Costa Maya, Mexico | Welcome to Paradise - 4K Walking Tour of Port & Trekking Toward Mahahual

Welcome to paradise! We're making port in Costa Maya, Mexico (Puerto Costa Maya). Located in the Yucatan peninsula, near Belize, this port may be small, but it is an amazing local curated specifically for cruise tourists. The entire port is designed to resemble a faux Mayan village, and comes full of shopping, food, and entertainment. Some of the entertainment is free, and includes live music and the Papantla Flyers ritual (a UNESCO cultural heritage performance). On the premium front, you have swimming with dolphins, a skywalk aviary, and, of course, your gamete of tours and excursions.
We'll be spending most of our time around port for this walk before venturing out toward Mahahual. this is the nearby town where you'll find taxis, shuttles, and beach access. It's a bit of a hike, so we'll only go partway. We will get to check out some replica Mayan ruins though. Unfortunately, if you want real ones, the closes are about a 50-minute drive away.

Yeah, the replica isn't far, but the walk into town, past that, was far longer than I had expected. I "think" you can rent bikes though, if I remember correctly.

How much was dolphin discover and where did u buy it?

We didn't go ourselves, but you can buy it directly from their website. That's about $80-$100 at the moment. You can typically buy it through the cruises as a shore excursion too, but that usually costs more.
