Two of some of my favorite creators and friends in the BMX scene! Loved this conversation! Thanks for shining the light on some of us smaller creators Isaac!! Keep up the great content you guys!! 🤙🏼
Yes! The abandoned construction site dirt lot. I wonder how many watching this can relate? The highlight of moving during my peak freestyle years was in 1986-87 when my family moved into a house at the edge of town (Champaign, IL) and just a few houses down from a neighborhood park (Johnston). Today it's long been converted to a walking path and a few house editions but in 1986 it was the epicenter of neighborhood BMX riders. It was only about 2 acres of the north end of the park but there were multiple trails and jumps and rollers and seeing how there was zero other riding spots like it anywhere in town living just 1 minute from the trail head was a BMX kid's dream! Great chat guys!
Dang, I haven't been in the BMX loop for a while. I still ride and still getting better, but I have been playing music on bass and guitar and getting way better at that. But I thought I'd check in and watch the local guys while I make some chow. Peace J:>)
You are both doing great work. I was there when Matt landed a tailwhip - a tailwhip is a big milestone I think we all remember so we reacted accordingly!
I love Nostalgic Neighborhood! I had the pleasure of meet Matt and his lovely wife at the Buckeye Bike Show this summer. Such great people! Down to earth and super nice. Matt even gave me and my daughter a few stickers during the ride out.
Just watched one of Matt's videos on how to dial in your bike. Some great tips on how to adjust v brakes and other types of brakes like 990's and side pull caliper brakes
Yeah I remember in the 80s when the housing market dropped all the vacanct lots we used to build tracks and jump on, especially the terraced ones like in E.T. Love the channel.

He's a fun vibe to watch. I really enjoy seeing him get stoked!
Lot's of humour in his videos too. Just finished watching this video. I really enjoyed listening to you guys talk about BMX and the 80's.
