Halloween pour 👀👀👀
You bet! Always good to do a good Halloween project
I just order one too😊 because I want to make my own gold pendants because every time I take to a jeweler, some gold gets lost and they take some karats down which means they still more gold from me, plus I got to pay them , like I’m buying their gold even though , I provide all the gold✌🏼
Word!
🤜🤛🍻🐺
Nice pierces. Like your new oven. Can you plug it into any wall outlet, or do you have to use special plug in? Anyway love your channel. Please keep up the brilliant work...
Thank you!!! Yes, it can just be plugged into a standard 110v household outlet.
You cant hit the inside of the furnace while its cooking with a butane torch just to help accelerate the warming up process?
Got the tags. Thank you for the clover
Awesome, hope you liked them. You are most welcome.
Thanks for this, very helpful. What's the lowest temperature this can go to, i need to slowly heat something from 300c to 600c over a few hours, thanks, liked and subbed :)
It heats pretty slow, should work to set at 300 and slowly ramp up to 600
That's great, thanks a lot for replying. @@Thewulf56
Does the little electric furnace worth it or do you prefer propane furnace? cheers! good work.
I would have to say at this point, I really like it, It does take a while to get heated up and melted, anywhere from 1h15min-1hr30min or more depending on how much metal you are melting. It really does well on the small jobs. The Gas furnace is still great for the bigger jobs or just melting in general.
I want to make 5 lb copper ingots. Do you think this can handle it?
It should be able too, gonna take a while to melt that much, but it should. Make sure to have good tools, the little tongs that come with it are a bit flimsy.
@@Thewulf56 thanks man. I’m really new and need a lot of advice
Are you gonna sell them as a set and will you h ave shiny ones as well?
I do not have any shiny ones, I wanted to make them look older/aged, so I antiqued this batch, I could make another batch if they were wanted, and yes, I could sell as a set. Send me an email and let me know what you might be interested in.
Hello. What black powder is that you use? Cheers 🖖🏻🇲🇽
Its not a powder, it is called Liver of Sulfur, add it to boiling or hot water, wait a minute or so till its dark as you want it, and remove, rinse in water with baking soda in it, and you can leave it totally dark or hit it with steel wool remove color from high spots and make the details stand out.
@@Thewulf56 thanks 🙏🏻. But i meant the black powder or sand you use in the frame to encase the model. Cheers
@@JuanMartinez-kq1ms oh ok, my bad, I misunderstood. It is just old Petrobond sand that I rejuvenate and reuse. It is black and not red cause it gets burnt so much.
@@Thewulf56 thanks boss. Love your channel 🖖🏻🇲🇽

Jon and Steve.😆😆👍
show off haha
I have.this furnace but having terrible results trying to melt copper, never melts enough to do anything with? What am I doing wrong?..
what temp are you setting the furnace at? I am running mine around 1125, but it takes around 75-90 minutes to melt a good crucible full of copper.
@@Thewulf56 running at full temp for 3-4 hours , most of copper is wire
how tight do you have the wire pack into the crucible? I had some cutoff pieces stuffed on top of a small ingot and I kept watching and watching and they would never melt as they were really close to the top of the crucible, come to find out they were stuck and the ingot underneath had melted. Careful on how long you run these electric furnaces, to long for to hot could cause them to mess up. the book should say, I think it is around 3 hours if I remember correctly.
@@Thewulf56 it’s not packed too tight but what’s at the bottom just turns more or less to dust?
hmm, that shouldn't happen. is it pure copper wire, what is it from? you have any pics or video, if so could you post them somewhere or email me, thewulf056@gmail.com
Will this melt brass?
Yes, it melts copper fine, which has a higher melting point than brass, so it will easily melt brass.
Cann you melt gold, silver, nickel from this furnace?
Pretty much anything up to copper, or around 2100 degrees. Nickel is a bit to high.
@@Thewulf56 why does it reach 2100 degrees celcius?
@@mheryllemaec.aguinaldo3174 Fahrenheit
pretty sure they melt everything except iron which needs a slightly higher temp to melt than these little units are capable of
I don't know the setting to wait 2 hours if the liver is not destroyed yet, boss, please teach me how to set it, boss
Heat it up, clean the piece with alchohol or whatever you have to remove greases from it then dip it until it reaches the shade of darkness you want. Leave dark or use fine steel wool and water and brush down the high spots on it. Then seal with a clear coat

Guess it took 4 days to cast everyting? I hear those electric furnaces take forever to melt metal
Think it took about 2.5 hours, about 90minutes initially to melt about 50 ounces, pour 3, reheat, add more metal and then pour final 3.
Nice work
