Ostapenko is gaining fast on Putinseva and Paire for the most appearances in these videos.
Ostapenko - kasatkina is the match u CANT miss. its ALWAYS insane drama in action
@Einars Dubrovskis She has no right to call lines person "stupid snicth". First, thats very rude, Second, thats a code violation. Rules are there to be followed and umpires to enforce. Is this your first time watching tennis or what?!?!?
As incredible as it may seem, Ostapenko is wrong. If the line judge hears an audible obscenity, and the umpire doesn't hear it, then it is his or her duty to report it to the umpire.
Its insane cuz she acts so entitled and has no respect to others other then when it affects her lol
its not her duty, she can chose to do it or not to do it; she chose to do it just because she is a dirty little snitch
People always see Putinseva as the most annoying female tennis player, but for me Ostapenko definitely takes the cake.
Honestly, this needs to be said.. This channel is pure quality. I can't even compute the sheer volume of work it must take, to compile so many videos, so consistently.
Yes it's pure class. Especially the almost inaudible translations because it is difficult to sometimes hear what they are saying. Incredible job.
Ostspenko is the most ill-behaved, entitled player in the women’s circuit. She is mean, aggressive and rude. She should be benched still she starts behaving.
Medvedev like: you forgot the new balls?!?! This is gonna be on Tennis Advocate bro!
I do not think gold badge very XP-ed Louise is so bad. just human factor. Daniil's game is full of fails and unforced errors too.
You can tell Cilic is a composed, polite guy, even being angry. I may say that his faith and the situation which he was born into have done a lot to that.
Meh. Seems like a bit of a pattern. Complained about Roger taking too long when he was fine.
@@amorris525 Cilic is always polite but sometimes can angrily react and instantly apologize, I know him personally because im from Croatia and he is always like that, he is a world class player but lacks mental motivation because when he starts losing he can't turn the game around

Ostapenko - that one Grand Slam title brings a grand sense of entitlement.
Entitlement or she earned it after years of hard work unlike you babies??
@@fgio119gio7 yes, entitlement. Just because you worked hard for doesn't mean you ain't entitled.
I don’t agree with Ostapenko much but I’m just glad she’s not embarrassed by her looks
Cilic really is the Keanu Reeves of tennis
Damn I hate Ostapenko. She’s such a rude person on the tour, easy to see why other WTA players hate her.
@Einars Dubrovskis not everyone hates her obviously, but some do. So try again

The amount of times Ostapenko has appeared in this series of videos is hilarious
Ostapenko seems like one of the most unpleasant people on earth

He's old class. Tennis used to be a polite game. Compare how Cilic acted to how Medvedev or Shapovalov did.
This was the first time I haven’t seen Putinseva screaming while talking to the umpire!😂😂
It's hard to take Shapovalov seriously when he is saying "the call was 30 MINUTES before my shot" 😂😂😂

