In hindsight, the best decisions in my life were made by going all in on something without worrying or caring about the possible negative outcomes. Burning the metaphorical ships is a great way to flip a switch in your brain and skip past all the worrying and hurl yourself straight into action. Another banger Kendall!
My safety net or plan B is joining the military. And I feel it makes the opposite effect for me, because I know I have something If everything else fails. That's what allows me to take risks in my projects because I know that at least I know that I will not be a hobo and have the paranoia that doesn't let me go further in my career.
That’s great man and I love that perspective because in my eyes you’re still going all in. Of course there will always be things to fall back on no matter what you’re doing, all that matters is that you give everything you have. Keep grinding brother, thanks for this comment!
Hernan Cortez is from the 16th Century. Tariq Ibn Ziyad landed on the shores of Visigothic Hispania, burned the boats and gave a famous speech in 711 AD. That's where the idiom of burning boats/ships comes from.
Kendall, you mentioned graduating from college, but you didn't specify your field of study. Also, what motivated your decision to move to Florida? It's known for being expensive, with a large retiree population and limited opportunities for young people to find well-paying jobs.
Wait, are you leaving your parents to live on your own? Or are they kicking you out? I ask because I hope you are not gonna be homeless. Are you gonna be homeless? You talked about finding a house 😮. It’s fine to go all in and not have a plan B if that’s what gets you going but please have at least a safety plan for a worst cast scenario. Anyway, I hope all is good. I get the big picture of this video so I am exited to see your journey.
I’m leaving my parents it’s a mutual separation. I won’t be homeless, I’m just going to be moving to a new city with no long term housing plan. Basically just gonna be figuring it out as I go. But just need to get on my own two feet after finishing school and I’m excited for it.

Beautiful quote. Reminded me of another one I’d heard along the lines of “A man is the most free when his choices are limited.”
