I love your channel! I also put ALL plants into semi hydro even Hoya and string of hearts, and scindapsus. plants in soil in my house means death sentence for them 😅 I just can’t do soil 😂 it’s so refreshing to connect with someone who also uses pon and semi hydro! ❤️
Aw thank you sm! 🥰🫶🏽 the only way I’ve been able to get a scindapsus to grow in semi-hydro is by planting it with a golden Pothos lol it works for now! 🌱
Love the plants! 🌱 For begonias If you want in semi hydro I just chop and prop in water then transfer in pon in works much better! I have lots of begonias in soil and some in perlite/fluval and they love both 🥰 hopefully it still works for you sometimes the soil roots like the rot 😩
With the SOT I bought one that looked similar to yours. I turned it upside down, took off all the soil then placed it on a mix of tree fern fibre mix with pon. That layer was only about 1cm thick and under that I have a self watering semi hydro set up. It's doing really well. Good luck 🥀
I propagated my string of turtles into perlite and also straight into pon. That way you don't need to transfer it from moss to pon with all the fine roots. It doesn't love the pon though. I keep a reservoir at all times and I think it appreciates a wet dry cycle. The leaves look too full of water and washed out
Hi i love your channel and energy. I was going to tell you that i have been using great white mycorrhizae and tps one for straight semi hydro transfers and it has yet to fail me. Its healthy bacteria that eats the soil roots. I do have to pull the old soil roots out of the pon after about 2 weeks to a month but by that time my Alocasia have exploded with new roots. Just wanted to share with you. 😊
@@aprilbrooksohhh I have it! Didn’t know I could mix with water!!!! I’ll be doing that from now on! Haven’t used it since I thought I was supposed to dip it and stick it into soil to propagate as per instruction 😅 thank you for the tip!❤
Welcome back Mama! 🎉 This video was awesome. Because I have the same or similar plants. Have you transferred a Philodendron Florida green, or squamiferum to semi-hydro? 📌Will purchase some of your growth hormone. To help my probogation. 💛🌱
That plant had a large corn in soil you got rid of. Not sure if you went back and checked.. Corms are easy to grow This is my first time on your page, thanks for sharing
I bought some large plants that i did not want to transfer to LECA, with the risk of losing them. All 3 are in soil & now, I am fighting Gnats which i dont deal with in LECA !!! I may have to cave in & try to set them up into LECA. Wish me luck!!
You got Alocasia corns inside your soil
I saw that too
i didn't even peep 👀

Yes! Was just about to suggest the same :)
I will be chopping the begonia today bc the roots definitely look like they’re gonna rot 😅
@ they will do so much better! I love propagating begonias so easy! Can even prop from leaves just takes little longer 🌱✨
@@aprilbrooks they love being fertilized regularly too!
Hola. Yes. Angel wings Begonias do great propagating in water and also I keep them in water. Beautiful plant btw 👌

That’s such a good idea! I haven’t used perlite in sooo long, I need to get a better one because the perlite I have is EXTRA dusty 😅
Omgosh I have been dying to see a new video!❤❤❤
Stop ittt ☹️🫶🏽 this made my night! 🌱
Hi April. Long time, guess you’ve been. Glad to see whatever you’re showing.
Happy to be back!! 🥰🌱🫶🏽

Thank you! 🥰 yes I have transferred a Squamiferum a couple months ago and it’s doing extremely well! Good luck with your propagations 🫶🏽🌱
