Btw, I started on lap steel in C6 and got ‘fluent’ with that tuning, and now I have a single neck pedal steel. Would you recommend learning E9 if I want to play ‘classic’ country or can I stuck with C6? Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. Yes most things you hear are on the E9. So I would recommend that tuning. You can get one with 10 strings 3 pedals and 1 knee lever and play a life time of music on it. We are here for you and hope you keep picking!
Check out the steel guitar forum. They have a good community and a lot of good advice there. Also Troy Brenningmeyer is a really good resource. If I could I would look at getting an older Fender lap. I always have liked the sound of those. Keep Picking!
