- Taking perhaps the most misunderstood of the sports cars out for a relaxed drive at sunset. The "poor man's Porsche" is a great entry point into high end sports car ownership and maybe even one of the best all around daily-able sports cars.

I pick up my 2014 2.7 boxster Sunday up in Ohio. Then the drive back to fort myers! I cant wait! The LONG way back, maybe thru texas!? 😂😂 no pdk for me, 6mt. In April we flew to Virginia picked up a jaguar f-type 380 r dynamic awd convertible for my wife. That's an auto...that thing FLYS!! can't imagine 575hp in that little car. Idk, im not much into the paddle shifters....on track i get it...racing...totally understand, but...just every day, i like the engaging aspect of a clutch and shifting gears. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 great scenery! Keep em coming!
@@jdev232 Enjoy the beautiful car and the long drive home! I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so I went with the PDK so I don't do anything too stupid. Even with the PDK I've done some dumb moves that had me questioning how I got a license🤣
Maybe once I learn how to drive like I have some sense I'll upgrade to a stick, hopefully by then I'll have enough money for a GTS or Spyder

Is it just me or are the first 4 gears very tall. It seems that the car will only shift up at 2000rpm? From 1st gear that's around 14-16mph before the gearbox shifts to 2nd
The gears are very tall on these, it's a very common complaint. The shifting might just be my driving skills though, I have no idea what I am doing lol.
you really need better audio recording gear - nice video, unfortunately it really looses that sexy flat-6 growl that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up, and that (to me at least) is like one of THE best parts of the 2015 Boxster! , I mean the PDK makes it feel way more responsive as it has no clutch to engage.. Despite the challenge of trying to see anything out of the rear, probably one of my top-5 cars of all time - IMO if you have the money and can only afford 1 thing - the 2015 Boxster or a wife and kids - for the love of god take this! - both feature a fun ride - but only can go over 150mph.. and when your fun is over and she's parked for the night... she stays quiet ;D
Such a fun car with a very usable amount of power that can be enjoyed on the road! Better audio gear to come soon!
what's making the exhaust noises .cracking & super noises, idk & sports exhaust or just exhaust thanks
With the 981 generation the cars make cracking sounds in Sport mode as stock from the factory. I do have an aftermarket Fabspeed exhaust which probably helps with them as well
Is there a mic mounted near the exhaust? Doesn’t sound like cabin noise 🤔
Yeah I threaded a bolt through an old license plate frame and screwed the mic on there. I've since gotten a new mic so the audio quality is a little better now when I record

It's the Fabspeed Maxflo exhaust. It sounds great but it's a little too quiet for my liking (great if you don't want to piss your neighbors off though)
