August 1999, our oldest son who wasn't due until October, came into this world via emergency c-section. I was awake, numbed from the waste down with a sheet to divide me from the doctors and nurses working frantically to save him. I began to get nauseous at the thought of knowing I was being cut open, so my husband asked if they could turn on a radio for me. This song was playing on the radio. Then came our 4lb. baby bird, who fit so perfectly in his daddy's palm. Fast forward nearly 21 years. He graduated high school, went to directly into the US Navy, and has seen more of this beautiful world than I could hope for. ❤

When I took the time to listen to the song I learned how much Ricky Martin expressed the emotions to successfully sing this song...I have loved it ever since 1998.
