Who didn't think climate change was going to be blamed?

As soon as they interviewed a department of fish and game employee, I knew “climate change” would be blamed. And the reporter ran with it.

I read about large fleets of Chinese fishing vessels that have turned off their tracking equipment so they can fish without restrictions. They call the ghost ships. Could this be related?

I knew before I started watching the video that they would blame it on climate change. Total BS over fishing is the problem USA, Russia, Japan, China and everybody else in the world taking millions of tons every year. Sooner or later the population is going to drop it's common sense.

This is bull. Show me 10 billion snow crabs dead bodies. They can survive for months without eating and are cannibals and will eat their young and smaller crabs if they are hungry. They didn’t die they have just moved and haven’t been found yet. They aren’t finding miles and miles of dead crabs they just aren’t finding anything meaning the crabs are smarter than the people looking for them.
Education is a good thing. Get some!

The crabs are still there, but have moved from the typical areas...zero chance anyone has searched the whole area of the oceans, to say "they're gone"...common sense is so lacking in today's world...could be multiple reasons for them to vacate to other areas of the oceans

These crabs are caught at a depth where temperatures change hardly at all from summer to winter.

It's really not that difficult to figure out, they use the magnetic poles to navigate the ocean floor and if you've been paying attention the poles have been dramatically moving.

An open mind is receptive to increased knowledge. A closed mind not so much.
They have moved. The ocean is too big for them to just die off. We just haven't figured out where they went yet. They have been found regularly as deep as 7,200ft. That's more than twice as deep as any regular sub can dive. Military subs only go about half that. There are only 10 active subs currently that can reach that depth, and they aren't tracking crabs lol. We know very little about the oceans, especially at those depths.
Time for a remotely piloted vehicle - underwater drone - to be employed to start the search. Would be a great demonstration project of the new technology rolling out.

How about the cause of the demise of the Alaskan snow crab being the Russian crabbers in the area. US crabbers have to follow the US and Alaskan fishing regulations, the biggest one being that they must only keep crab over a certain size, and only male crabs (crabs without eggs). The Russian crabbers do not have to follow this regulation, since they are technically in international waters catching "Alaskan snow crab".
Global sea surface temperatures have been broken every day for over a year. These crabs are the canaries in the coal mine.

The guy who works for Alaskan State Fisheries is one, he didn't say much, which tells me they still don't know what's going on, but like all the rest of us, they're tempted to make a guess. Which doesn't help the guys who are headed to the poor house. The media, who usually know less than anyone else, are always looking for click bait.
The fish and game department has biologists and other scientists either on staff or from educational institutions. You don't know that?

Billions?! Really? Billions of crabs? Just missing? Did these scientists go out and search the entire sea looking for them. Maybe it’s possible they migrated to other waters? Animals have instincts to do such things.
Those instincts may still be related to the rising temperatures.

If the crabs have migrated elsewhere it becomes a distinction without a difference. The bottom line is that the crabs aren't in the same areas as once understood.

I have direct knowledge since I worked on crab boats for 3 years in the Bering Sea.Unbridled greed from EVERYONE to get as much as you can while you can.The fisheries limits were never strictly enforced.Observers on board looked the other way.And add in warmer waters and poof!
