Hello from Russia;) I really like this game, and I admire your skills. I'm not as cool as you, but I know one trick that you probably don’t know, because I never saw you use it in speedruns. If you was counterattacked by a pod, you can just press the block button. This move cancels the pod counterattack and you instantly free. You can try it, always works. Hope that helps you a bit in speedruns. Sry for my english and good luck;)
Sorry for the very late response. I havn't known about that, but I already have a better solution for that: I can guarantee to overcounter the pods by mashing the attack button.
Yeah webs of the shadows was pretty wacky as a game. It has a good plot but like everything was wacky. It gives me good nostalgia in a bad way to see it like this.

It resets by moving the control stick, I just didn't want to let it stop.
