Leningrad was severly damaged during WW2 and many thousands people killed. Very sad! How did the USSR/Russia manage to rebuild St Petersburg to become the beautiful city it is now? Where did the money come from? And who/what was the driving force?
Rock Chalk Jay Hawk from a fellow alum! My family really enjoys your vlog - it is fun to see how you and your family lives. We are fellow travelers and foodies and want to know the recipe for the Adjapsandal that you made on your outings to the countryside. It looks amazing. Thanks in advance.
I love your videos! I was born in Russia but my mom & I moved to NYC when I was a year old. Your videos provide such a genuine outlook on a life & I really appreciate it :) St. Petersburg is gorgeous!
I used to travel a lot internationally in my job and the best lesson of all from this was that there are good and kind people everywhere, all wanting to have a good life and to support their families. I love watching Vlogs such as yours as they reinforce this message and help people see past all of the political nonsense that citizens are told about other countries and their peoples. I am half English and half German and have a Russian wife (from Crimea). I remember experiencing the craziness of the Siberian climate when on one trip we were walking to an Irish pub in Novosibirsk city centre in 25C minus and six months later avoiding the mosquitos at a picnic barbecue and wild strawberry picking in the woods by the bank of the Ob river. Your Vlogs are excellent, keep up the good work. Greetings from London.
I’m very jealous of the snow 👏 for your Q & A, in your personal view, what is the best and worst thing about living in Russia? For example, choice of foods, job opportunities, social life ? Love your videos of St Petersburg, let’s see some more. Stay safe and warm
Don’t be jealous of snow lol I live in Western New York (USA) and we get winters like Russia, I agree with Svetlana winter is good for a few days not many months lol 😂
@@vincifernandez1137 I was born and raised in San Francisco. We get more than our share of fog and drizzle. Maybe that's why we get so many visitors from London. The weather makes them feel at home lol

Hi Svetlana, thank you for your lovely and interesting videos. Growing up in Siberia, how did you end up living in St. Petersburg ? Is your entire family living nearby? What are you doing for work these days? I would suggest modeling! Thanks again!
Thanks for showing us the beautiful scenery of a snowy day in Saint Petersburg. Thanks so much for banning politics from your channel. Many of us are so sick of that topic and that's one reason we choose to watch happy and uplifting channels like yours. 👍 Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.
I’ve heard that Russia is more advanced in beauty treatments than the US. Like for instance there is Russian women in different countries that will travel back to Russia to get their hair/nails done because no other country can compare to the Beauty Masters of Russia! What type of beauty treatments can you get in Russia that you can’t get in other countries? Also what are some beauty tips that Russian women swear by.
What was it like going to school as a child in Siberia? I’m a teacher in the US and I’m always curious about what schools are like in other countries. Thanks!
I really like this video and the music is superbly classy and stately, like Saint Petersburg. I'm with you, winter sucks and one day is plenty. As long as the winters are, you'd think that there'd be lots of Green Houses everywhere and that apartments and houses would be fitted with them, so that people could successfully grow plants year-round? St isac's Cathedral is amazing. You can get an idea of how huge it is, by looking at the size of the people using the cat-walk rising from the right bell tower. I would definately ride in one of the royal coaches, just for the experience. The Winter Palace is remarkable and massive. Question time. You speak English well, where did you learn it? Do you have any university education and what is it? What is your personal mission for your life? What is your next goal you'd like to accomplish? You read books, so what is your reading interest? Meaning, do you read all subject matters or do you prefer one more than the others? Example: SciFi, Fantasy, Crime, Mystery, Biography, History, Fiction, Religious, Self Help, Gardening, etc.. Where would you like to spend the rest of your life? Or, where in the world do you like most and would be happy there? Do you believe in God?

