Babe I hope your okay. I know life sucks and we only have a few infinite moments in our lifetime. Ah I know it’s been 2 years but I wish the best for you.
As a victim although it leaves scars for your entire life but it really gets better because you're going to graduate one day. And they'll be some time that you won't even think about it.
The fact that this is the first video that made me want to cry is what I love about it, the song, the clips I swear I can relate to all of them you did a great job. trust me I'm a very difficult person to make cry and this video almost had me super close
This came out so beautifully! I wish I could give all the characters one big hug, so many emotions but at the end of the day, all these characters endured which is inspirational, this video made me feel sad and want to smile at the same time. Great job everyone! Thank harukno89 for this collab
As someone who was bullied all through school right up until the day I left, I can say it doesn't get better. My daughter was bullied in both primary and high school and despite me raising hell the faculty in both schools denied it was happening. NOTHING changes, in another 20-30 years no doubt my grandkids will be suffering just the same too. Until teachers START getting involved and STOPPING the violence, it won't end. That makes me so depressed I could just cry....especially when I know of instances where the teachers were involved too.
It DOES get better though, you grew up, you had a life, you have beautiful children. YOU changed, even if the system didn't, YOU changed. You made good lastingly relationships with your life. You are fighting for a better tomorrow for your kids, YOU understand what they are going through. As long as people like you grow up and try to make it BETTER it will get better. School is such a small percent of our lives, as awful a time as we all went through, as violent or as cruel, it isn't the end, it's the beginning of our whole lives, we don't have to live by what happens at school, we can grow and learn from it. It does get better, it never makes what happened NOT be a part of you, but life does get better.
StarlightGumiho -- I did, but I still think I'm ugly and stupid even all these years later (though a violent ex didn't help that either). My friend who ended up in hospital because of the violent bullying, kept the sight in her right eye, but it's always given her problems. The kids who commit suicide because of it can't come back to life. Bullying is a heinous act that many bullies don't have to face consequences for. I was lucky - one of my bullies ended up facing me for a job; she tried to pretend we were best pals at school, but I remember with crystal clarity the truth. I turned her down flat - said that people like her would not be able to work in the company I represented because, unlike high school teachers, I GENUINELY maintained zero tolerance to bullies and bullying (I was in HR). Her face was a picture as she realised I remembered her and what she did to me and my friends. She tried to argue, but I had her escorted out. However, generally, they get away with it and that's not right. I'm afraid I'm not a good enough person to want to leave it to karma - usually because, of those who are NOT sorry (and that's most), they raise their kids to be the same and so the whole nightmare continues. I don't have an issue with bullies who are sorry and try to genuinely put things right - but the others? They deserve 'consequences'.
If you are left with those feelings of being ugly and stupid, I do suggest you reach out for help for it. Beauty is subjective. If all that's valued in someone is how beautiful they are, that's going to fade and their self value will fade too. As for being called stupid, that has the same truth to it. Intelligence comes in all forms and cannot be judged by a bunch of kids. No, as I said, the violence and cruelty can't be undone, but the kids that go through it can be helped. This video is here to HELP kids in positions like we were. To tell them 'hey you aren't alone, life gets better, you can make it better, don't give up!' Just think for a moment that under all the positive message we were trying to send out in that video they see your comment saying it never gets better... just think about that kid looking for solace for a moment. Ok so in your job you have a zero tolerance in bullying, you would not have felt that way if you hadn't been through what you went through, you saved many co-workers the pain of going through something similar. It got better, you did something good with the bad things that happened to you. In life that's all we can do. It isn't fair, it's cruel and good people get hurt. If we remain bitter about the bad things that happen in our life we grow bitter. Some people are just sh88y people. Change doesn't happen quickly, look how long it took for the MeToo movement to happen (another form of bullying) For anything to change the people that want it to change have to keep fighting. Join anti bullying campaigns, join counselling teams for schools, volunteer on help hotlines ask in your community how you can help. Kids have a lot more to turn to today than I did 20 years ago, and hopefully that will continue on. All we can do is help the fight and be their when a child needs us. Hopefully one day it will become socially unacceptable to bully, but it's a long way off yet. I think we've hijacked the comment section here enough. I'm happy to continue the chat in DM if you wish. All the best to you and your family.
TroubleMcTrouble I'm very sad to hear that. I hope one day you find a way to move forward and live your life knowing you are a great person and your past does not define you. I hope you can use your knowledge and experinces to help others in need and not see only the negative and pain.. It's a hard road to travel. All the best to you.
I will never understand violence against LGBTQI people it is so weird and pathetic to attack people who have not done anything but try to be themselves. I think only the most insecure, weak and downright evil perpetrate this kind of thing.
When you can relate so much to this but you already know it it won't get better.
Hee Young Park you okay???
