    I’ve been camping at mohican wilderness since I was in elementary school. So we’re talking through the 70s. It just so happens The owner, Ken and I share the last name. We became very close with the family. I remember one October their eldest son dropped us off at our house that was a Bandan in the hills. The hayride with suddenly stall in front of the house and we had chains in spooky noises. Some of my best memories are from the campground.

    MW is our favorite private campground. My wife has been camping there since 1967. With a booster you can get ATT from about where you were at. Better about 5 sites down river. Also you can get ATT if you stand right by the entrance door to the weaver shop. I would like to say thank you for your videos but you keep promoting our favorite places 😀.

    Nice drone footage! I've heard a lot people push the Zero G water hoses. We have one. I tried to use it to fill our fresh tank. Right where the connection is, it kinks to a point it stops flowing. The weight of the hose closes it off at the tank fill opening. We stopped using it and went back to the traditional blue one. The Zero G is now our extension hose if we ever need one.

      That hose 🙄- I would be hesitant to have it as an extension after what happened to ours. We have to stick with the old fashioned tried and true hose even though it takes up more space.

    I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Mohican Wilderness. I used to work there as maintenance and a canoe driver. It was definitely one of my favorite places to be and I’m glad to see they are still providing such a great place for families to relax

    Great place for camping. Huge sites,plenty to do for everybody. They also have Arhery and a volleyball court. Our kids always get a group for Vollyball games. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. My wife and I have walked just about every inch of the campground. There is an old cemetary near the campground as an old school that was converted to a barn. While removing the siding to tear down the barn, they discovered the school and decided to restore it. You can look inside and it looks like a school from the past. We enjoy every trip to Mohican Wilderness

      That is awesome about the school. We will have to check it out when we go back. The staff is super friendly and it just very nice all around.

    One of our favorite campgrounds and will be down there first weekend in Aug. Love the large sites but you definitely need extension depending on how you wish to utilize the site. We like the sites up in the 600's. Just seem a little nicer. Great video!!!

    I've been going to Mohican Wilderness since the Early 90's. My fav campsites are in the North Bend. One Helluva view upstream from there. Try the 600's , Riverside next time. It's fun to watch the tubers and Canoe

    Great video! I think it’s cool that you can park any direction in your site. That river had to be moving, I just saw that most of the lakes in that area have come down, but are still above level by several feet. Still looks like fun.

    • @SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs
      @SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs  5 років тому +1

      It’s a great place so much room and you can park anyway you want. The river was moving very fast. Our rafting trip went was to fast. We should of paddled backwards. Thanks for watching.
