Fstoppers has been mainly focused on photography gear but we are considering branching out and talking about other products that we are interested in (in this case it's my new Bose sunglasses). We might post this content on Fstoppers.com or we might just post it exclusively on UA-cam. Eventually we may create a new UA-cam channel so that it doesn't get mixed in with our Photography content. @@MitchFromSyd Thanks for the reply. Serious question though: Do you feel like you have to be interested in 100% of the content on the channels that you subscribe to? Aren't there some videos from your favorite channels that you don't watch? If you don't care about Bluetooth headphones, why did you click on this? Did you assume it would tie into photography?
@@FStoppers you are correct I do skip some from time to time. I guess my criticism comes from I know fstoppers for photography and videography not so much product reviews. I could see this being successful in it's own right as you guys have years if experience in productions behind you that enables you to have solid production quality right out of the gate, just think it doesnt fit for me with who fstoppers is. Happy to be proven wrong. Good content speaks for its self and finds its audience I guess
Another UA-camr wearing sunglasses in videos. I feel like your video production quality has gone way up, and I think it's mostly because you guys look super happy in Puerto Rico, it's making these short films really fun!
I impulsively bought these and now I'm obsessed - wearing these on my boat or doing outdoor activities is great, so much freedom from in ear headphones. It was something I didn't think I needed but look at the apple watch today, people said the same thing.
On a 27" imac I can hear them moderately easily, it was hardest, mostly because you didn't shut up long enough to try to hear. They were very loud when you put them near the mic. As a tech guy, they are obviously not just regular glasses. I don't care they are earphones so not sure why it would matter to anyone else either. Too bad Bose didn't put them in glasses that had the fast acting transitions coating. Oh, not all sunglasses cost $5, there are good and crappy glasses. The coating are what make them expensive. My eyeglasses were $400 but the frame and glass was only $150 of it. The anti scratch, transitions, and anti-reflective coatings are what cost so much. Bass is always a function of cone size or closeness to the eardrum. Ear buds only have base becasue they are in your ear canal where all it takes is a small driver to move enough air to make base. So these are essentially $10 sunglasses with $190 extra for some tiny speakers. No thanks. I bet there are $100 versions that are just as good from other brands. Bose has ALWAYS been overpriced. I have been in Car and Home audio for 30 years, some Bose speakers sound great but those speakers cost 50%+ more than equally great speakers from JBL, Infinity, Klipsch ( what I own myself ) or polk Audio. You definitely pay top $$ for the name. If they work for then happy for ya. I enjoy the content even when it isn't something I would buy.
I just got hearing aids and they are Bluetooth & it’s all connected to my phone and I hear everything from my phone it’s really great, yeah I’m a old man .
If you want the sound without the glasses, check out Trekz Titanium headphones. Similar concept, but it's just a band that goes around the back of your head and uses bone conduction. Exact same results, I've found. OK for music, GREAT for spoken-word.
I got Bose frames because I hate headphones or earphones.. and this is just perfect for me .. music is decent, I like being able to hear what is going around me..... Awesome review.
I picked these up a few weeks ago when they first came out. I used them for a week, but ultimately returned them. They were cool, but a little too heavy for me and slid down my nose a lot. I also didn't like how people around me could hear my full conversation. I'll still be using my AirPods.
Great review but if the base is weak, no way will I drop $200 dollars. The other issue is ambient noise or in a crowded environment. I'd rather use the "old" conventional method.
Love you guys and I don't mind these tech videos, house demos or Puerto Rico facts videos, the more the better. But if I had been in to photography solely I'd be wondering wtf have happened to this channel :P
I know Luxotica owns everything, but luckily in Canada we have some beast healthcare, so my designer frames (with prescription) are free Edit: but they are sweet sunglasses, I hope I can get them in prescription
Clicked to watch the video...ended up liking the video just for the fact that Greta van fleet *cough Zeppelin *cough was playing on the 'sunglasses'!!!
What's up with the random loud audio pops? 0:41 for instance. Pretty sure there was another in this video and some in other videos as well. I like that you guys are posting more content, but... RIP headphone users I guess :p
Jokes on you, I don't use Luxottica brands, all my sunglasses are from Maui Jim, these Bose Frames are cool though. Navigation features would actually be great when walking around cities like NYC and Chicago or overseas.
But dont' bluetooth headphones lose audio integrity???? Oh, there you go - loss of base. I sold my bluetooth earbuds. I am also a podcast/YT junkie. Also, real sunglasses have some high quality standards and technology. Revo's, Maui Jim's all good. Good review.
I could never buy these. I've broken just about every pair of sunglasses I've ever worn. I'm not about to spend $200 on sunglasses I'm likely to break.
“Much”? I have not tested them but I’ve watched and read many comparisons. Every single one says they are comparable but the Bose are slightly more conformable.

