- Dave Penton, IWI and ATM co-founder, describes how to transition from a Lautner edge (perimeter overflow) to a vanishing edge. In this project, the transition involved an in-pool spa, pool steps and modular dry steps next to the vanishing edge wall. As he demonstrates, the key to making it all work is in the precise execution of the corner detail where the two dramatically different edge treatments come together, creating a seamless visual transition within the daring water-in-transit design.

Anyway I can get in contact with you? My company is starting our first Lautner edge pool in a couple weeks and I would like to discuss some things like basin width and how your deck cantilevers over.
Hey Michael - do you want to contact Dave Penton or someone else at Watershape University? Send us your email and we can schedule a call.
Looks sick! But how do you heat that spa up to 104 with the pool water flushing into it?
This vessel has 2 heaters and has no problem heating the water up to 104
What plaster is that?

Nice look to the transition
Thanks for watching John
Really neat seeing so many termination details in one project. Interested to see more examples like this in the slot & vanishing edge class in Vegas!
Thanks for watching Jeff and noted for Vegas. :)
