English is not my first language. When I watch your videos, Hannah, I always end up scribbling down words that I haven't heard before, so that I can look them up later, or words haven't heard for a long time. This in itself is a real joy, just listening to someone with a fabulous vocabulary and deep knowledge of language. ❤
Hi Hannah! Pretty unrelated, but any chance you could do a video about nail care/ glue on nails? I’m a total novice and tried glamnetic nails and absolutely failed at applying them. They did look amazing! And definitely want to hone that skill. TY! Love this kind of video btw
This pillow ad came at such the perfect time! I was in dire need of one for back-sleeping training.. I’ve developed the nasty habit of stomach sleeping as of late! Terrible for my face 😂
Try getting a dachshund also. Mine all but forced me to be a back sleeper so she could nestle between my legs at night. It’s actually very comfortable now but I was a face sleeper for so many years 😂😂😂
Girl I have an 8 month old and my left shoulder is super messed up too! I am a professional cellist and started having problems playing when I had a giant belly, and the injury has never really gone away, esp carrying around an ever larger human. You may have sold me on this pillow!
Love this video. I just received my order of the Refy concealer - can't wait to try it. If you feel inspired to bust out "VICTOR" ... I have found myself using the VBB kajal eyeliner in Cinnamon - not as an eyeliner - but as a quick blown out soft eyeshadow that stays put. I swipe a little at the lash line and use the Rephr Brush #1 to softly blow it out. It is my favorite barely there but doing something eyelook... when I think of it as a long wear shadow - it's perfect.
I bought refy concealer after watching your video. And woooww I'm amazed. It is a serum concealer but it has coverage more than what I imagined. It is medium coverage and set down on the skin. It looks soooo natural on the skin but still give me enough coverage. It is one of the most amazing concealers I have tried. I use it everyday since I got it. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.
Nothing else works as well for me as the Merit Minimalist. Goes on perfectly and lasts all day - and i swear it looks even better as the day wears on. This + Refy concealer (bought it as per your recommendation and whoa, it is amazing) + Refy cream blush in Rose ... winter complexion perfection.
Lips! Yes. I love the Juvia's place in Chocolate. I received it as a gift and thought it would be too dark. It is perfect! Easy to wear and a lovely color on me.
Yes, to the Refy. Thank you for introducing me to this outstanding concealer. Finally ordered the Merit foundation. Love it! Unfortunately, they didn't send the wee blue bag, got the blush in Mood in place of. It's a raisin color, I am having struggles with it as it is dark for me. Any suggestion on how to make it work with my lighter skin? Thank you, dear.
You can "fill the blush in" with a mid colour. Kackie recently has a series about tackling problems like this, I think it's in the contrast one but I'm not too sure.
I’ve also seen paler people use a brush to pick up the product and lightly tap onto skin instead of going straight from the balm dome to cheek, even though it’s shaped so well for that the color can be too intense with the darker shades.
I always love these videos!! I really like the Merit foundation too, I need to use it more. I’ve been really into the matte Fenty foundation it’s great for my oily skin.
hannah, would love to hear your thoughts about the 2025 pantone color of the year being mocha mousse. my sister and i immediately thought of you when we saw the color, it feels very HLP-coded to us
The eyeshadow thinks of whispering indeed. I wish I could wear eyeshadow at all, but especially in winter there is eczema on my lids. So I would not mind, if my eyeshadow shouted out drunken soccer songs, I’d put it on if only I could. Instead I’m watching your great videos full of make-up poetry.
Have you ever tried the Butter London sheer wisdom serum shadows? They come in really light colors and the Mauve shade is like a whisper of purple, I wear it all the time. Also eczema prone.
One question I have about a pillow in this price range is how long it lasts. At some point I assume the foam or whatever is used to give it the shape will lose some structural integrity. How long would I get good use out of a pillow? (Of potential note, I move around a ton in my sleep and am probably harsher on pillows than average.)
Based on another of your video's I got the L'Oreal redness eraser. AMAZING. Thank you! Other ways you've improved my life: recommending Matt Bernstein's A Little Bit Fruity podcast and Burt's Bees in Red Dahlia.
I've had the exact same experience as you with my Sleep & Glow so I had to pause the vid to go buy the Aula! I have NEVER been able to sleep on my back, so wish me luck! :)
That refy lip gloss is my favorite lip balm by far. It’s the only thing that actually feels like a net positive on my super sensitive lips. Because I’m a warm undertone girlie I use sepia as my “black” lip gloss and it’s pretty great. Unfortunately you can’t travel with it, especially not to warm places. it will get so so gross in the bag - I lost a bunch of my taupe gloss that way. so I’m hoping to find something else I like as much in a better component.
Love the Robert Frost reference when talking about the face compact...and on that note could you do another Hannah Reads poetry video? ❤ I've listened to your old Robert Frost video countless times x
That Fara Homidi lip compact IS beautiful, but I've not been remotely tempted (shocking, considering what a magpie I am re: fancy packaging). Lipstick is the one thing I will *definitely* be reapplying while I'm out and about, and if I've gotta either stick my grubby lil finger into a pot and then go wash my hands, or carry (and locate/dig out of my bag) a separate lip brush? I'm out. Nooooope. At that price point, they most CERTAINLY could've done a little brush that was fully incorporated into the base and would pop/slide out with a press, or even one that snapped inside the compact in its own little bay. Like, if freaking Revlon can do it for a nine-dollar cream eyeshadow, don't tell me this is impossible for an EIGHTY-EIGHT DOLLAR product. I'll stick with Dries van Noten and Givenchy bullet lipsticks to scratch that "fanciness" itch, thx.
Why wasn’t the Rabanne Soul Kiss balm in this video? I’m curious whether you’re still loving it because it’s in my Ulta cart right now. Also, “something that whispers purple in a dream” is such a perfect description of the kind of color that suits me! I usually need the exact same shades of complexion products as you (NARS Chantilly, Salt New York N13) but I’m desaturated pale neutral-cool olive rather than desaturated pale neutral-warm olive.
I have the Fara Homidi products also. I like the complexion product but I don’t love it. You’re right, it doesn’t set as well as I’d like. It’s not as convenient to apply as the Merit stick (which I also own but don’t love, I think it’s too dry for me but will test with their priming lotion). I’m in this phase where I want to apply with my fingers and the FH compact just isn’t finger-application friendly. Also the lip: it’s very dry! It leave my lips feeling dry. I need to try it again but I am just not into that look and feel now. Also I love that it’s refillable but it is so expensive. Armani Sparkle? Adore. Would marry this. Aquaphor lip chapstick: would also marry that. It’s the best moisturizing lip product I’ve found. Wow. Westman Atelier concealer: love, but I just got Typology’s which I’m loving how it looks but not the tube component. I also got samples of the Caliray primer and a Saie Glowy Immuminator and I’ve been loving both of those. Blush I’ve been loving the Lys Satin Matte cream blush.
I don’t recall, have you tried the MUFE Step1 green primer? I’m almost out of my mini tube (which has literally taken me I think a decade to use since I bought it when I was still in uni) and I wonder how it compares to the Loreal one you’re loving right now.
on the simplest level, the blue compact is in opposition to your aesthetic, and the products inside are not to your preference either. the brand value does not carry those deficiencies
Does anyone else get knee discomfort every time they try and sleep on their back? It feels like my knees are hyperextending the wrong direction. If anyone has good solutions, I’m all ears.
@ yeah, I’ve tried that. It doesn’t really work for me because I kind of need it rolled up for it to be both short enough and tall enough to get rid of that funky feeling. And it doesn’t stay that way.
As both a person who abhors anything with “even a whisper of purple” on her eyes and an owner of Still at the Club, can confirm that it has a rosy undertone (on my skin, which is neutral). Purple adjacent, mayyyybe, but definitely NOT **shudders** purple.
It’s so odd. I see your thumbnails and I have no desire to watch the video but at some point I will watch reluctantly and every time I find myself enthralled with your words and content. The thing I wish for you is being able to portray the depth of your content in three words on your swipe by thumbnail ❤
I always love these videos!! I really like the Merit foundation too, I need to use it more. I’ve been really into the matte Fenty foundation it’s great for my oily skin.
Omg she's not just decluttering, she's dissecting!' Someone stop this beautiful and insightful woman
nooooo we must allow her to continue cooking!!
SOMETHING THAT IS NOT EVEN WHISPERING PURPLE IN A DREAM. This is why we love you.
A sentiment matched in vibes and lyricism ONLY by Joe's infamous contribution of "The Sundays Never Had" et al.

