You have no idea HOW UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY I AM to see that you also do Power BI tutorials. You were my bread and butter for VBA when I started working and you helped me tremendously with my work and reviews. I have to start learning Power BI now, and you best bet I ran here first before trying any other office training!
Thanks so much! I hope you find this one useful too! To be honest, Power BI has changed so much since starting this series that it could really do with being replaced with completely new videos. I think that you might find the DAX for Power BI series useful tooua-cam.com/play/PLNIs-AWhQzclPj5BGcckuyrOVqRD-7rIX.html&feature=shared Thanks for watching!
I already knew you are an excellent instructor because of your VBA series. And with this series you've done a great job again. Although PBI has changed a lot with the interface and features (we are now in '23), you still deliver great content. I took a PBI course that cost almost 1000 euros - it didn't cost me any money because of a government grant - but I learned much more from just this video than from the whole course I took. And this was just the intro! So it's easy to donate. Thank you!
Thank you so much for all of your tutorials! Watched most of your SQL series and it's incredible. Look forward to Power BI. To have your work as free tutorials is a great gift to humanity - can't imagine the number of people who have benefited. Hope karma brings you something good in return....
I watched and followed your SSRS tutorials for a long time. Started looking into Power BI, saw the Wise Owl had a PowerBI series and I knew I had to watch them. Very very good and helpful as usual. Thanks for doing this!!
Awesome tutorials man, I love your VBA tutorials. Im learning Power BI now for work, so Im glad you're doing a series on it. Could you do a video on advanced power query editing/data modeling?
Just started learning Power BI and your tutorial is just amazing ! User friendly, easy to follow and practice along and clearly very helpful. I have practiced on some of your other videos on SSIS and SSRS so thank you so much for a great guidance and lesson ! keep up the good work !
Thank u so very for this series... Hopefully you will take us till advanced....Really happy to learn through your videos...Am big fan of your voice...God Bless you.
Way too late of course, but for the 'Success' and 'Success2' columns could have been named "Awarded''. As always, your tutorials are excellent and, more importantly, clear. Thank-you.
Mode of explanation is awesome and precise thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge... one request would be please set Zoom percentage to 120 so it will ease for viewing data...
48:00 haha, not only did you misspell color you misspelled visualization. You forgot the zed, I mean zeee.... Just kidding aroud Andrew, great video sir. Can't wait to hear the comments on movies categorized as terrible like Twilight.
In the Working With Maps section, "dots" aren't showing up when I add it to the map following your example. I am using a later Power BI version than the one in this video, but I did select "Country" as a category back when you selected "Country/Region" in yours, as "Country/Region" wasn't an option for mine. I am not sure what I could be doing wrong, or what kind of setting as to why the visual isn't showing on the Map.
Hi that's strange. I'm currently working with this version of Power BI Version: 2.102.683.0 64-bit (February 2022) The Map visual is working normally in this version for me. There is a security setting you could check in File | Options and settings | Options | Global | Security | Use Map and FIlled Map Visuals
@@WiseOwlTutorials So apparently I do not have that option in the settings. That is why I wasn’t able to do it. It is my work computer that I was doing this exercise, and it was the version of Power Bi from September 2021. I am not sure if that setting became available afterwards in version updates, or if it’s somewhere else. I did not see it anywhere in the settings.
@@brand1974 Hi, I'm not sure. The map visuals in PBI require communication with Bing Maps - if you're using a work computer it's possible that this communication is blocked for security reasons.

Hi Andrew! I hope you are doing great! I have a question that I'm sure you can help me out with. Would there be a way to have my Dashboard being updated automatically by being linked to a file on Dropbox? So, if I make a change on the dropbox file, the Dashboard will be updated every time I access it.

@@WiseOwlTutorials I'm glad to hear that! I'm doing fine too! I'll take a look into this. I also tried setting up a Personal Gateway, but that seems to have issues when trying to refresh my dataset.
@@WiseOwlTutorials If I get it working properly I'll let you know! But for now I haven't been able to solve this Gateway issue.
