I own the K6s and can attest that it's phenomenal. It's incredibly light weight and the vision is everything you'd want. The vents don't really work until you get up to 60mph or so but if you're running at speeds then the vents work great. Buy with confidence.
Since you're saying that the vents need a certain speed to work, are they too weak? I need glasses to ride and I'm afraid they'll fog up in the K6S if the ventilation is not enough.
@@Meridian4302 I wear sunglasses and have a pinlock 120 in the helmet and it doesn't fog up at all. My sun glasses have fogged very slightly a few times but as soon as I move again they clear up. For me, fogging is not an issue. The vents don't really seem to flow a ton of air at lower speeds. Overall, fogging is a non issue for me in the helmet with my sunglasses.
@@Meridian4302 I can say that if you do order/buy the helmet through a retailer like cycle gear/revzilla then you can return it with no issues if you don't like the helmet. I had a 30 day return as long as it wasn't obviously worn or scratched. I absolutely love the helmet.
@@cloud9847 Awesome, that's nice and reassuring to hear. Thank you for the quick response!
Wow I just found out that there was a 3rd air vent up top! Thank you! Love this helmet, very happy with the fit! I'm a new motorcyclist and I figured I wanted a good one, especially since I chose an 09 gsxr 600 as my beginner bike (its fast but I understand it isn't insanely fast compared to liter bikes). Just got a flat tire tho which sucks. Got one ordered, gonna learn how to change that myself too. Learning is a lovely thing lmao
How big of a step-up is this helmet from a K5 S? I can't really decide if the K6 S is worth the extra money or not..
No chin curtain?
@@eye492 A piece of cloth that covers under the chin stopping wind/air from flowing up under your chin. The K6s has one, I own the helmet and it's great.
@@cloud9847 thanks brodie i actually bought a k6s recently and i figured it out i’m excited to ride
I ride a Harley and am looking between this and a rf1400. Wanting the quietest helmet possible. What should I go with
The Shoei RF-1400 will be quieter and slightly heavier. See here to shop for an RF-1400 at Speed Addicts - www.speedaddicts.com/search?search_query=shoei+rf-1400
If you want the quietest full-face helmet that is not modular, check out the Schuberth R2 Carbon or R2 Traction. Schuberth has defined their niche in the helmet world as that of being extremely high quality and extremely quiet, as compared to other helmets.
I just got a k6. Should i have just gotten a k6s?
The K6 is still an amazing helmet, biggest difference is the newest ECE 22.06. The K6 still has a lot of life in it.
They used to have ms and ml....went to your site and only medium now?
I need a ms in AGV
You are correct, they've done away with the half sizes. You can still get that MS fit by swapping cheek pads. Was the Medium too loose in the face or crown for you?
@@SpeedAddictsTV I bought a medium in SUOMY TRACK 1 but it's loose, I have an AGV K6 and I feel the interior is nicer than SUOMY overall.....is SR-GP interior better than Track-1?....is suomy small comparable to AGV ms....
@@kirkdunn1379 - Track 1 - Where is it small on you? // SR-GP Medium will fit tighter in the face than the Track 1 for sure. Yes, SR-GP interior is a step up. Might be best if you call in and speak with one of our pros - Ask for Alex or Schad.
@@SpeedAddictsTV i did call but they just said to return it....shipping it back tom and I'll figure it out
Medium was loose pretty much everywhere
My head measures 22 -22 1/8
@@kirkdunn1379 A Medium SR-GP would probably be on the money for you. As the small and medium share a shell it's always possible to send you out different pads or headliner.
We just left you a VM - call back and we'll get you dialed in.
Arai Regent-X Helmet vs AGV K6 S Helmet??
This is similar to the recently requested K6 S vs RF-1400. The AGV is going to be lighter and easier on the eyes than the competition. But both the Regent-X and RF-1400 out of Japan have an extremely high build quality. So the question is do you want a lighter weight, more aggressively styled helmet or something that's heavier, but of a high overall build quality.
K6/K6S vs tx-pro? 🤔
I would recommend the Suomy TX-Pro. Lightweight, sleek, and can't beat the graphics in my opinion.
No internal sun visor? 😢
If you're after the sun visor check out the K5 S, it's en excellent lid - www.speedaddicts.com/search?search_query=agv+k5+s#/sort:calculated_price:desc
@@SpeedAddictsTV thanks! Pity not 22.06..
I'm looking for a full face full carbon helmet in white with a sun visor. Any recommendations?
@@excaliburprime1801 manufactures are having a tough time getting helmets with sun visors to pass ECE 22.06. New models are coming, but at the moment there's nothing ECE 22.06 that's carbon, with a dropdown sun visor. You'll have to give on one of those points.
sorry but the pinlock system to put the visor back in absolutely sucks. i couldn’t get the visor in for over an hour.
nice, thanks for this! I'm looking for something to replace my aging Shoei RF-1200. The 1400 is probably the next logical step up, but these AGV helmets seem real nice. Do you have any plans on making a video about the new K3 for 2023, also? appreciate all your vids.
We have new videos coming for all current AGV helmets including the K3. RF-1400 vs K6 S - Both excellent helmets. The AGV will be significantly lighter, but Shoei still edges them out on fit and finish. Life is full of trade offs 🏁🏁🏁
thanks! I ended up getting this and a visor from you guys. Hope it works well for my sport touring
Heya. Which will be quieter for a naked bike? K6S or RF1400? Thanks
@@dv2045 what’s up! I actually have both the 1400 and K6S now because I like having some diff helmets to choose from. the RF-1400 is much quieter for me personally. it’s a lot tighter fitting around the neck rolls. I don’t have to turn my cardo up as loud to hear anything. I don’t ride a naked bike, but my Tracer has less wind protection than most.
@@nickmcmn thanks for the info. Rf1400 it is!
