"Terror in the Attic" is hands-down one of my all-time favorite horror stories. What makes it so gripping is how real it feels, like you’re hearing someone recount an experience they’d rather forget. The balance of humor and sheer terror kept me on edge the whole time. The way the story unfolds, especially when Jacob describes seeing those creatures in the attic, sent chills down my spine. It feels like one of those ‘you wouldn’t believe it happened unless you were there’ moments. This one definitely left me checking my own attic!
There is no way in hell that guy saw two werewolves in the attic and then stood there and had a whole conversation with his wife discussing what they are.
Okay, so the 1st story, I kinda feel like I can believe this guy. When I was younger, my dad was a carpenter specializing in hardwood floors, & he would take me out on jobs with him from time to time. So, I learned some of the terminology, which includes the term tongue-in-groove, which is commonly used to refer to fitting two objects together with one piece having a tongue joint & the other a groove joint. So, knowing that, I feel like it lends his story a modicum of credibility, as he at least knows what he's talking about when it comes to his job. As for the beasties, I feel like it was a fledgling pack of Dogmen, really. The way one only got aggressive when he raised his voice leads me to believe that this was just an animal defending their young, & if the fumes weren't an issue, the encounter could've been much bloodier than it was. I'm glad things worked out in the end for both creature & human alike.
Great stories! Especially the first two. The uncle in the second story got scared using a truck stop restroom. I always get scared, just stopping at a truck stop on the interstate. The first story was intense. I wish more stories were long like that one.
Oh man did I die with laughter!!!!!!!!!! it was the first comment that popped up when I clicked the video, and I don't think it could be any more perfect 👌👌👌👌
I find the idea of a dogman with a stripe of paint that makes it look like a giant skunk, 🦨 absolutely hilarious! It’s a family, too! A part of me thinks, how cute! 🥰 The other thinks, dang, they’re breeding! 😳
Just got Phantom Phenomenon delivered!!! I have several books released by Darkness Prevails and can't wait to read this one. Sad I didn't make it as one of the first 100, but I'm glad they are so popular and have so many purchases.
I know the truck drivers were thankful they had a triple digit truck & were able to escape! That feat would be hard to pull off in most of today's governed semis. Oh & the content & narration are superb, as usual ❤

I'm ashamed to say this, but I am guilty of welding on galvanized metal with no protection, painting dangerous varnish in an enclosed room with no ventilation, and by myself.. I did pass out, for God knows how long? At least 12 hours.. I'm still alive, and I am pretty healthy.. thank God I have lived as long as I have. This happened 20 years ago, and I am now 57...
No, over already! Dam! Great stories! Cant help but laugh about the warewolf looking like a giant skunk! 😅😅😅 Hope the pup's were ok after breathing in those fumes.
Washington state is huge. No one is going to hear a random story that takes place in the state and automatically assume it took place in Forks because of Twilight and track it down to the author. That's honestly silly.
It's hard to believe the first first story with all the rookie mistakes he made despite having the business for a while. As someone who does this for a living, he's got me shaking my head in disappointment lol
That guy wouldn't have lived long enough to tell the story if he had actually sprayed varnish like that in an enclosed space like an attic without protection.
It’s so nice to hear more stories from WA State!🌲And oh btw, Spokane is pronounced, Spo-CAN.😊And just throwing it out there, my sister submitted her story in 2020. It was the one titled, “The Shadowy Figure.”
Why didn’t the guy let the family of werewolves go without spraying the cancerous varnish substance? They were just looking for shelter and they had puppies
I have a personal request. I would like to share fictional stories on dark stories but wanted to see if you would be okay with it. I’m becoming an author and I want to see what people think of my stories
Your podcasts are my addiction. Screw horror movies these podcasts are way better and are actually scary because of how unpredictable they are. Horror movies are easily predictable so all the scary is just not there so they are too boring to watch
I'm gonna be honest i feel bad for op in the 1st, but at least you're wife was with you on the phone. Though any person who works retail gets my sympathy low pay barely any respect. That's a horror story in its own.
I'm sorry but some of these stories I can't get into. Your looking at a family of werewolves and your having calm conversation with your wife about how the windows work.
Omg that first story was amazing! Thanks a lot Darkness for a new episode of Tales from the break room and great thumbnail as always, spooky season is almost here and I'm so excited! XD
I live in Missouri I was hunting one morning and it was so quiet you can hear a pin drop out of know where I heard the most evils howler think I came across Missouri howler it felt like it was right beside me I got up walking back to my truck I heard the howler all the way back to my truck

I find you annoying. If you can’t just relax and enjoy the story, who cares what it’s called? It’s called cabin in the woods because it literally takes place in _a cabin in the woods!_ If you just relaxed it would have all made sense. I’m glad I could spoil it for you.

Didn't he have the air suit on? As he inflated it to seem bigger.
Some people like to comment even when they don’t pay attention.
@@DamedGhostStory He took the helmet off. Which is the most important part of those suits.
@DrunkSamurai No, He kept it on otherwise when he turned his air flow higher it would of deflated instead of trying to make himself look bigger
He says he put it back on and put the cord through the suit.

Something about terror in the attic guy irritates my soul
I love all of your story. Thats why I created a content like this. thank you.
Terror in the attic has me wondering what kind of stories those creatures are telling their friends and puppies about humans.
Dang that first story had plenty of preamble. 15:00 us where he gets to the point
IKR. And when it does start I’m not sure I even believe it
He said he was asked to give a better background from the guy he worked with.
Good night darkness prevails