Medvedev chuckle on the first serve made me laugh so hard

shapovalov: tHe CaLl cAMe 30 MiNuTeS bEfOrE mY sHoT
He definitely was in the wrong in that exchange, but I think he was just devastated from being down 2-0 when he had held his own and even outplayed Djokovic for parts of the 1st 2 sets. He needed to vent.
Thank you, another great quality video, always thrilled when these pop up
This channel deserves 10x its current subscriber amount
Always enjoy a new video from you! I appreciated the little explanatory graphic about the coaching, very sharp little graphic!
Caruso had every right to complain, that should have been his point
Yep, the ball was hit before out was called. Reacting to and playing a return shot for a serve at 120mph requires almost instant reaction time and movement. Not a chance did it change the outcome. Stupid umpiring again.
Medvedev could sound rude to the umpire but that's for the best in my opinion. Tennis is one of these old sports where you still see weird things according to the rules, it really depends on the umpire, on which player involved, etc... Making the umpire question themselves and not having fear about looking like the bad guy will definitely improve the average umpiring level.
“And you were late for the balls!” is going to be the new verbal smack down.
I agree with badosa in the first scenario. Linette was ready so quickly that’s it’s unfair to penalise Badosa just because her opponent is quick to serve. There was still a full 15 seconds left when the line umpire gave the time violation.
Some umpires give some don't its the matter of the umpire, I have seen couple of same situations and sometimes they get code sometimes they get just a warning and sometimes they just forget it...
But then you could just use this as a tactic to slow down your opponent's rhythm on serve. Getting a towel is hardly essential. She can buy sweatbands. If the server is also going for the towel, then fine. If there is a window of opportunity for players to disadvantage their opponents they will take it. So, the amount of opportunities to do this should be prevented. I realise that serving quickly could also be used as such a tactic too, but there is way too much of this towelling-down and drink-sipping on change-overs and between points, and the server should dictate the pace of the game, not the receiver, as servers have their own rhythm.
@@Mr.Edd3905 of course the returner must play at the server speed, but it has to be within reasonable time. Getting a towel is not delaying the game. Even though someone does it every time.
The problem is that "within reasonable time" is totally subjective, and some umpires would call the warning and others won't.
@@MisterReZ the thing is, it’s not about delaying the game, that would be different. it’s about adhering to the server’s speed. and you have to be ready when the server wants to serve even if it’s after 10 seconds. the 25 seconds is a maximum time within which you have to serve but not a time you can rely on as a return player
@@therealelalfredo8622 You need to be ready when the server wants to serve *within reasonable time*. Linette took a couple of seconds to get ready for the next serve, even the commentators remarked on how quick she was being between serves. It was not a reasonable time and it was ridiculous for the umpire to give Badosa a time violation for that.
Wow, a tennis drama video without Benoît Paire? That’s a first lol

Putintseva and Ostapenko have been consistent in these kind of videos for years.

the call: right when he hits the ball
Shapo is close to my least favorite men’s player. Everything he says is absurd

