My grandmother (Loretta Johnston) worked for the Wolverine Toy Co. on that day in 1927. She was injured from flying glass along with many other women as the explosion blew out the windows in her building. The building was on Fontella Street between Page and Western Avenues in Manchester. I believe that building later became the Clark Candy Co. building after Wolverine Toys was bought out by the Spang Co. in Butler PA (not 100% sure yet) The Clark Candy Co. building is still there today.
My father was a baby. He would've been 96 if he was alive today. I remember he would tell stories of what his mother, my grandmother had witnessed. We are a tough lot, us Nor'Siders;)

When this concussion wave came through shattering the windows (the heavy curtains absorbed much of the glass) and the walls buckled. She was knocked off her feet. No one in the house was hurt, other than a few bumps and scraps. But a lot of the neighbors (especially those outside) were hurt (and a couple were killed) by flying debris, broken glass, or falling down.
seems fairly clear how murderers go unprosecuted can get elected , seems like most are asleep and unaware of the dangers of psychopaths , thinking about our welfare and the public well being has absolutely been shelved with the poisons from Monsanto being protected by Obama signing the Monsanto Protection act , seems like nobody cares about the citizens of the world either , frankly the district of columbia has made murderers out of everyone through depraved indifference to human suffering , what a very messed up place this has purposefully been made into by some very corrupt monsters ,the UN is inept and seems to turn a blind eye to all of the evil ; if there is any possibility of never returning to this very evil place , everyone should just stop returning here to contribute to others suffering , all suffering is wrong , the healing energy of LOVE and miracles is our own true nature in our eternal spirit , so many just come back for the illicit sex , no wonder there is so much dis ease here
