15mm English 100 Year War Army

- This is a 15 mm English 100 year war army representation. It is used for historical purposes and for wargaming. It is built with many different manufacturers and painted by myself, and some purchases that I made from friends that had armies for sale. I put them all together to create this beautiful representation of an English army from 1340 to 1450. The army is mounted on 80 mm Frontages And is used predominantly for Hale Caesar but we’ll try the new billhook rule set.
The army is close to 1500 figures

The one you don't remember in Yellow is Hot spur Percy and the one you said is Percy in blue is Douglas...;)
Do you know when I was making the movie I totally froze up with my knowledge it was like it never existed I just stared at the banner going holy shit I know this, but it wouldn’t come out of my mouth😂😂😂😂
I’ll be working on the French today but this time I’m going to have a book out to remember who the different people are. I won’t make that same mistake twice I guess. But I am very happy that you like the army and was hoping that you enjoyed it

Such a colorful and gorgeous army, I do like the diversity of the troops, the camp, artillery...and bases!

Simply amazing! The amount of color and detail makes this one of the most incredible you've ever done! The basing, stakes, figs, wagons and horses,just everything is, so complete .... well, seems impossible to be done and yet, there they are again! Incredible army! It's hard to literally say it's one of the best because all your work is astounding, but it is simply stunning!

I was about to say you should check out Nik's channel! He is quite inspirational and very engaging with the period. What i learned from Nik about the period is the early period you want less full field plate and more chain mail with bits of heavier plate here and there. Shields are more widely used in the earlier period because of the lack of plate mail.
He’s a super nice guy. I love his shows. It inspired me to finish these up into a cohesive army.

Stunning collection Kevin!! I would highly recommend reading Barbara Tuchman's "A Distant Mirror" which covers the experiences of the French during the 14th Century. If you have not read that you should.
A spectacular English army. I am full of anticipation for the French.
The Medieval Wargamer is excellent and an inspiration to any wargamer whatever their favourite period (mine is ancient).

It is an unbelievable army, and the French is even more spectacular. I’m not quite sure either where I found the time to do all of this, build five businesses, raise straight children take care of two houses in two different countries, and occasionally have a good cup of coffee , but somehow I was able to do that. I really love painting I guess I do that instead of watching TV or playing golf. It relaxes me I still have about 110 more videos to make I’ll get to them, but rather slowly, is there any army that you would be particularly interested in me putting up for you?
Hi Kevin, being an Englishman I have a particular interest in the English Civil War, but I too have a decent Napoleonic 15mm collection, maybe I should show it off one day?
@@matth4352 I think you should add the English Civil War is spectacular. I have two armies of those and enjoy them very much. Maybe I’ll put those out next.

Baggage and tents were so important in medieval armies and they definitely add a nice feature for gaming

@@Corvinuswargaming1444 I like making baggage and wagons. Blue moon has some nice ones but I also like battle valor games. Ed has some interesting baggage trains. He has large camps etc.
These are wonderful. I am just embarking on War of the Roses using old minifigs and Essex. I'm wondering how the scale works between so many manufacturers. Blue Moon I would think would not go well with Peter Pig. What about Corvis Belli and Merlington with others especially Minifigs and Peter Pig. Also how did you come by these figs as many are long out of production. Again simply grand.
Hi Malcolm. I had the same predicament. Not so much with the hundred year war French army that I had but the English was a real problem. I had Merlingtons, Essex, Corvus, Peter pig etc. I found a way to blend them together to make a very nice army. Peter Ppig, Corbus and mini fig fit well together. You can add Essex also to that list. Bluemoon are too large but can work in your army just keep them separate. But in reality I probably wouldn’t mix them in to your army. If you watched my French movie that one is predominantly blue moon and Merlington

Hi, yes I use for all of my Armin from the Beginning up to the seven Years war I’ve used the same basing style. I use 40mm frontage small units, 80mm for normal size units. Cavalry are also on the same system. Their depth is 60mm and the infantry 40mm.