So hype to watch this
Everyone, I have painstakingly gone through every video still up on this channel related to drama (some taken down due to copyright of course). I have a list of most appearances. I didn't count some if they were not a direct part of the issue in a match, and some people that have 2 or 3 were very likely overlooked by accident. But here's what I have.
Paire 13
Putintseva 11
Ostapenko 9
Kyrigos, Fognini 6
Moutet, Sakkari, Djokovic, Cornet 5
Van Uytvank, Siniakova, Dzumhur 4
Collins, Tsitsipas, Shapovalov, Tig
Tomljanovic, Evans, Zverev, Medvedev, Wozniacki, Mladenovic, Zhang, Olivo 3
Way too many to count at 2 and 1.
@@TennisAdvocate Thanks! I wish your other videos weren't taken down though, these people would definitely have more
at 0:50 you can hear that on another court Ostapenko is challenging a call, and unsurprisingly she loses the point.
Isn’t that line judge who reported ostapenko an umpire. I just remember from that Tig match in Thailand
Yes, that's correct. As @Aldo Luciano said, her name is Mira Kaukeeva and she's from Kazakhstan. She appears as a chair umpire in a few videos on this channel.
I love the consistency of the Wimbledon commentators. When a call is made at the same time as the return and, after the review, the umpire says "replay the point" due to the interference, the commentators say "that was the right decision." When a call is made at the same time as the return and, after the review, the umpire gives the point to one player, the commentators say "that was the right decision." The only time that a Wimbledon commentator ever disagrees with an umpire is when said umpire doesn't give a code violation to Kyrgios.
Ostapenko es terrible, me muero 😂😂😂👏👏👏
Regarding the situation at 1:15 and early/late calls in general:
Why don't they do the same as the linesmen do in football, where they only raise the offside flag after the attack is over? In tennis, line judges should be told to wait and announce "out" only after the ball is hit, so then there's no obstruction or hindrance. Then, in case the call is overturned, it's clear whether to replay the point or not. I mean, waiting two seconds with the call won't harm anyone.
You know, that's actually a fantastic idea. I'm surprised this hasn't been suggested before. It makes sense.
Oh, wow! That really is a great idea. The hawk-eye challenge has been around for years (or a decade?). Why has nobody ever thought of that? I'd find it hard to believe that somebody has already thought of that but didn't get included in the rules.
one second could be enough .
I have that idea in mind for years and ... agree with you :)
It woudnt be a tennis drama video without Ostapenko.
Compare how Cilic complains to how Shapovalov or Medvedev do.
All type of politeness is gone. This was once a gentlemen's sport.
the umpire in the linette v badosa match was the same one who basically nulled rybakina's ace by claiming sabalenka hit the ball when both players said she didn't. the same umpire admitted to not remembering the point, and rybakina's ace was voided. just thought it was interesting
Even before I hit play or read the caption, I'm already expecting Jelena Ostapenko and Yulia Putintseva to be in this video....very prominently!!
Yeeessss waitmg for this
Ostapenko is so unlikable. and why does the ATP treat their players like royalty? She literally said to change the line lady because she doesnt want to see her face anymore and the umpire said she would do it. Like Ostapenko should have any say in who the line judges are
Hey, Quarantine Moutet is back.
No broken racket from putintseva in this video. I'm quite disappointed. 😂
Marin: "New balls, please" :D
7:27 That's why I love Cilic. So calm and chill.
Yulia Putintseva and Nick Kyrgios were very, very calm in this one in comparison to Jelena Ostapenko. I'm surprised to not see Benoit Paire, and also I'm surprised not to see Alize Cornet here.
The first umpire seems to be in a lot of these videos.
Rule enforcement is so inconsistent
Ostapenko tries hard to make people hate her. She's better at it than playing tennis.
I would’ve thought the chair umpire’s scoring device would also keep track when it’s time for new balls
Ostapenko has to be the most unsportsmanlike, obnoxius and obscene tennis player in the whole world of tennis. Her outbursts while on the court are sad to be witnessing.
That Caruso line is funny af 🤣
Players need to have their ears checked! Always hear "The call came before I hit it..." Just no. Esp the Shapavolov call.
On the first clip this is where the rule of playing to the speed of the server gets murky...because how many times have we seen the likes of Nadal take so much more time than the one in the first clip, Kyrgios even complained to the umpire and the umpire said "You must do it within reason"...but yet thus lady had like 5-7 seconds before getting the time violation
Love how games that are supposed to be gentlemanly always end up with rly bad conduct. Games like football, rugby, and hockey look like hooligan games, but ive seen the most sportsmanship there
Ostapenko, you made a name for yourself 😂 Congrats. How did you do that? natural talent? Or did you learn that somewhere?
The Shapo umpire should have been like: Are YOU joking?! You serve for the first set and you can't hit a 1st serve then you make 3 unforced errors! You will never be here (Wimbledon semis) again!
Tennis really has to decide whether you get 20 seconds, or you play at the server's pace. Badosa got a time violation less than 10 seconds after the score was called.
Queen Ostapenko doing Ostapenko things!
That umpire in the Badosa match is the same incompetent who robbed Rybakina of an ace. And she was wrong here too. Linette was too quick to start the next point, you need to give the opponent reasonable time to get ready to return. That umpire comes across as a complete amateur.
Kyrgios - Ostrapenko would be amazing in doubles.
Kinda crazy how unprofessional the top tennis players are
Putinseva is brilliant. My sort of crazy bird.
Compare to other players Caruso's frustration is really cool 😂

Shopovaloc: call came 30 minutes before my shot! Lol, check the replay and it was at same time or just after he failed to hit it back
Ostapenko, I swear. I never ever want to actively root against someone, but let's just say I'm not mad when she loses.
Lol dude she's a grand slam champion with a wicked game. She can be a brat for the rest of her life she'll still be 100 more successful than dustin brown, nick kyrgios etc. ever will. Rooting against a player is very low especially for someone like you.
