Suga really has it all musically. Sometimes his soothing singing voice gets forgotten because his rap is so powerful, his lyrics are so meaningful, his musicianship is top, & his production skills are out of this world.
I think he has such a good musical ear that he always chooses the voice he wants to hear for each song, even if that means he doesn't sing on as many songs as the others do. But. He also knows when he wants to be the one to deliver the vocals & if that means he takes additional vocal training, that's what he does.
I have always loved his rap & lyrics of course, but I adore his singing voice. Maybe it feels kind of like a treasure, because you don't get to hear it all the time. But when you hear it, he shines. 💜
My favourite soft youngi is SNOOZE my comforting go to with 0 O' CLOCK.

Yoongi's cardigan game this era was epic, and he and IU have a charming, affectionate friendship that really comes out when she interviews him on her show "Palette". He sang his heart out on the D-Day tour, often playing a guitar signed by all the members, and his song "People" (effectively part 1) is one of my favourites. On his show Suchwita he frequently speaks about the impact of COVID: the MOTS7 World Tour was cancelled bit by bit and he ended up at his parents', struggling to process the enormity. I hope you can react to some of the concerts at some point; apart from some genuinely excellent production aspects, fantastic if mystifying short films and some great guest appearances later on, it shows him finally content. 💜

Unlike other songwriters Yoongi is quite open about where the song came from. He doesn't often put it at the end of the song... but he'll tell about in interviews, articles, livestreams, etc. Others hide and obscure things. Not Suga. And most of the songs he writes for himself are about him. He also writes and produces for others so those aren't always directly from or about him. But Agust D? That's Yoongi unfiltered. Of course we are all free to relate to the song and interpret it for ourselves and what it means to us. He even likes hearing that. But if you want to know where it came from.... Yoongie usually tells us.

Suga said on an episode of his show 'suchwita' that people misinterpret him as scary or mean, when in reality, he's a soft guy who gets excited over little things like puppies and kittens. He said that he wants to show his more softer side now that he's older. He said he wants to let go of his anger. Even his friends have said that over the years, his face has even changed from scary to soft. Suga also mentioned that he was never mad or angry but that his face just looked that way, and he never understood why people saw him as scary. You can see in the way he treats the members and just people in general that he's one of the kindest people ever. Even the members said that he loves/ cares for them the most. 💜

BET Awards really should be inviting b/c with BTS and others there is some mind and earblowing talent that takes you back to all the R&B greats.
SUGA really lets us into his life in his songs. His early life wasn't easy. His parents didn't understand his love of music. They had the best intentions for him but went about it the wrong way alienating him from them. He loves his parents and they seem to have worked through their problems. He didn't have the unconditional love a child should've had but now that they have seen that he was right they support him. This is what I have gleaned from what he has said and from his songs.

Been following BTS for almost 2 months. I'm 62 and I just love them all but right away Suga became my favorite I've cried at his hardships and pain and have laughed at his antics, He has been through so much and is such a gentle sou(he would deny it of course)l and has great love for his family, bandmates and Army.. it didn't take long to see that he truly cares , all you have to do is watch where he takes the younger members under his wings and gives them advice and is there for them when they need him. All of BTS are the same giving, and loving despite what they have gone through in their lives I admire their strengths Wish I had followed them sooner, they have brought music and dancing back into my life and for that fact alone I will love them forever.💜💜

2 months ago my I came across the met gala on the internet and I saw a group called stray kids I asked my sis if she had seen it and she is a fan of them and bts and many other groups because of her kids. She is a walking encyclopedia of BTS facts and figures my favorite song permission to dance. I'm learning more everyday and I have so much to catch up on.. been stressed out more lately(who hasn't?)their funny antics make me laugh I find them fascinating.. If someone had said to me you're gonna be listening to rap in 2024 I would have laughed..I like Suga's rap and the stories behind them..thanks for asking.

Our boys were HURTING. They were suppose to go on tour that year, and when Covid happened, the entire tour was cancelled. There is a heartbreaking video of them being told that, and you can see the hurt in their faces. Yoongi often says that performers need concerts, need to be onstage to truly thrive, and so losing the whole tour and feeling like they disappointed ARMY hit them hard.

The significance of covid it halted what was to be a huge world tour. Mma 2019 was a taster to get fans excited for the tour.. They had spent a large fortune on the sets for the award show ( just hiring the giant led screens was millions) but that was supposed to be earned back in the tour. Big Hit broke even roughly 2017( they had been on the verge of bankruptcy) so time line it 2019 MMA Covid hit Asia roughly 2020. BTS are not just employees of BIG HIT HYBE. They own voting shares. Its a private company. They are part owners with voting rights. As covid stretched on and they knew they had enlistment looming..... historically idol groups lost support when they disappeared from the public eye. So they were looking at 2 long breaks. Yes their intelligent response to this and their efforts during covid has kept their relationship with ARMY going but Suga describes being so down he actually crawled into bed with his parents and wept. It seemed as if all that hard work and punishment to their health and their bodies could have been gone overnight. BTS has never taken their success for granted. They have never been able to predict or really internalise their impact. RM still sees himself as an ordinairy person who has worked hard and had unfathomable luck.
