Such a fun experience. Customisable food, cuddly toys, spices, great service and I got to do the noodle dance…… with my clothes on thank goodness!! Lol
lots of positive comments about your dad who is so sweet and funny but i have to say your mother is so elegant, openminded and eloquent! and wow, a dentist; such respect!
I can't stop laughing throughout the entire video!!! that's so fun to watch and big thumbs up 👍 for both your dad's noodle dance and his dad jokes LOL Your mum's reactions to both are also priceless!!!

I have to apologize to you that I watched at least 20 videos until I subscribe you. But now I’m watching you every dinner with my boyfriend, to acknowledge him about Chinese food also to ease my homesick. Thank you! I’m half Guizhou 贵州half Chongqing重庆 People. I live in California now. I’m thinking of have a cooking and Culture channel.
I have been watching your videos since a few years ago as a shenzhener who lives in sydney because I missed my hometown so much😭 and suddenly you visited precisely where I am >
Look exactly like the one in houston, texas too. Including the same robotLol they must used the exact design on how the restaurant looks from chairs and table all over the world. Im surprised they try to make the same design like where it originated and to Australia to america
Being able to be together with parents, with ypur family is such a fansinating thing, maybe the best thing in the world, especially when they are getting seniorer and seniorer. I am feeling so sweet watching your family enjoying your life. And also, I am missing my parents so much. I have not been able to back home for 3 years now, can only see my parents via video calls. Missing them so much, wish to be able to accompany them before they are getting even aged.
I love traveling around China with you thanks to UA-cam. There's a Hai Di Lao here in Arcadia CA, I'll have to see if they have a big Teddy Bear to dine with me next time I'm there, haha. Happy travels Amy say hi to Jasmine as well 🤎🤎👍👍
Your father tried his best to perform a noodle dance, Miss Amy, the noodles are really dancing and trimmed into thin. Moreover, your parents really enjoyed their hotpot meal in Haidilao (海底撈). Even I haven't tried it yet, still able to try a small portion from an instant version of their hotpot.
So the Haidilao in downtown Toronto was not open yet in summer but I finally got to go today! Flew from Calgary to visit my daughter and we walked there and walked right into heaven! We were both Newbies to Hotpot and were the only non-Asians it seemed like. I usually am not like this but I almost felt like I was infected by you and talked with as much excitement as I see with you in your videos. The waiter was from Guangzhou (if I remember right) and was so happy to answer our questions and help us learn. I asked to have some of his favourites included because I wanted to play it safe yet, try new stuff. Everything was sooo good and just like I saw it in your video. In the end he even gave us fried buns (golden manitou?) with condensed milk as a gift (so yummy). We were so full in the end but so content! A great experience that we would have not had, if not for your videos!. Thank you! Oh, and we had Binfeng! I agree with you, it is so good! So much new stuff I have learned about Chinese food!
I love the video with your parents! I have to end up rewinding it at times cuz I'm so busy laughing that I miss the next part. All in all you have a lovely family
I accidentally came across your videos as I am interested in learning more about China and the people. I am super excited about Haidilao because I have been wanting to try out hot pot but wanted to make the right choice about a restaurant. I live in Calgary, Canada and saw there was a Haidilao in Toronto, where my daughter lives. It is not exactly close to her place so that was disappointing BUT, I just saw they are going to open another location in Toronto this month IN WALKING DISTANCE to her place! I will be in Toronto with my two teenagers in August! So glad that they are opening up a Haidilao 'just for me' (it seems like)! We will go there! So exciting! I also love your relationship with your parents and how at ease you seem with each other! And they raised such a wonderful daughter! Will take a look at your other videos as well (saw the one about the Hutongs). Thank you for giving us a look inside of China from your viewpoint! Oh, and I saw your boyfriend is coming from Germany (I grew up in Germany).
So good to see you and you parents so open to trying new things, more people in this world should be open to new things and ideas, great to see you promoting that!
You can also explore the unmanned breakfast cars and unmanned buses on the streets of Guangzhou. The unmanned breakfast car in Guangzhou can judge where there is a lot of people according to the heat map and go there. Many garbage bins can also judge where there are more people based on the amount of garbage.Guangzhou has a community with express express lanes, express can go directly to the home
I hardly comment on videos, I feel so shy to do so but your videos move me! So teary eyed right now from seeing so much warmth and love in your family. Your Dad is so cool and your bond with him is so beautiful, Keep keeping on, you're awesome!
OMG such crazy timing, I just got a notification on a comment I made on your last Haidilao visit TODAY!!! And thank you so much for this because I didn’t realize Haidilao was a chain outside of China and I found out there’s one in LA, and I’m SO EXCITED TO GO!!!! Once again I am commenting 3 mins in so I don’t have context for this video but so far I love it and I’m stoked to get to experience this and try the same foods as you😆😄🤤
Good to know that you tried my favorite restaurant in Sydney! One tip here - if you order a take-away, you will get a 20% discount. Same taste as dine-in, but it is way more conformable to enjoy the hotpot at home with families during the freezing winter!
I love Haidilao so much! I still can’t believe you can get your nails done at a restaurant before eating 😂 I can’t wait to eventually bring my parents to Shanghai when the borders reopen so I can show them this! (I love stealing the hair ties from here hahah)
Heyyy Amy! Peter here! It’s always great to see your parent having fun while experiencing the authentic Chinese food adventure in Sydney! Hope to see them one day in China and don’t forget, I’ll be happy to show y’all around Guangdong Province 😁

This was so precious and wholesome and might as well be one of my all-time favorite videos on UA-cam! As an Asian, this definitely reminds me that the best part of hotpot is definitely sharing it with your family
Makes me want to go there again. It's been over 6 months since I've been. I live in Shenzhen and it's always a treat to go there. Fantastic experience.

I first started watching your UA-cam because I was meant to move to china with my mum however COVID-19 happened. I was trying to learn about Chinese language courses in china because that’s what I wanted to do when I moved to Beijing/ Shanghai. But now I’ve built a life here in Sydney meeting my partner here. I still watch you videos because it makes me so happy. I love how you embrace the culture and share your experiences. Bonus your parents are amazing. They are so open and warm. They are up for anything and such a joy to watch.
I enjoyed going to HaiDiLao with you and your parents. There is one where I live and I was hesitant about it but now after watching your wonderful video I'm going to try. And I'm bringing along my family!!😄🥰😘

Haidilao should make this queen as brand ambassador 😊
Amy’s parents are so nice, supportive and open-minded
