Hi Loves!
This is hands down the most ambitious DIY project I’ve ever done! Follow along as I show you how I DIY’ed my wedding dance floor (even clips from the morning of my wedding)!

Absolutely amazing! I tried doing this for my wedding and gave up, I finally got just the decal with our monogram and placed it on the floor but it turned out great. Thank you for sharing

I'm looking for a venue for trad in South Jersey! If you don't mind sharing the name, that would be great (or private messaging if there's any issue with saying it publicly) because time is money and it's not easy tracking down which venues allow outside caterers lol!

Super helpful video ! Did you place the white vinyl on flooring that was already provided with the venue or was it a clip on Flooring ? Also was it stressful to remove it because on my contract we can’t place anything on the floor but if it’s removable I’m not too worried about it but I’m very skeptical if it leaves any residue or tears the ground.
The wood floor came with the venue, it wasn’t clip on. I was definitely worried at first, but I talked to the company where I got the floor vinyl from and this is literally the same ones the professional companies use (they just print designs on it). By the end of the night we literally just pulled it up like a giant sticker or vinyl lining for cabinets. No residue was left! I can vouch for the one I used, but definitely look for the key words I listed in the video if you try another one. Thank you for watching!

Lol yes please watch it again 😉. I linked the vendors I used on Ali in the description box. I can't speak for ALL vinyls, but the one I linked is specifically for temporary floor decor for pop up shops and conventions. It came right off like a giant sticker. No residue! Definitely check your venues policies, but most allow for floor wraps/floor vinyl because it is used so often for events. If you do it I want to see pics/video please! 😍

Hi! Super helpful video! What size and type of squeegee did you use? Does it matter what kind I get? Do you remember where you purchased yours from?
Hi! It was so long ago I don’t remember the brand, I’m sorry. I ended up giving them to the venue because I was flying back and couldn’t carry it on a plane with me lol. I would say the bigger the size the better because you want to use it to push air bubbles out of the vinyl. The smaller it is the more you have to swipe it across and the longer it can take. I would check Home Depot or a similar hardware store. You can either try the handheld ones or the larger type that has a long handle like a broom to push/smooth it across the floor. Our dance floor is only 15x17' but I'm trying to plan for how many people and hours I need ahead of time
Hmm it’s been a while but from what I remember we didn’t even have access to the venue until about 10am and my event started at 3pm, but by the time I left at 12 for my makeup the floor was done already (but we were all sweating like crazy lol). I would definitely give yourself as much time as you can! Thanks for watching.

Hi! I ordered the letter design, but it comes in pieces and you have to lay it out in a way that you want. Does that make sense?
Can you please tell me if I’m suppose to overlap the edges ? Do I need anything else besides the Squeegee and razors ?
You can overlap if you want to! It’s best to try and get each piece as close to each other as possible. Before pulling the back of the sheet off to reveal the sticky part, you can lay it down and see how it looks before sticking. If it overlaps it doesn’t impact how it looks too much. Hope that helps. Let me know if you try it. 💕

How was your experience with it.
We were dancingggggg and nothing peeled. I was anxious about it but when I tell you the guys were jumping up and down in the air and when were dancing in stilletos and it didn't peel. If I do remember correctly there were a few small black streaks at the end of the night from some heel marks, but no rips or peels and our reception was from 3pm to midnight.

Does anyone know how this product will do on plywood that is just wood with no coating, sealant, or paint? Also, does anyone know how this holds up outdoors/ in strong sunlight, rain, and temp fluctuations?
I provided the link for where I got the floor vinyl. I would reach out to the company. I would try a sample first on different textures and in the elements before you order the whole thing. In my head I feel like the vinyl could stick better if there is no sealant or paint, but then if it isn’t a smooth surface you might have air bubbles. I’m not an expert and this is a DIY so hopefully a sample can answer your questions😅
