Gareth A Davies is a helmet. He's completely burnt his bridges with Hearn and Matchroom. All Okolie needed to do was fight one more time on DAZN then he could have done whatever he wanted. He's completely irrelevant now.
Definitely a theme leaving Matchroom, Shane and 258 management inside the last 6 months. Awful style to watch and not sure if he can demand the money he wants but I think it's a good choice with Sugar Hill as his new trainer.
Last few fights were painful watches, hoping to see something from sugarhill as his new coach, but assuming there will be teething problems so another few painful watches!

Eddie hearn did a great job for OKolie. He's the most overpaid boring uninteresting fighter out there. I'm from America and i never heard of Okolie until hearn kept hyping him up. I decided to check of clips of his fight and man he's a boring average fighter. But i decided to give him a chance and streamed one of his fights live, i shut that crap off half way. But again, i decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and watch him one more time live. After that second time, i lost interest in this dude, never wasting time on this dude fights. Terribly boring average uninteresting fighter, both on and off camera. The fact that Eddie made him a champion is already way more than what he did in return for Eddie. Eddie probably lost tons of money promoting OKolie. A lot of people only know about Okolie because of Hearn, like myself. And instead of using that opportunity to impress fans, he turned away boxing fans like me.

I dont buy into this about him going over to boxxer and becoming the face of sky sports boxing, anyone whose followed his career knows hes stunk the place out more than one against some mediocre opponents. While trainers do change styles he reverted back to type under shane mcguigan again.
What I will say is that I like him as a person and he comes from a very common background like a lot of us.

Only time will tell if he's made the right move. It could work out brilliantly like Mayweather leaving Top Rank or be a disaster like Warrington joining Matchroom

Don't think it's anything to do with him leaving Matchroom as personally I think it's the best option for his career as there's so many potential fights available for him with Boxxer, think it's more the manner it's been done. Whoevers at fault, it doesn't need to be like be done like it was.

The issue in boxing is that the "managers" want to control the belts and thus the money. So you end up with the Eddie's of world not caring about the best fight (ie look at AJ)

Adam Catterall once again a great interview from you. Honesty; asks the RIGHT questions. Lawrence is his own man. From what I hear from him he is clued up and I understand what he says. However going to Sky because Sky looks after British fighters ? Might be because at the moment Sky's options are limited . It looks like they have no Adam Smith ? Dont really know what is going on with Sky ? Changing trainers from McGuigan to Sugar. This is an interesting one . To be honest Fury is the only one boxer I know that Sugar has been successful with. I know he is currently with Whittaker as well however that is it. He talks about boxing promoters and rightly so. However I still believe in my opinion Eddie Hearn is currently the BEST boxing promoter out there. Eddie has always maintained that he works for the boxers and tries to get them the most money with their short careers. If this was not the case why hasnt AJ or Taylor left ? Look at what Eddie has done with female boxing when other boxing promoters such as Warren and Arum did not want to know. Finally Adam Catterall when are you going to do a clip on Tyson Fury delaying the undisputed fight once again ?
