- A game that came out in 2019 and was abandoned by Ubisoft just 3 years after release. Yes, I'm talking about Ghost Recon Breakpoint. A game with unlimited potential that the publisher never wanted to perfect. It would seem that the failed project should finally die and stop being interesting to the gaming community, but...
In 2024 Breakpoint will have a NEW LIFE! And these are not empty words. Because thanks to modders who really love this game and realize how good it is, with their own efforts bring this game to a new level. Thanks to which you now have at your disposal hundreds of customization mods for every taste. However, at the end of 2023, something happened that even those who have endlessly criticized the game have been waiting for - the release of the first-person mod for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. And it really does open up the game in a different way, giving a new feel and experience to the game, which is especially impressive in Breakpoint's open world.

The big problem with Breakpoint is that you have to have internet service in order to play it because most of the game is on a server. One day, when they shut down those servers, and they will, your Breakpoint game will become useless and unplayable. With Wildlands, you can play it forever.
Absolutely true and it is nonsense what they did for this game.. why people are buying it then, It's like being disgraced with your own money. I just hope modders makes it possible for offline play or the ubisoft which highly doubt.

@digitalben420 You're wrong. A lot of people play their games for decades. Why would you buy a game that will eventually become unplayable because someone else is controlling when they decide to pull the plug on the game? So, in reality, you never actually own the game, you're only renting it.

I take your point overall, but in all reality this game will be a distant memory by the time they choose to shut down the servers. And when they do, they will update for an offline mode.

GR Breakpoint is one of those games that convinced me that visuals matter in games, because it adds so much to the experience.

Edit: If you find yourself needing even more immersion for Breakpoint, turn UI Volume to zero and it will remove the hit marker "thud" sound. I prefer it that way, but you may not. I like to hear the sounds of my guns, especially when going loud

Man I love Breakpoint and now that there's mods I'm definitely going to get it for my PC. Been playing on PS5 and never get bored. Love your videos because I play a lot like you do. Love trying out new ways of infiltrating even causing commotion, and distractions for fun.

You know, I myself refrained from mods for Breakpoint for a long time, but they do give a lot to the game. So, I recommend giving them a try🤝

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a game I still play to this day. It is honestly one of the coolest military shooter games I have ever come across. So damn cool!

Same. I wasn’t expecting too much but it was on sale so thought ‘Why not?’. Well, I really wasn’t expecting it but it turned out to be one of the greatest games I’ve ever played. Just an incredibly memorable gaming experience all around.
I legitimately laughed out loud when I started playing it. I couldn't believe someone could make something so cheesy and crappy and say "yea, we're gunna sell this for money."

My favorite has always been the DMR - M110. Love its effectiveness, the sound of firing and the way it is customizable. A versatile weapon that fits in any situation.

The dialogue is terrible. No argument from me. Not even the corny jokes you got from your squad like in Wildlands. I suppose that's because the squad was introduced as a panic measure because the game was actually dying.

Wildlands is awesome and one of the very few games of it's size I've ever completed %100. i just started breakpoint recently and I'm not noticing much of a difference except breakpoint is a little better quality all around. I don't really like the robots but it's probably just because they harder to kill. This game is an S tier game imo. Thanks for the video gg
A lot of people didn't like drones and robots! But the game is really better than Wildlands in many gameplay aspects.

Great Video and good gameplay! Loved Wildlands, was alaways a cross country coop game to play with friends across countries. Will Breakpoint work coop with mods? I have watched many breakpoint videos, but we just don't know whether to bite the bullet.

I played this game a lot, if you play this as a tactical realistic shooter it can have some great immersion however I feel it lacks in some area’s to be the best.

i 100% agree. loved the stealth aspect of the game, but it was missing a lot of key components that could’ve made it the absolute best no doubt. i wish the AI enemies & teammates had a lot more dialogue depending on different scenarios, i wish the AI enemies were way smarter to make the game way harder, & that the world was a lot more alive all together. because it’s a huge map with a lot of emptiness to it.
What would be good for this game is to get the enemy not be in the same damn spots or routes when we sneak up on an outpost or restart the game. Make them spawn in different areas or move different routes so u don't get bored with it. Like I'm playing it again and it's boring how they move.

This randomly came onto my recommended and it definitely made me re-install Breakpoint to try the First Person mod out. It absolutely does look cool to have a completely different/new perspective, but I also realized I've been away from the game for too long to properly remember all the game mechanics lol I think I'll have to do a completely new play-through to get reacquainted and enjoy the First Person view 😅
I think it will only take you a couple hours to get used to the game again. But First Pesron Mod does take time to get used to. Even simple and familiar mechanics become unusual with it, it's a completely different gaming experience!

The game is awesome. If you want a challenge, if you want rage rampage or if you just want a destruction therapy, this game has it all.
I've been playing it for a year and there's still something new to explore.
Even though the missions are mostly too easy, unless you play it on a insane difficulty, everything else is 10/10!
Also, It would be a bit better with some new abilities of the helicopters and if the aiming and damage done by the helicopter cannon was better, but hey, there's no perfection on this world.
Overall, with the money you pay for it you get SO much more back unlike most other games.

