As French filmmaker Jean Renoir said, 'Every man has his reasons.' In other words, there aren't any purely good or bad guys (except maybe the Marleyan security officer who fed Grisha's little sister to the dogs). Just a group of flawed, complex characters making choices that align with their worldviews.
Ksaver is good he just saw in Zeke his son's replacement and forget all his problems he could feel, exactly the same for Zeke seeing his dad replacement in Ksaver to at least have a little bit of joy living like a normal kid. They perfectly found each other 😢
I hope you have understood Zeke's past, by having empathy for him you can try to understand his actions and how he sees the world... Not only is Levi important, in this series everyone is of enormous importance.
To say that Ksaver was "manipulating" Zeke sort of depends on your definition of manipulation, I guess. It doesn't fit mine. I think Ksaver genuinely had Zeke's best interests at heart, or at least he thought he did. Still, to put the idea in a kid's head to turn in his own parents to the police -- presumably a death sentence -- is kind of a messed-up thing to do to a kid.
Zeke is very smart, he always has been. About him being manipulated, naah, considering how he handled his childhood, and the way he grew so, it would take something seriously outrageous to outwit him, empowering him is another story (looks at levi) & a moral : it's unwise to judge someone without knowing their side of the story. preconceptions are blinding and misleading, aim for empathy and eagerness always.
A blond man who was seriously influenced by his father, giving him a life goal and a dream. To achieve his dream, he will stop at nothing, he is ready to sacrifice his comrades. He is very smart, is a strategist, and is a commander who is respected by both the command and subordinates. He also has chemistry with Levi. Does this remind you of anyone? Zeke is a copy of Erwin
you branded and hated Rainer , but after his backstory you changed your mind . You haven't seen Zeke's backstory before judging him. Zeke Yeager is one of the deep and prescribed characters in this story

Good guy? The "euthanization" (read: sterilization) plan is a monstrous plan -- to genocide his own race without their consent.
