It's the total price paid for the card. When bidders are bidding they take that BP into consideration. When negotiating for a card online or at a show most buyers and sellers know to comp sales with the BP in mind as well.

I told you how I bought 300 rookie cards of Barry Bonds for $500. It had not 1 card that was under a 7.5 the lot had 6 Johnny Ray's I still have 3 upgraded and 2 PSA 9s and 1 SGC 10. Before Summers end I will begin grading some of my multitude of slabbable cards. I haven't graded any of my personal cards because of being ethical. But I can be honest and non biased!