Thank you for sharing this snow day. It’s absolutely beautiful. Snow is so novel for me. My question for you: have you ever visited California, especially where I was born & live, San Diego? (We’re very close to Mexico) 😊 I ask because if you’re not very fond of the snow but enjoy it for a couple days, you may really like it here in winter…..you can go to our mountains to ski in the morning, drive home through the desert and go watch a sunset in the evening all in about an hour. ♥️

1. First question are you married 2. If money was no object, which country in the world, you would consider vacationing for an entire year. 3. Have you ever modeled any clothing lines. 4. Where in Siberia did you grow up? For myself after growing up in Germany but now living in California I like winter again, and even more so the rain. We don't have rain here between April and October, and let alone any snow. You need to go to Yosemite or that area if you want to see snow.
Here in Northern Michigan, USA, we had two snowstorms in three days...your guys plow the snow the same way our guys do. I saw a lot of those snow plows this past week. Well, we won't have to dream of a white Christmas anyway. MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022 !
For a first time visitor would you recommend booking a tour prior or taking local tours according to your interest . I would love to visit St Petersburg and Moscow maybe add another city . Thanks
I thought about you while I was working the other day. You seem to be a combination of a very refined person and yet down to earth, I wondered how that came to be? Thanks.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Also, what kind of car would you own if money was not an issue? There are so many questions I would like to ask 😆
In Iowa today temp was 74 deg! Unseasonably warm, followed by many thunderstorms and some tornadoes. Most unusual weather. I have 2=question 1- do you have a job other than U-Tube? 2- My wife and I are scheduled to do Moscow to St Petersburg in summer 2022. Do you have any recommendation for a St Petersburg guide for two days. The guide would have to be fairly fluent in English. We will have The Viking tour company day in St Petersburg, but have booked an additional two days. Hopefully Covid will not cause cancellation as it did for that trip this past summer. I really enjoy you and your channel, you bring intelligence, grace and beauty to your productions which enhances the beauty of your part of Russia. We were in St Petersburg two years ago.
I would like to know more about your grandmother and hear her recite poetry. Also, could you teach us how to say things like hello, thank you, and goodbye? Love your channel!
Get hold of a power pack with two outlets - one for electrically heated gloves, the other to keep your phone alive. Keep the power pack in a blouse pocket and run the wire along your arm keep it in place with a bracelet or watch strap and you will be set for more outdoors. What are the popular pastimes in northern Russia in the evenings, are there dance classes, night classes etc?
We are do much alike regarding winter. Although I will say that St. Petersburg is stunning no matter the season. Have a wonderful week, my beautiful friend.♥️ Question: Which city or location in Russia would you recommend for a first time visitor?
I found your channel by accident and like your content so far. I'm not a fan of winter either. I would love to visit St Petersburg but not during the winter time. My question: How long you started doing vloging and what motivates you to do it. What do you do for a living? Would you be willing to do a live stream on UA-cam as you show us your country so we can interact with you and ask you question lived? Have a good one Svetlana. Looking forward to your next vlog post.
The snow looks beautiful. If you could, would you move to a warmer climate like Florida? I don't like the cold either, but I like to observe the snow. Thanks for sharing, stay warm and safe.
Hi Svetlana, I'm a French guy and I started to watch your videos by chance and I continu to watch them when I have free time because I like Russia a lot and you make very nice viedos. I have no questions for you, but you are a nice girl and I think a very kind person. i wish you a merry Xmas and keep it up my friend bye.
Hi Svetana - are there any winter clothes that you love to wear? Personally i prefer the summer styles but there are some things we just have to put on for winter - ok i love big sweaters and boots but thats about it!
How can you hate winter? A coating of snow makes the most desolate places beautiful. It comes as no surprise though, with all the videos of you in tropical places or swimming. I love winter though and miss the snow. It does not snow where I live now. You might like it though, it gets up to 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Don't worry, you are not the only one who do not care to discuss politics. Where would you live outside of Russia? What is your favorite place you have been. And where do you dream of going(if you haven't been there already). I'll give you one guess where my dream destination is. I look forward to your Q&A video.
