- Shane Howard, formerly of band GOANNA, &, Emma Donovan, from Emma Donovan and The Putbacks perform the GOANNA, hit, SOLID ROCK, from the 1982 GOANNA album, 'SPIRIT OF PLACE'.
They performed SOLID ROCK on Spring Street, MELBOURNE in front of the Victorian Parliament House, which is visible in the background, alongside trams..
The purpose of this gig, being a 'pop-up' gig, to encourage people to frequent Melbourne's CBD again.
The gigs proved a huge success!!
Shane & Emma are absolutely brilliant together. The song and its meaning are more relevant today than they ever were.

@@Suzibee55 That's where some of us have been designated to, i.e. the "un-vaccinated", as well as smokers! Recently some of our aboriginal people were taken from their homes under the pretext of "Covid" and put into "Isolation camps" ... then their land was taken over by miners!

He wrote it. He can do what he bloody wants to it. I love the version. Emma and Shane sound so good together too. I thought i loved Warrumpi and Yothu Yindi, but Goanna especially the Lyrics always gets me. These three bands always remind me of Australia.
