearing these incredibly talented and professional guys be so transparent and honest is a HUGE a blessing. Most on their “level” won’t share this way. I’ve not heard it anyway. It’s always baffled me but a few years ago, when I was struggling greatly, I didn’t want to share my vocal “issues” with anyone - but I had also made the mistake of getting my worth from singing so when I couldn’t, it was a brutal process of self discovery.
Today, I share away - and I’m also very much on the road to vocal recovery. I’m in a group singing class year round that encourages honest, open, humble, real conversations about singing, fears, etc and of course, we all grow increasingly closer each semester - as well as better (stronger, healthier) vocalists. Our leader is a NATS doctor of music but is also the kindest, selfless, wise, talented, and most encouraging human being. It is one “magical” class. We are incredibly blessed!
Y’all’s videos at NYVC have been a big part of that journey for me personally too. God bless y’all! ♥️

This is such a great interview. People don’t realize the work that goes behind great singing. Take 6 doesn’t just have amazing singing harmonies but you can feel the harmony in their relationship with each other and most of the all the JOY oozing out of each one! Thank you Justin.

I love your videos, and I have been following them since I started watching the video about mixed voices I hope I am not bothering you with my question but I have been going at an online vocal class because I have always wanted to learn to sing specifically Broadway and in a couples of weeks we would be doing a recital with a song of choice, but the problem is I don't know what song to sing so, my question what musical songs would be great for recitals, thank you :)

This video series made me think of The Clark Sisters! If possible maybe you could speak with them as well. Both them and Take 6 are legendary.

Really cool to listen to these guys being so honest about the need to warm up or how to deal with nerves! Sometimes it seems like professional singers can just open up their mouths and sing perfectly anytime

Yes! Professionals are imperfect just like the rest of us. It really is refreshing to hear from them! -NYVC