**me dealing with sleep and pain issues**: time to pay meticulous attention to the makeup poet's pillow journey.
Having a “no thank you” category is so “mom of one year old” coded. Love it.
Omg yes. My sister says this to her kids all they time when they are doing something annoying 😂
Hi Hannah! Pretty unrelated, but any chance you could do a video about nail care/ glue on nails? I’m a total novice and tried glamnetic nails and absolutely failed at applying them. They did look amazing! And definitely want to hone that skill. TY! Love this kind of video btw
Seconding this!
thirded!
Yesss! Also, I keep singing "New makeup, hot takes. New makeup, hot takes" to myself. It cheers me, but my children are very confused.
SAME, I do this every single time I get a new cosmetic thing in the mail and excitedly husk it out of its packaging. :)
"Whispering purple in a dream"🤣😂
"an extraordinary product for turning your brows into bramble patches"
A really perfect Hannah-ism.
🤣🤣
My name is Hannah & I'm a Writer...Ugh, I'll say it in January!!! 😂 Literally dissecting Julia Hungry...Hannah is Deep, & the play on Words! 🤩
a delightful makeup tour and also literally the first thing I thought when I pressed play was "ooh, cute 90s vibes" :D
I adore your words, perhaps more than your reviews. Thank you ❤
Hannah! I got my library to order Julia, Hungry! I was so glad they said yes, and I have it on hold. :)
This pillow ad came at such the perfect time! I was in dire need of one for back-sleeping training.. I’ve developed the nasty habit of stomach sleeping as of late! Terrible for my face 😂
Same. Ive been thinking about it for years.
Try getting a dachshund also. Mine all but forced me to be a back sleeper so she could nestle between my legs at night. It’s actually very comfortable now but I was a face sleeper for so many years 😂😂😂
The ready gloss is so good. The clear one give such high shine too!
For the Farah Homidi product, at that price point it should blow everything else out of the water!
I don't get it at all. The packaging looks so much like my little pony make up or Polly pocket or something. And then the finger dip requirements. No.
@@beatdizzy That style of packaging has become really trendy lol.
And the LIP PRODUCT is the same price! That was what put me off of the entire line immediately.
how did I refresh UA-cam at exactly the right time!!!
Girl I have an 8 month old and my left shoulder is super messed up too! I am a professional cellist and started having problems playing when I had a giant belly, and the injury has never really gone away, esp carrying around an ever larger human. You may have sold me on this pillow!
I can't stop hearing about the rhode blushes.. really tempting!
Oh man. That pillow seems ideal for me. But holy smokes, quite out of my price range. Hopefully someday!