Replace the lenses with a pair of transition lenses like that when you are inside they will turn clear and when dark outside
Ivan Baez it will avoid the warranty
@@NuruddinZainal you can buy replacement lenses from Bose so I bet it wont
Beautiful video
2 question to you
What barnd is your ring
And what is the size of the bose frame you are wearing
Thx
It'd be nice it they made those with the lenses that change tint and could go clear.
Christopher Pack Art transitions. I thought the same
You have definitely peaked my interest!!! Wish you could get them with correction, like prescription sunglasses, but still pretty amazing.

superb surround crisp sound..with nothing on my ear..i love this bose frames..
If you want open ear headphones try Trekz Aftershockz. They use bone conduction technologies. 😊 I use them everywhere.
They sound horrible though right?
@@FStoppers they do not sounds bad. They do lack a little high end. They are great for music or movies and really good for spoken word.
Wait a few years and it's going to be a normal thing on a pair of prescription glasses. I wonder what we won't need to charge in the future...
Ohh, that does sound nice for podcasts and such! (if they eventually have a prescription version or normal glasses versions)
An awesome alternative without the "sunglasses" part is the Treks Titanium!

Wtf! I’m only 26 and I’m an old man cause I listen to podcast instead of music😩 great review. I need to get them.
I ordered these online . In australia , they are $299 . I should get them by tomorrow . Super excited 😊 after watching your review

I’d love to see more of these “Unbox Therapy” kind of videos 👍

Great break down man. Just got my pair two days ago.
@Fstoppers what is the brand and type of the seamless? I love it?

In line at the DMV with sunglasses on lol

pretty cool but i aint dropping 200 on sunglasses =p
GRETTA VAN FLEET 🙌🏻
For $200.00 I rather wait for a better style. However Bluetooth glasses might be great for phone calls while on the field.
Great review but if the base is weak, no way will I drop $200 dollars. The other issue is ambient noise or in a crowded environment. I'd rather use the "old" conventional method.
I would buy if they have a clear version

Couldn't agree more
Do you prefer nikon or canon ?
So good 👌 I was laughin 🤣
Bought mine yesterday
I’m waiting for the 30 mp Sony sunglasses that take pics of what you see with a click of the button
I know Luxotica owns everything, but luckily in Canada we have some beast healthcare, so my designer frames (with prescription) are free
Edit: but they are sweet sunglasses, I hope I can get them in prescription
How are they as sunglasses?
The block sun well?
If you are playing this will it disturb people nearby?
Are those bone conduction?
Finally something i can use at work without my boss saying something
Ok! You were successful in selling me one of these! Jees! 🤣🤣 Bose you need to sponsor them if they aren't already. Cheers.
You hear that Bose?
Clicked to watch the video...ended up liking the video just for the fact that Greta van fleet *cough Zeppelin *cough was playing on the 'sunglasses'!!!
Can you hear ok when used over your head instead of normal wearing ?
They do work on top of your head but it’s noticeably quieter

Premiere glitch. Randomly does it so I can’t figure out how to stop it.
@@FStoppers Wow, that sucks! Have you tried exporting at different audio settings? (you probably already did) Hope you get it fixed soon.
Is unfortunate that they aren't polarized. They'd also have to be about a quarter of the price for me to be actually interested in them.
put your phone speaker next to your ear, that is just exactly how its sound... easy to explain
pretty cool!

If Bose could make them transition lenses...
ok but what if you go inside
I’ll buying this product on your responsibility ☺️☺️
I would still prefer In Ears because you don't have to listen to people around you. Nice idea though.
Does it take 4k video?
Ofcourse
8K only.
No highs, no lows, must be Bose.

Good review.
Wait, these are real? I expected this to be a patented Fstoppers parody... Anybody remember the Oakley Thumps?
I was thinking about buying a pair on EBay for comparison
I have a pair of the artic camo 512 mb glasses
Main issue... they look dorky :P
These are sick...Taking these to Mexico with me... slap a retainer on it and bam.... battery life?
They should make light-adaptive lenses
lol yes they are definitely not for music. for me phone calls are great. nothing else. loikl
False advertising. All other reviews says bass is almost nonexistent
So now everyone are going to wear sunglasses inside, not only stupid people....
Very good review !!!! Like the joke !!!!

Same here. And I mean every pair
haha, great review ;)
Good super for you bro
Are Bose Frames polarized?
No!
But wearing sunglasses on the plane makes me look like a douchebag...
These would absolutely not work on a plane. Way too much noise. Wear them to let everyone know you’re cool only.
Loud
Hmm, Bose are known for having great noise cancelling but having not so great audio quality
But you are not going to toss the Bose cans.. use case : listening on flights..
