I have over 30k miles on mine, many of which are touring. I also have the roller barrel intakes. I really can’t imagine life without the 7. Every time I drive it it puts a smile on my face!
Sweet looking ride, I was hoping you’d have some back road footage that demonstrates what 7s are about, at least for me, tearing the twisties, light makes right.
Thanks! Have you seen all 3 videos? I just wish the deer around here would stick to crossing the roads at the designated crosswalks ... lol ... then I might feel a bit more confident giving it some more "wellie" (UK) around the bends.
I've got a 7 and have always hated the 620 nosecone, so although this may improve breathing I think your car would look a lot better and more balanced without it. I'm sure a better designed nosecone could do the same thing yet be more in keeping with the minimalist 7 design.
When I have the brass, I'll start with a 620. But I'll undoubtedly end up reverting to teenage years, how big can I get on the same mounts with the same badge without plod being able to tell the difference? I was mk 111 Cortina, wee brother was escorts, his last was nicknamed The RS 1100, it routinely eat 911's. There was always atleast one engine being built in Dads garage. An apprentice I was at college with, an absolute F'ing lunatic, put a Capri 2•8 into a mk 3 and just Nitrosed it! It eat crankshafts! Me, old man now, driving a wee Corsa?!😉🤫 Never drive dual carriageway if there's an option. 👍❤️🏴!
225bhp was the target, but I was in too much of a rush to get the car home to WI from CO, we never got around to putting it on the dyno to find out. But, I also wanted to run the car in for the first 500 miles ... so trying (trying real hard) to keep rpm below 5000. Josh's other design objective was to smooth out the power curve ... hence the Titan roller barrel throttle body. I think he has easily achieved both objectives ... the power comes in smooth, fast and relentless. I'll let you know when I finally get it run in and on the dyno.
Thanks for the comment, we all have our favorites. I didn't design the car, but I trust the expertise of those that did. I do know that engine temperature management on this car is excellent - and I think the nose looks awesome 😳
@@cinnabarproductions8542 yes, i Love the look too.. But aerodynamicaly the csr260 nose has also an outlet (which the Standard ones dont have) but not the intercooler inlet of the 620... For an NA Caterham its the most efficient nose, in therms of cooling and cw. Regards
Thanks for the response and info. The great thing about the Caterham is ..... the fans. There are the cars themselves, of course, and the unique ways in which they can be customized.
Bittersweet seeing this! I hope you are making amazing memories with it! It deserves a caring owner! So happy to see it with content!
Thank you

That's very reassuring Mike ....thanks. I hope I get as many smiles out of mine. Happy roads ...
Great. I bought a CSR 260 in 2013 so I know that feeling when you decide to join the lunatic fringe of street legal vehicles - nothing beats it!

Well, I guess folks either like it or hate it. It does seem to cause (a little) controversy ... as does the 620 in general.
Very nice car btw

👍❤️🏴!
Nice car history there Leslie. My first car was a '59 850cc mini ... probably had more fun with that car than any other I've ever owned.
Saw one yesterday, made an video of the sound 😄👍
They do sound good ...

Ahaa, you got it! Still, it is from Denver, Colorado. Thanks.
You made me guess for a couple of minutes, yes :) congratulations, I hope you enjoy Seven as much as I do! How's the Sadev for real life driving?
The Sadev certainly adds to the performance and when driving hard it makes for some quick gear changes ...but around town it's a noisy, clunky beast!
What’s the spec?
225hp?

this nose is idiotic, the car has no intercoller but a 620 Nose... You need a 260 Nose... friends of oversee...