No, it's not a mod. I just recorded the moment of sniper elimination from one angle first, and then from another with the help of AI partner. Then I combined them as if they were the same moment😉

I played Far Cry 2 for the same reason I loved this game, the environments and terrain are the star of the game, all the lessons about good environment design that Ubisoft has learned from making games were put flawlessly into it and it shows.
All the far cry games are good except 5. 4 and 6 were my favorite.

They released half a game and expected you to get the rest of the content in the season pass, wildlands had better game play structure but needed the polish and stealth of Breakpoint
Ubisoft is a very specific company that managed to give people hope for a great project, but ruined everything. Alas, nothing can be done about it. We can only hope that the next Ghost Recon will be a reward for all the mistakes made with Breakpoint.
Gets better and Better, my favorite game , can not wait till the next….I’ve been constantly playing it over and over since it came out, even replayed Wildwood last week.

I've played both Breakpoint and its predecessor Wildlands on PC for many hours (I've completed the story mission on Wildlands). Honestly, they're both must-have essential games that far out-do anything else for tactical fps in a huge open world, except for The Division games which are on par in terms of quality shooters, but in an alternative style.
However, after much time flicking back and forth between Breakpoint and Wildlands, I'd say Wildlands is hands down my favourite of the lot and of any game for that matter. Breakpoint is still top quality though and an essential game.

Do these mods work on the steam deck?
IAs a follower of nearly all of the TC games I've been a big fan of all the ghost recon games so i was on this from day 1 and put my crew onto this game and we rocked out on this as well as wildlands and we loved them both to the point I installed this game back onto my series X to play again. While it is playable solo it really is more fun playing with friends. Wildlands was a lot of fun as well I loved the predator content. it fit ghost recon so well being outside in the wilderness and you hear the predators crackling in the atmosphere got me shook and excited all at the same time not to forget the splinter cell content and it was very cool how breakpoint had the future solder content as well as the terminator. he was SOB to defeat but it was all fun. Can't wait to see what the next ghost recon brings to us, still don't understand all the negative press both of these games received. It's been content like this that made me ready to play breakpoints again. Great Video!

The need to work on the Missions and the story line very well, steady communication, more AI teammate they don't need to revive them again, and add some cenematic, under water missions, different countries special operation or war, cameras
GREAT FP gameplay. It is apparent how much more difficul it is to keep stealthy in First Person.
Should never of got rid of Offline play game mode in Ghost Recon iP choice Options Always best for fan's & Gamer's.
Online Offline Options to switch needs to be included in Project Over to play either Offline or with other players.
I have Wildlands. If/When Breakpoint is on a Steam Sale, I may pick it up. When it came out, user-reviews were not good. Steam still shows "Mostly Positive". Quite often I can't play Wildlands, because the server won't connect. Takes 5 to 6 attempts.
Wildlands is a lot more interesting. breakpoint world is dead. There is nobody in it. It’s a lot of places with people standing around waiting to get shot. Gunplay is nice but Wildlands is a like a busy living thing next to this.
This game has been the best. Everyone just slept on it. Wildlands and Breakpoint.

I'm a Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six fan from the very beginning of the franchise. I wasn't sure when Wildlands came out but when I bought it, oh my lord did I like it. And Breakpoint just further captured me. An utterly fantastic game.. and if you have friends it is even better. My friends and I play on the most extreme settings since we like the challenge. That'll keep you honest since get downed is so easy at the extreme settings.
Glad you are excited about Breakpoint. It's a great game that's made even more fun thanks to modders. Yes, this game should be played exclusively on the hardest settings and preferably with Spartan Mod.
When you say abandoned, did Ubisoft not improve the game a lot after release? I heard that at launch it was pretty bad. I only started playing it last year and found it to be great.

Breakpoint looks better than Wildlands, but Wildlands wins overall for variety of missions, environments and overall fun. I can't recall a single memorable mission in Breakpoint and I hated the drones. This first person mod looks good though, so I might give the game another shot...
Glad you're comparing the two games so adequately. Yes, Wildalnds was definitely better in terms of the liveliness of the environment and the story, but overall Breakpoint still took a step forward in physics, graphics, and overall gameplay feel. No one loved the drones, it was an inherently bad choice of setting for this game.

breakpoint is fun and has long been a tactical shooter which is great for coop or solos. The thing is that if only ubisoft would maybe continue to add in more updates and hopefully continue to care more for this game. other than that its a great game especially if playing with friends.
If there's a way I can buy this game, someday, and the possibility of playing online with others (Breakpoint too) online or not, I would like to form my own squad. I would call it Los Cuervos, all dressed in pitch black.

They had to officially implement first person mode to give this game new life. Instead of that they tried witht their filthy idea about implementing Ubisoft cryptocurrency into breakpoint and when they got negative response they shutdown support for breakpoint....

If they just made a large desert sandbox and remove most of these futuristic devices and scenery and add more population and more battle scenarios, and maybe a larger fireteam Ubisoft GR would’ve rise back to the top, died at wildlands unfortunately.
Alas, you're right. It didn't really require too much from Ubisoft, it just needed to realize the full potential of this game...

Honestly, my PC is on the limit in Breakpoint on Ultra settings, but my priority is to give the viewer the best movie experience possible😉
