I've moved with two cats and four turtles from Pa to NC!!! The biggest uhaul with a car in tow with just me and my son who was 12 at the time with no GPs back then neither!!! We had mapquest😂😂😂

We moved from Cali to Mississippi years ago when my dad was active duty, and we stopped similarly to how you are planning. Good luck with everything! Wishing you all a safe and fun trip.
I like your videos so I am going to give you unsolicited advice and ask you to please get a dolly. That is a long way to carry boxes even if your lifting form is good. Save your back. I moved a lot also, did a lot of yard work etc. 9 months out from a 2 level fusion with screws and rods. Enjoy California!

With your dog and the cow please be careful they protect themselves from coyotes all the time and I would hate for one to mistake your dog as one I understand the coyotes and Caly look quite different but cows can see alot of things as threats
