Driving in Austria: Pyhrn Autobahn A9 E57 from Graz to St. Michael in der Obersteiermark

In this video you can drive along on the Pyhrn Autobahn (A9 E57) from the North of Graz (Gratkorn) to St. Michael in der Obersteiermark in Southern Austria. Just like the A10 Tauern Autobahn, the A9 is one of the main Autobahns to traverse the Alps.
I had never driven the A9 to its full extent until recently, all of it will be featured on the channel at some point. There is quite some construction going on and only in recent years some of the remaining single-tube tunnels have been twinned.
The A9 gets especially busy during the holiday season, explaining some of the 2x3 lanes alignment. I believe the A9 does not reach the altitudes that the more Western A10 does, but it's still quite impressive and the views of the Alps are amazing.

Nice drive, with the long Gleinalm Tunnel and the mountainous section around it, took the motorway also once, returning from Slovenia. Also took once the expressways S35 - S6 from Graz to St. Michael, it's longer but toll-free. Thanks for the video, keep them coming, greetings from a roadtripper from Germany!

Nice scenic route. Roadworks were a bit chaotic and unclear signage before the tunnel. Looks like some serious reconstruction works on that stretch. 👍

What software did you use to blur the license plates?

I just edit in FCP. It's not perfect and a ton of manual work unfortunately.