I thought Rhode Sleepy Girl would become my holy grail, but it goes orange on me, as most things that aren’t a cool-toned mauve do on me - wah wah wah
Just got expensive news from the plumber. I soo needed this!
I am about to get braces and couldn't thank you more for putting us onto the sleep and glow pillows! Gonna need one...

This hair on you is PERFECTION
As a redhead, I totally agree with the redhead revolution mascara! It’s the best, and I’m glad you turned me on to it.
Have you tried lip butters from Eadem? They have beautiful dark brown shade, I think you’d love it.
Yes, to the Refy. Thank you for introducing me to this outstanding concealer. Finally ordered the Merit foundation. Love it! YESSSS I NEEDED THIS TODAY
I need to tell you my coaches coat came from aritizia and it is glorious
Hi Hannah, I thought you got the Phytosurgence lip balms....if so, are you planning to comment at all on how you get along with them?
The eyeshadow thinks of whispering indeed. I wish I could wear eyeshadow at all, but especially in winter there is eczema on my lids. So I would not mind, if my eyeshadow shouted out drunken soccer songs, I’d put it on if only I could. Instead I’m watching your great videos full of make-up poetry.

Hannah! I agree, the Fara Homidi- just doesn’t make it to my face, too! It is Vaseline !
Thank you for saying this!
I have to declutter!! ❤🙏
I can't stand a sticky feeling on the skin. Unfortunately so many products do that. I guess I need to try the Refy concealer. 🤭
Dissection!?!? Fabulous!

I remember when you got the original pillow, I was thinking about that when observing my own sleep smushing wrinkles!
That more grey shadow does pull purple on you in the video. I think it looks nice!
I've had the exact same experience as you with my Sleep & Glow so I had to pause the vid to go buy the Aula! I have NEVER been able to sleep on my back, so wish me luck! :)
I was just considering the Aula pillow! I’m a back sleeper and I was wondering if it was worth the investment.

NUANCE. LIGHT OLIVE. MUDDY.

Me listening to the pretty lady 😸🧐🥺🤔😍😌

By not saying it, you said it. I see what you did there Hannah.
I'm allergic to an ingredient in the refy concealer :( so if anyone can recommend an alternative i am all ears!!
Hi!! 👋
Does anyone else get knee discomfort every time they try and sleep on their back? It feels like my knees are hyperextending the wrong direction. If anyone has good solutions, I’m all ears.
Try putting a pillow under your knees. It will help with that issue and also take pressure off of your back.
@ yeah, I’ve tried that. It doesn’t really work for me because I kind of need it rolled up for it to be both short enough and tall enough to get rid of that funky feeling. And it doesn’t stay that way.
