This song reminds me of my mom. She had Alzheimer's, and passed away in December. She would say she wanted to go home (even if she was home, because she wanted to go back to her childhood home) and she would say she had lost all her family (her parents and aunts and uncles had all passed away prior). And then there were times when she would look at us, and not know who we were. I can't help but cry when I hear this.

This song really hits me. I was taken away from my parents for 10 months, and every day I would listen to this. It helped me remember that I would get back home. And now I’m home again. But this song still hits me hard. Thank you for helping me. Without this song, I’d probably never have seen my parents again.

It's funny how this song keeps popping up in my life, and it has taken on so many meanings for me over the years...
I have loved the Cruxshadows since 94 and seen them many times. I am glad that Rogue has taken the chances to explore different aspects and corners though I have not always felt it I always respect the passion put into it. But I am so so so happy to say this sounds like home to me. It sounds like The Cruxshadows that I fell in love with and played the hell out of.
Brilliant track, crosses genre, they are excellent live, as an old rock geezer that saw them in Sheffield this year, I don't understand why they are not more popular.

they are at dragon con and I think something in New Orleans these days. I actually saw them live once when dancing ferret discs still were around (2007/2008) during the immortal tour, but I would love to see them again. my mom and I were talking about this the other day and the fact that the goth scene has "died" or because the community is so spread out across a wider area than the EU. I've also noticed that Germany has a huge gothic following even these days. It's just my guess though through my own observations. since i get mistaken for an emo person vs a proper goth these days.
They are some of the nicest artists you will ever meet. Saw them live in salt lake city, UT 2 times both at a small venue probably 10 years ago. They stayed after the show to meet who came individually and to make sure everyone got an autograph. I know a of my friends have been in touch with Rogue on a regular basis. Rogue has told them Cruxshadows more than likely will not be in the U.S. anytime soon......Not enough fan base in the US
Jenifer Simondi Where are they from? God I stopped listening to them after 2002. I got 2 albums from them that I bought at Suncoast back in the day. Then I looked up the song that got me into them (Tears) and I found this UA-cam.

At Dragon Con 2018, I attended the panel that described the ordeal that Rogue went through to produce this video. This is one of my favorite songs on the album Astromythology. I've been a fan ever since I first heard Marilyn My Bitterness played at a Dragon Con concert some years ago.

I believe on the 3rd orbit around the fire is Rogue's daughter. The 3rd orbit around our sun is our home, Earth. It's like he's saying his daughter is his home. Very moving.

im not sure if they have a patreon,but you should check out ther facebook or official website, buying a physical copy of there albums or official merch will also spport and help them.

I don't know if this is Goth music or really good EDM like stuff but I got into your music back when I was 18 or 19. I was working in some office desk job and this girl next to me ket me plug my headphones into her CD player and that's when I heard Tears. Fell in love and bought that CD and the one that was released after that. HOW ARE YOU NOT OUT THERE??? OR WITH OVER 6K SUBSCRIPTIONS?! This song is amazing. Thanks for the awesome songs you've given me as a kid and now.
This song got me through leaving a very broken home and moving into one from childhood for a better life. I'd be lying if I said this little song from a band from my hometown didn't move me in ways that made me cry my eyes out. Thank you for helping so many of us with the grieving process with your music.

Wow, what a powerful song. Reminds me of losing my mom to cancer and having to sell her home cause I couldn't deal with the memories of that house, she was my only family. And years later I lost a friend to suicide, it really hits home.