It's pretty easy to hate winter when it lasts 6+ months and you can't go out anywhere because of it, and the steering wheel in your car is too cold to touch. And the RH is zero and you have to take a bath every day to stop your skin falling off.
i hate the winter as well in the UK we dont have a lot of snow ,just seems like months of dull weather and every thing looks dirty ,muddy and grey, i prefer it if it was nice crisp snow i could put up with it , how long do you think you live in SP and were will you move to if not ,looks really nice there with or without snow
Thanks for sharing your videos, I really enjoy them. Saint Petersburg is such a beautiful city. I'd very much like to visit Russia some day . We don't get much winter here . I'm wearing my summer clothes still. We might get some winter weather in a day or two. I like the snow. My Question is, what are homes like there , in the suburbs , out of the city ? Do most folks live in apartments or have single family homes , and what are they like ? Hope you have a Happy New Year. Best wishes from Louisiana , 🇺🇸 .
Who is your fiancé and how did you meet? What are your plans together? What do you do for work? What camera and video editor do you use/other equipment? What do you want to accomplish next year? What about in your life? What’s your impressions of US, having lived there? What do you want to make a video on but for some reason never would?
Will you ever come back to the U.S. to travel to different states? You are super cute in the hat with snow on it. Merry Christmas. Stay safe jay hawk 🌲❄️
Hi Svetlana, you can be glad to have a real winter. Here in Germany it is not 3 months of snow - but 3 month of rain and stormy wind - not better believe me! I have been 3 times to Skt. Petersburg and my question is .: Why is this city at least 3 times more expensive than Moscow??? In restaurants for lunch f. ex. you get a business lunch for a normal price but the bottle of beer is about 8 Euro!!! I never spend so much money in restaurants like in Saint Petersburg!
Where do you live? Is it an apartment? What is the inside of your home like? What’s your typical day like? Do you have a job as well as doing your channel? Do you prefer Russia to the places you have visited overseas as an air hostess?
If you don't like winter you should move to Hawaii or Florida of the United States. You could also move to Virginia Beach because it has winter, spring, summer and fall. Summer is my personal favorite. I agree with you as well about hating winter.

Did you start the channel for any particular reason or simply because you have a passion for your home country? Youre an absoloute natural on camera! Secondly: Have you been to either Australia or New Zealand? I highly reccomend both and can reccomend the best places for you. Spasibo!

Hope to see you down here! Have a Happy New Year from sunny Florida.
I’m with ya girl, I absolutely despise anything to do with snow or cold….period!
Good show,! Thanks from Detroit Michigan USA Harold
Thank you for the nice video o enjoy watching and listening to you👋
Svetlana, You must come to Bangkok in the season of the summer solstice. It's warm and the sun is high and the sky is blue and filled with fluffy white clouds that seem to glow in the tropical sky. This time of year makes the sunshine so vivid and special. Hope to see you here some day, Thailand Paul
Stay warm my friend. Snow is beautiful but I know people who live there wish it wouldn’t last very long. Come to USA and enjoy the warm weather. Be safe. Stay blessed
LOL...You crack me up! I HATE winter as well! One day of snow and maybe a couple days of cold and I'm Done! Ready for the beach or tropical climates asap...Lol!
Enjoy the snow beautiful Svetlana! Here in Singapore is either sunny or raining!😊😊😊
Svetlana, I love the way you put your videos across ….a suggestion …could you do a video on coffee shops and what your favourite way of drinking coffee….💕🇬🇷
Merry Christmas !! Svetlana !! More !! More ! Christmas !! God Bless You !!
Only found your channel today.
I like it very much that you show everyone your homeland.
A wonderful walk by St. Petersburg. Thank you.
Thanks !! Your update !! This is the first I watching your Vlog !! Have a Blessed a Day !! From; Milwaukee USA 🇺🇸
Looks good to see History. The videos are nice to see. Thanks
It’s simply heavenly, then so are you. It’s looks very Christmasy
For a first time visitor would you recommend booking a tour prior or taking local tours according to your interest . I would love to visit St Petersburg and Moscow maybe add another city . Thanks
So beautiful , I love Piter and the snow.
