I've watched so many magicians that most of the time I see what about they're doing. Not everything, but I have an idea how the trick is done. With Dany, I don't have the slightest clue. The only thing I can imagine is that he's actually memorizing the deck.

So for anyone who would know--Is this something Harry Lorayne could have done for real? It's a little bit of an odd trick since it seems the audience would simply believe you have a super memory. Those that have this ability are quite amazing, but they are out there.

Is a variation of p&t trick. The additional challenge is that in this case the cut and split is done by the audience not by himself.

Yes it's correct. But it's fascinating to make people believe in an ability that you don't have ;) It's not all about having super powers.
