Historic Copenhagen stock exchange in Denmark partly collapses after fire breaks out

- A major blaze has torn through the historic stock exchange building in Copenhagen, toppling its famous 400-year-old spire.
More than 100 firefighters tried to battle the fire after it broke out on Tuesday morning.
Some passersby joined emergency services to rush inside the burning building to rescue paintings and other valuable artefacts stored inside.
There were no reports of injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused the blaze.

Just in France two churches were destroyed by flames in the past month .. almost 1000 acts of vandalism against churches every year. Notre Dame was their best coup.

That spire was a whimsical spiral stunning piece of history very Danish, almost unicorn mermaid like folkish unlike any building in the world. And yes this building has like Noter Dame been attacked by radical arsonist not from Europe. Mass deportations needed!

That spire was hideous, I will not miss it.
I was so saddened to learn of the spire's destruction. I was quite captivated by the dragon spire when touring Copenhagen last September and then from our Copenhagen hotel last October during a return visit.
