Spearfishing Hogfish in shallow water June 2024

Spearfishing for Hogfish out of St. Pete. 2 drops. Unfortunately I missed the first part of the first drop because the gopro mount was loose and was pointed straight down after I hit the water. So I cut the majority of the first drop out, up until I fixed the camera.

That's a scamp goofball. I spearfished commercially for years and I invite you to send this to the FWC for review.

I researched the video and see why you think it's a gag because you can't see his tail or yellow mouth well but it is definitely a scamp. If you pause the video you can see it and I have the pictures to prove it from that day.