❤🌠👍 as always Svetlana...Spasiba.... always nice to see Russia, in the wonderful way you present it:-) blessings to all of you this Christmas!
I picture Svetlana driving a Jeep with the top down. She seems to love the outdoors 🙂
Cheers from south west Florida... go out on my yacht every weekend here. Almost always beach weather... cheers :)))
I’m a gun owner and I’m want to see what a gun store looks like in Russia. Thank you for this video these buildings in Russia is really a work of art.
Svetlana, no! thank you for sharing your beautiful city with us. Merry Christmas?
Where is ski resort. The construction of old buildings amazing. Who built Winter Palace.
You just reminded me to check on someone Thank You 🥰
In Iowa today temp was 74 deg!
Agree! Her grandmother is sooooo cute!!!
Have a wonderful week, my beautiful friend.♥️
Question: Which city or location in Russia would you recommend for a first time visitor?
Svetlana, You Are Very Warm & Lovely GOD Bless~ Shalom~ :)
Thank you...it's nice to see the city
Hi Svetlana, I'm a French guy and I started to watch your videos by chance and I continu to watch them when I have free time because I like Russia a lot and you make very nice viedos. I have no questions for you, but you are a nice girl and I think a very kind person. i wish you a merry Xmas and keep it up my friend bye.
Hi Svetana - are there any winter clothes that you love to wear? Personally i prefer the summer styles but there are some things we just have to put on for winter - ok i love big sweaters and boots but thats about it!
Love your videos. Its an opportunity to see still unknown country of Russia through your videos and words.
At work right now, but I’ll watch your new episode later in the day. 🍂🍁❄️
Svetlana Your English is perfect it looks beautiful in St Petersburg I would love too see it in the Summer .
Thank you for posting this kinds of valuable post.
Why don’t you come to Australia next winter? And go to Alice Springs where the temperature gets to nearly 50oC, which is worse than minus 50oC!
Wow wow wow wow wow awesome superb awesome video maam as usual really nice 👍
i hate the winter as well in the UK we dont have a lot of snow ,just seems like months of dull weather and every thing looks dirty ,muddy and grey, i prefer it if it was nice crisp snow i could put up with it , how long do you think you live in SP and were will you move to if not ,looks really nice there with or without snow
such history., a very beautiful country..
My question is you were working for a good airline it seems like you had a great job with benefits why would you leave it?
privet! ty ochen' krasivaja, kak i nekotoryje kadry Pitera!!! winter-slishkom chasto zvuchialo...
Merry Christmas Svetlana!!❤️❤️❤️🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Girl, you are my kind. Don't like cold winters and politics. Totally agree.
Beautiful in winter there . But better to be inside and look out the window 😃
Such a beautiful young lady in a beautiful place, great video
You are absolutely right that’s why I’m living in Florida USA
Will you ever come back to the U.S. to travel to different states? You are super cute in the hat with snow on it. Merry Christmas. Stay safe jay hawk 🌲❄️
I think you would love living in Florida
Man Russia is gorgeous this time of the year. Wow, so beautiful.
Question: Firstly, Spasibo Vam Balsho, you have a great channel. Did you start the channel for any particular reason or simply because you have a passion for your home country? Youre an absoloute natural on camera!
Secondly: Have you been to either Australia or New Zealand? I highly reccomend both and can reccomend the best places for you.
Spasibo!
really looking forward to meeting you next week hun!
You look like the snow queen. St Petersburg looks beautiful in the snow, but if you don't like snow would you prefer to live somehwere like California where the weather is generally warm and sunny? ALSO, you are so creative with the camera, I wonder if you enjoy painting or drawing? Do you have an artistic passion?
What are those winter hats called? (The ones with the ear covers) I WANT ONE BADLY!!!….and can I order one to get shipped to Tennessee??? By the way beautiful town any season. Can you see the Northern Lights? (Aurora Borealis)
Yes, winter beutiful and you frends. 😊😊😊
"And my hand, the one that's holding the phone, is about to fall off!" 😁
