I think this might have been my favorite trail of the trip. It wasn't hard, but the scenery was probably the best, and the trail has some optional obstacles that kept things interesting.
I think we might have said that about 100 times. Also realized later that it could be even more amazing in the fall when the leaves change colors but haven't yet fell off the trees.
It's a beautiful setting for sure. When you look at how the rivulets feed the main creek it's probably a safe bet that you could drink the water straight from the source especially if you see it flowing out of sand and rock formations. The natural filter is the purest. I bet that area is breathtaking when it has its green Spring coat on. Happy Wheeling.
