      Einstein claims a relative observation and interpretation! Reduces this claim practically to just one of the observations, phenomenons, effects: velocity („relative velocity“; and acceleration), and neglects that all other observations, phenomenons, effects, are relative to each other as well. This fails (or succeeds;-) by reducing the at least two (relative) observations by reducing the observers to only one! Without taking into account its already made mutual observations! A catastrophic methodological mistake!
      From here, from his beginning of the formation of "relativity-theses", from the first step, every following thesis and equation is unscientific and nonsensical!
      Again: A catastrophic methodological mistake! NO science! NO scientific "Relativity Theories"! NONsens!

      I was struck by the water vortex going down the plug hole of that bathtub. If gravity pulls nebulae in 3D to condense matter under its own mass, yet matter has an ecliptic plane spin axis (force in 2D) what process is this energy displacement translated, mutable by? I'm seeing planarity bifurcation here.

      If a star (or anything else) is in a stable orbit around a black hole it can remain that way indefinitely. It's no different from, say, the moon orbiting the Earth. The detectable gravitational waves discussed in the documentary arise when black holes or neutron stars are in declining orbits around each other and their angular velocity reaches ludicrous speeds as they approach directly prior to collision. Or, in other words, you have two very, VERY heavy objects moving very, VERY fast.

    • @paganphil100
      @paganphil100 2 місяці тому

      @allendunn1596: The sped of light only applies to something that has mass. Light is massless (photons) and so are gravity waves so they are not affected by the "speed limit".

    • @robertstanley5555
      @robertstanley5555 2 дні тому +1

      No. Light in a vacuum travels at what is effectively the 'maximum speed limit' for the observable universe. That is only possible for things with no mass, which include both light and gravitational waves.

Just enjoy. " No beginning, no end" to me it sounds like eternity, which I'm a great fan of. Rightly or wrongly.

    I have a question; if one fell into a black hole and somehow survived, would you ever actually reach the singularity? Doesn't the gravitational well become deeper as the black hole gains mass?

    • @ashleyobrien4937
      @ashleyobrien4937 Рік тому

      Yes. Black holes are not all that mysterious really. The mythical part of their existence stems from a quirk, or perhaps failure, of our mathematical description of them. You understand what a Neutron star is, right ? one teaspoon of matter from a Neutron star is many many of tons of mass, and naturally they have insane gravitational fields. All a black hole is, is a concentration of mass large enough that it bends space time to prevent anything from leaving it. It doesn't "crush" things out of existence, they simply get stripped down and added to the overall mass, thus they increase in volume slowly after absorbing millions of solar masses. Saying that their gravity is infinite is wrong, it is a failure of our math, a more appropriate description would be to say they are at "absolute maximum" gravitational force, and that all they can do is grow in size as they absorb more mass. But make no mistake, all that mass is still in there.
      We may one day come across Neutron stars or similar entities that are just below the transition phase whereby they stop being able to emit radiation directly from the mass itself, we may get to witness the actual transition from being able to radiate energy to mass being just high enough that they change into the non radiative black state, we could learn a lot from witnessing such a transition.

      You assume that something like a Singularity (Infinite Density) actually is "a thing" that could be "encountered" or "reached". Black Hole has a finite Mass, why would it be "gaining" mass? Theoretically the Singularity at its centre has infinite Density, but anything "infinite" in relation to real world objects is theoretical, worse, - hypothetical LOL. Or did you mean it's "gaining mass" as in gaining YOUR mass? Hypothetically, - all that you were, - the information about you would exist in a 2-Dimensional format (particularly if you happen to be Timmer, Susskind or Hooft) encoded on the "surface" of the Black Hole (which is Event Horizon). I'm not entirely sure if this "conversion" is survivable though. But perhaps there is a way it could be gathered again in order to re-create you in 3-D. For instance if you took the Semiclassical Gravity approach, there may yet be hope 😝 physics.mit.edu/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/PhysicsAtMIT_2023_Engelhardt_Feature.pdf#:~:text=The%20black%20hole%20information%20paradox%20is%20a%20conflict%20between%20two,are%20in%20principle%2C%20though%20not

      Hi Mike, The quick answer is not for a very long time. As you get nearer to the core or singularity so the gravity will get greater and as the gravity gets greater so the time will get slower due to time dilation. You may well still be on your journey to the core for Billions of years.

    • @alfredthegreat9543
      @alfredthegreat9543 Рік тому +3

      Interesting aside, because of time distortion, you would see the end of the universe.

    • @Lethmyr_
      @Lethmyr_ Рік тому +6

      Time dilation is always only relative to others. Time will always seem normal to you, since your perception"speed" also changes with the time dilation. It might take you 10 billion years to reach the event horizon, but to you it might only seem like seconds.
      About the singularity:
      It is not really a "place" you can visit. The singularity is basically the "future" of anything that passes the event horizon. So once you pass it, you no longer move through space, you move through time. That is also the reason why you cannot escape a black hole. You would need to move backwards through time, not space.
      That aside, except for very very large black holes, you would probably be dead before crossing the event horizon. The tidal forces are extreme. Gravity can change in order of magnitudes over a few centmeters. Also the temperature is an issue. Accretion disks reach temperatures of a few hundred million kelvin.

    I just had an epifany about why galaxies are "flat". It made no sense to me in a 3D world why most orbits and galaxies are mostly planar. The thought of it would point to a more spheric model, but at the speeds things are turning it makes sense that you end up with matter compressing towards the equator of a sphere. Mind blown.

    Gravity is not a force it is a description of moving space toward matter. Gravity is the manipulation of space as it accelerates towards matter. Acceleration and gravity are identical as far as force is concerned. It's obvious that space is accelerating toward mass at a continuous rate. The matter that exists within this stream of space is pulled in the streams direction. The consumption of space is what allows matter to exist.

    Now I realize that this movie was produced before the James Webb Space Telescope was launched. How much further have we progressed since then? There is already significant doubt surrounding the Big Bang theory and the estimated age of the universe.
    The idea of a black hole at the center of each galaxy doesn’t seem strange to me. Our solar system has the sun at its center, around which the planets revolve. Could black holes play a similar role, acting as gravitational anchors that keep galaxies structured and stable? Just a thought.

A catastrophic methodological mistake!

    it is an old Video, but my question is always if i see movies of Black Holes... Gravity pulls from every side? isnt it? why is this curve of spacetime just in one direction? dont Should this happen in every direction? But we have a Point in every Star/Planet/BH... I understand that Poles and Magnetic Fields forming this Discs of Matter, Build this rings of Matter, Fire and all is spinning around because of the Spin, the Object have. But Gravitywaves are running tru Cosmos like the waves on Water after a stone splash in to. Why they didnt spread out in EVERY Direction? And is this just a Lucky Hit or is it unavoidable that we "feel" this Gravitywaves (with LIGO) and why they didnt slow down? At least if they hit an Object? Btw, i am German, try to follow english conversation - but i am sure i didnt catch all. With love and sending Hugs tru the Universe....!

    That's got to be one of the most asinine attributions ever made. I reckon she was trolling.
    A prison may well have already had such a moniker (although I wouldn't be surprised if that's not corroborated), but that doesn't mean it inspired any future instances.
    That also just so happens to be the name I've been using for Tyrone's receptacle for so long he'd slap me for giving away our ages if I dared say. But my point is I didn't get that name from some Indian Prison, nor was it inspired by an infinitely dense physical anomaly. I created that name myself, before I ever heard of either, because of...... entirely different reasons is all you need to know!
