Amazing work! This feels like a Stratus mini-documentary and was so much fun to watch 🍿 You're right, we've got big plans for the future and you even guessed a few in the video 👀
Great job of showing the pedal in action along with your settings. I have the pedal and have been playing around with it, but I really need the help to getting to a decent setup and then tweaking that. I've got notes and snapshots of the settings from your video. Can't wait to try them out. I like the idea of a "presets" that combine various pedals for different sounds. Like "Chicago Blues", or "80's Rock", etc....you get the idea.
Love your playing & videos but Isn’t it like a slimmed down HX stomp (without amps) ? If the switch could switch between say 2 presets would be added value I think Great sounds. Great video. Great playing
@Wyldling79 How do you feel about the app only being used for set-up(downloading all the effects you want and tweaking settings) and then being able to switch them with a controller or something during a live performance?
Couldn't agree more... You either grant me the ability to connect a PC / Mac via cable and fully program all the presets or you create a usable stand-alone pedal. I will not start connecting my phone to multiple pedals and keep an app per pedal... At least it's fairly easy to spot and avoid these products.
Great sound as with any pedal you play, and a very interesting new pedal with a great form factor. Would be interesting to hear it against some other multi effects at some time
Beautifully demonstrated. I like it, I don't know if it's for me, but I like it. I think for a multi-effects unit in a pedal form I'd opt for the EHX Plethora, either an X5 or an X3. You don't get any drive options with it but you get every other EHX tone print pedal there is all in one box. Plus it's full midi, has a killer easy to use GUI on the pedal, and with the bigger X5 you even get an effects loops. I think the prices are even similar to the Stratus, for the X3 at least, the 5 is likely more. Right now my ideal minimalist board would be a Microcosm, I just got one and can't stop playing it, an X3, and a Kernom Ridge. I'm pretty sure the Kernom is going to be my next purchase.
@I.M.Guitar-Nerd really cool minimalist board. You get a lot of control and features with that set-up. Just curious what is it about stratus that isn’t for you?
Lots of people trying to convince themselves that digital is as good as a great analog tone : it’s not true ! In over 200 pedals I owned and a/b compared I NEVER heard a digital that sounded as good. In my opinion if one go for tone quality and feel, it’s ANALOG 100% If one go for a tool that propose a lot of options then digital can be considered but it never has the depth of tone and feel that analog has. Just my opinion ! both can coexist but in no fucking way digital sounds has good! By the way, if one doubt that just play a deluxe mrmomry man xo that cost 150€ max 2nd hand, and put it in front of any digital delay, even the best ones like strymon are far behind in tone! The organic tones and the feel under the finger is much better, it sounds more open and all…
So far mostly as a set-and-forget pedal! You can also save and load presets through the mobile app, but that's not super optimal for live play. We have a feature called live mode in Open Beta Testing right now! It'll make it much easier to interact with individual effects in live scenarios
I think this pedal would be a big advantage on anyone's board! It'd be good to just have for those effects that you only use once in awhile, so you dont need a pedal taking up that space and can just switch to it on this whenever you need it and then have something more convenient at other times. I am big fan of Source Audio which is a bit similar to this, so I really enjoy the idea of its flexibility!

We're working on setting up more educational content for presets. Keep an eye out!
Thank you for supporting Stratus!

Bingo! We've got a feature called live mode in beta testing currently and are exploring more functionality to help with live play
Gave up waiting on this one after 2+ years of kickstarter delays-no pun intended, and stuck with all analog. I’m glad I did.
Yeah it was way more difficult to mass-manufacture than we expected but we got there eventually! 😂 Did you back Stratus on Kickstarter?
@@officialchaosaudio I was. Had to bail, though.
Great video, however I will never buy an app-controlled pedal. I can't imagine trusting this in a live scenario.

Any pedal I need an app for is immediately disqualified. Few things I hate more than fiddling with a phone / tablet while playing.

starlight night sky reverb is nice! fantastic playing as always, thank you!

The Spark amp to play at home is like that !!!! Love mine, can play and sound like any other amp or pedal 😁. This pedal is awesome 😍!!!!
Great demo and playing. What guitar is that?
Could you have three or four on your board each loaded with a different tone? It’s unlikely that one would need more than that for a gig.
Very cool. I get the reluctance to an app controlled pedal...but not all tools need to be perfect for every job.
Beautiful tones and playing, my friend!!!
Info on that guitar and pickups please!!
Dang that sounds great.
Have you ever spotlighted Oneder pedals?

That opening lick sounded a little Cardinal Black inspired.
If I cant turn off at least one effect with just the pedal and knowing which effect that would be would I wouldnt be interested
We are becoming too dependent on smartphones.
And electricity
And municipal sewer systems
@@Clockeman I only shit in a large hole I dug myself in the back alley of a circle K
I totally agree man, my favorite days are the days I forget my phone at home when I go out🙌🏼
The smartphone created tones of needs that are secondary, and that just alienated our mind
I play to get away from my phone, but some people might love it.
You can download the app though....!o!
Pity you can't actually buy one.
R&R Sonic drive cure, new and improved but seriously if you can work and gigs work with that box 🎁🙏 and this is the ✅🎁👀🤹
